Orange can do anything

Orange has been sneaking their way to the top of my list of favorite amps lately.. I've been eyeballing the TH-30 having a hunch it'd be exactly what I'm looking for.. your demo has confirmed it! EL-84's are my favorite for tech/prog metal.. might seem weird but it's perfect for me! This is my favorite orange yet I think!

I went to a local concert, where one of the opening acts was a death core band that had 8 string guitars plugged into Orange bass amps. My neck says it djents.

I've been running a TH30 for about six months now and I absolutely dig it. I run it with no boost, but I'm not tuned very low so it's pretty tight. The clean channel cranked with a boost is a really fun sound too.

That part with your hand and the knob was a really useful way of demonstrating. Really good audio on this video too, you kick Old Englund on this factor, but he burps a lot to our sick satisfaction.

Out of all these Jabronies with guitar related youtube channels, your playing is vastly superior. Thanks for melting my face balls right off.

When are kids gonna learn... YES - vintage style amps still rock. Pedals can take it where you want them to go. Even an AC30 can djent!!!!

Been djenting on a Dark Terror for almost a decade. Loved it back then, love it just as much now.

When Kvelertak came to my neck of the woods, they used Thunderverbs and Rockerverbs and a what I assume were tubescreamers for all the gain they needed for a killer show.

This amp is my baby. the clan channel is quite nice, and you can get everything from scooped killer shred to subtle clipping, however my fav tone out of this thing is low/mid gain. it has "The Growl"

I love my TH-30 too. It does anything and everything. Gets lots of compliments on tone.

i have this amp and the sweet spot seems to be in the 12-2 o'clock range on the tone knob, with the gain high but not maxed out. the low end on this amp is unreal, like holy shit this thing sounds ballsy. if you play in a stoner rock or doom metal band, or just enjoy black sabbath a lot, you'll love this amp

Great video man, looking into buying one of these myself. Fun Fact: Katalepsy run Rockerverb 100's, and I've seen play throughs I believe with Dark Terror's and they are heavy AF.

What a killer & unique sound!! So many people use the 5150 and it ALL sounds the same. This had a nice fresh kick to my ears.

I played one today. Idk who ever said you couldn’t play metal/ it’s only a classic amp. It has gain out the ass and sounds meaty

It’d be interesting to hear it next to an archon, recto and 5150 or revv amp.

One of the best rock tones I have ever gotten was through a th30 i gotta get one!!!!!

I remember Orange TH100 was in a video called Monsters of hi-gain with Ola ENglund. SO it obviously does it. Rockerverb would be more challengeble to test for hi-gain

Would you try making a Friedman Pink Taco sound djenty? I could get some djenty tones with it using a Schecter Banshee Elite 8 string and a Tube Screamer clone at a store

I mean they kinda do already have that amp with sunglasses on. It's called the rockerverb. It can get pretty brutal which is why jim root fom slipknot uses it in the studio lol.

I know it’s an old video but f**ck finally someone with straight hands and bright brain checked out this amp. I’ve spent few years playing it and always awed of its tonal flexibility and “core gain structure”. One of the most musical amps ever. Period. It’s sad that nobody tries right eq’s (like empress effects) in the loop or boosters in front (like horizon) The amp itself is very tight. It just has a ton of woofy low end and ultra quirky one nob eq that is better to leave around Center or you cut too much body or high mids On the other hand this simplicity grants unparalleled raw sonic richness and if you have some mixing skills and right tools you can really get AAA sound out of it. Very contemporary, yet so organic. The only reason I’ve parted ways with this jem is that at 30 watt it really didn’t cut in our rehearsal room with live drums. Not that it wasn’t loud enough, but as with every Orange, volume nob is another sonic setting and at higher numbers el84s saturate way too much for djenty tone. I tried th100 and tv200 after but my oh my that are absolutely different beasts without unique magic of th30. Damn, I miss it.

Jim root from Slipknot and stone sour uses a orange rockeraverb mk3 100 watt amp head yeah he uses active emgs but still best metal sound

The Amp sounds great, its not a 100 watt monster but its sounds perfect

Hey trey. I get the point but i would've loved to see (or hear) a comparison of between the orange and a more typical djent sound. I feel this way you're only giving half of the picture. Just my opinion though cool stuff and keep it up!

If You like orange amplification check out Pauolo Schroeber - Condor FC-7 Guitar Demonstration...... The guy had a bad heart and died a few years ago but his guitar playing far surpasses 99% of everybody going today..... it’s about 3 1/2 minutes long but mind blowing......

I do djent on a Fender licenced Korean strat copy at about $80 and an Orange Micro dark plugged into shitty apple headphones.

Beware if you’re buying one of these if you like shredding, you’ll need a solid overdrive pedal because the dirty channel on its own sounds horribly fuzzy when playing fast high up on the fret board. Riffs up top however sound fantastic
