HTF, Chase Holland racing, Kickin' Asphalt, Landon Huffman racing and the like got me reconnected to local track racing in general. Been to the local dirt track for 80% or more of the races in the last 3 years. even making regular trips up to an asphalt track a couple hours away these days. I was likely at thtese tracks 10% of the time for 15 years before. This coming from a guy that was at a local short track (Langley, Dixieland, South Boston, Southside, Saluda, etc.) almost every weekend for 25+ years growing up. We were a racing family for most of my life. These channels reignited my love for racing in general.

As far as drivers “just doing RU-vid and social media for the money”, it’s a lot better than the most historically popular way to fund racing…..drug money. And the ever popular embezzlement. Be grateful that there are people documenting their racing efforts for us to see. It’s good for everyone

Justin you are 100% correct. two and half years ago I had no idea who Tanner Holms was. I stubbled across his you tube and have been a big fan ever since. I have slipped him a couple hundred dollars from time to time, have purchased tee shirts mail order and never missed a race he is racing in that is live steamed. I have never met him but have enjoyed feeling invested in his journey all because of his RU-vid channel. Same can be said for TMez. It adds to the fun of racing.

Racing is 100% all about the money, always has been. Don't misunderstand me, the driver has to have talent. No questioning that, but without the money the driver isn't going anywhere. Langenfelder told me all i need to know about him when he took shots at the HOF guys Christianity.

I found Tanner holmes while watching a Tim Nash old#7 garage video and have been a big fan ever since. RU-vid sent me a HEY we think you might be interested in The 18t sprint car and Driver Tanner holmes. I've met Tanner at Chico and we just happen to be in Kansas city when he was racing at I 70 after its rebirth. Tanner and Carly and whole family are Just good ppl and I'm proud to say I'm one of his biggest fans. All my 4XLT tee shirts and hoodies hanging in my closet are my way of supporting his racing career.

I have been watching HTF on you tube for a couple years. Never knew anything about dirt track racing before that.....and now I believe it to be the THE BEST motorsport to watch. Talk about building a fan base? How about bringing NEW fans in while other motorsports are not doing so well? There are about 150 great things to say about the Joiners. I am a fan.

HTF is the reason I subscribed to you. I race dirt bikes and they got me into 4 wheels. Quality content and a great story. Been subscribed to them since back when Joseph bought a dump truck to start making a living and he went to win the national 100 shortly after and committed to racing and RU-vid. Big fan of David Gravel, Tanner Holmes, ans Landon Huffman as well, but HTF is what started it all

I can speak directly to how helpful a youtube channel/being consistent on social media can be. I only have 4 sponsors but 3 of the 4 were a direct result of the channel and/or social media content. And I was able to crowdfund enough for a replacement motor ($4K for an LS1) because of the support base i’ve developed since I started racing. As Justin said it’s an astronomical amount of work, but if it’s done well and consistently it can absolutely pay off and create some amazing friendships/connections in the process.

From down here in Oz, as well as this channel, I follow HTF, Tanner and Ttmez as they have a racers view. As well as the Aussies running sprint cars there is Todd Hobson who s running other categories in the states at the moment and his channel is work a look

Yes a friend of mine when I was trying to put a channel together for RU-vid who hard it was for me, it was just me and Rick Stickler who was the driver up until the had a life changing stroke, it's not just video and put it on RU-vid, you have to edit it before you post it, and when we were at the track I was trying to video and work on the car so it was easier for me just to video the races and edit and post them or just go live during the night. So it's not as easy as you think it is and your not going to get rich from RU-vid until you have thousands of followers or viewers following so just think about it !

I hate that they parted ways on bad terms but to be honest I think Langenfelder got as much from the deal as the Joiners. I don’t know anyone that ever heard of Langenfelder before the HTF sponsorship. That’s what he was paying for. His brand and name grew as theirs did. Who knows how much that benefitted Langenfelder. Would’ve been smarter to just go out on good terms business wise for both parties.

I disagree with you. This deal was tilted largely in favor of the Joiners to the point it was nearly a one way deal. HTF never helped him hit his target market. Look closely at what Mark's company does and where they do their work. He didn't get a large hospital piping/HVAC job because his name was on the side of a race car 850 miles southeast in a different time zone. Large scale industrial project managers who review bids and choose contractors for these types of jobs aren't typically looking at rear quarter panels of dirt race cars. Mark knew that but and it didn't bother him one bit. Mark Langenfelder was a big fan like many of you and wasn't looking for much in return from the Joiner's beyond appreciation for what he did as a huge benefactor to the team. The day he felt betrayed and unappreciated he turned the money spigot off. It was his sandbox. They will miss him. The Kubota deal may be equal or larger, but it comes with a far higher level of accountability. They would have been a far better team with both sponsors.

@@scott1708 I agree with you 100%. Mark took them to the level they only dreamed of. They had a personal relationship and they are now going to lose it with Kubota. Kubota is only on board with the broadcast side and sweetened the deal with the cars. Joshua and Liz are the ones getting this sponsorship. They were searching for help with race payouts and tv help.

I watch HTF and tanner Holmes because I'm not able to attend races I love dirt track racing and all that goes into it. JJ Joseph Joiner and tanner Holmes have incredible talent and what is it that you do is try to gain attention exactly what they are doing. They try to stand out from the rest in which they are doing. If you are able to gain a bigger sponsor to help spearhead that then who would turn it down. If I could add sponsor to my semi I most definitely would because our dreams we are chasing all cost money.

As a former patreon supporter of htf since 2019, they have grown leaps and bounds. Mark helped get them to another level as did patreon. I wish them well but grew tired of the bombardment of ads especially for merch and presenting sponsors. Overkill IMHO but good luck to them moving forward, i hope they stay humble and successful it's a great series but met with obstacles like HL

Losing a major sponsor is a big deal. Unless you are "Richie Rich", you need as many sponsors for your race team that you can get, to help out with racing expenses.

@@Ever443 Kubota wanted the sponsor spots on the the car that Lang was located at (hood and rear quarters), and Lang didn't want to relocate from those prime spots. Apparently the new Kubota deal is > the Lang deal was. Still, it's a shame they couldn't have come to a new agreement that would have benefited everyone.

My 2 cents...converging interests Kubota High limit sprints, no latemodels as they are World of Outlaws. The are trying to get a foot in the door with the HTF series, become a prime sponsor and then split into High Limit Latemodels Hope the HTF guys have safeguards in place

Justin you telling the truth my b buddy is now 60 years old it was a major struggle to run every week. The cost of racing the last 20 years because of nascar drivers continues to double e a ch year. Super latel models used to be 15,000 in 2012 we paid 30,000 for a warrior crate late model fans wonder why certain drivers are not racing any more let them start paying for buying a new car parts fuel for car then the Tru c k s t 4 to 5 dollars a gallon. Tires at $200 each. You wander wh y so many are on you t tube it's very easy. I am surprised Jessev is s t ill dtiv I ng. With them losing their major sponsor don't expect any trips outside their local area. Too much cost. D I nt be surprised the HTF drops off the their own tour next year without a major s sponsor that's for a ure.

Let’s be honest, dirt track racing has been losing popularity for years now and if it weren’t for the content creators shining light on a dying sport, the stands wouldn’t be as full, the merch trailers wouldn’t be selling and the local tracks wouldn’t be able to stay in business. They’re helping to keep this sport alive and not only building their own fan bases but capturing the eyes of the next generation dirt fans.

I love HTF, but they need to hire a crew chief, if they want to compete on a national level. It seem like they have the backing and the money, but when they travel, they get their a$$es handed to them. I love seeing them at my home track(Fairbury Speedway) for the Prairie Dirt Classic, but its disappointing when they can't make the show because their car setup is garbage.

Crew chiefs are hard to come by. The technology changes so fast with the Supers these days, that a winning crew chief this week, may have his car not make the show next week.

Justin with 2 episodes in a row calling out dirt fan stupidity, but unfortunately the ones that need to listen surely won't. I've said it many times before, while dirt racing fans fancy themselves "good ol' boys" and so on, most of them are just a bunch of perpetually outraged Karens that aren't happy unless they are complaining or upset over something happening, and "some RU-vidr thinkin' he's a racin' driver" is definitely one of those things. I always found the hate for Tanner Holmes to be the funny/sad. I'm not even sure if he can drink yet but he's already got Outlaw fast times and top 5s, and has managed to make himself one of the most recognizable names in sprint car racing by showing how social media can be used to advance your program... Yet every time he misses a transfer at a track he's only been to once or makes a mistake battling much more experienced guys, there's always some grown men in the comments taking a dump on him with "he ain't a racer he's a RU-vidr, he should pack it up and go home" and so on. Pretty pathetic.

Wouldn't matter what they we're doing whether they were still a race team that struggled with financial and equipment affordability ppl will still point their fingers oh they're doing this and that wrong but they can't point out everything they are doing right and how they have came by it honest and put in work to get where they are. Ppl who are always negative and scrutinize ppl who are good hard working ppl. Stay away from these people they will have you doing wrong and thinking your doing right. Don't fall for the whispers of the serpents who don't want to see ppl happy and succeeding at what they love to do. Try something New like being decent 🤷

So, by your logic, every Christian business owner that makes a business decision to better themselves and their position has automatically sold their soul to the Devil? Hate to break it to you, but that’s not how it works. These guys race for a living, and that takes major money. Coming from a family that racing put bread on the table for, it requires so much money to do it, with very little coming back into their pockets. As Jonathan has said before, no one is getting rich. If they had a bigger sponsor come along that offered more money to allow them to perform better, and there for provide better for their families, why wouldn’t they take it?
