I found that surprising as well, but in order to examine peoples behavior, you need to explore and investigate pretty much everything. And since he hates single men and he shames them into "manning up" and taking a bullet for the team by taking a raw deal called "marriage" he needs to explore the dungeons and basements of our parents were we dwell in order to have a complete view of our psychology.

at 00:50 seconds Jordan Peterson instantly sees that the person he's talking to, would like to add something, so he doesn't continue talking and immediately Jordan hands the conversation right back over! That's interesting I always hear him saying how to have a real conversation with people but this is the first time I see it perfectly played out. The ability to share ideas and further the conversation by allowed both parties to have a chance to talk and not be talked over, it was just so cool to me I had to type this out.

@@sebastianshaw210 psychopath is a mental disorder that is biological (meaning they are born like this) while sociopath is someone who loses empathy usually through abuse and other things where they are not born on. Both are clinical mental disorders and not just a term to through around easily.

Listening to this book on audible at the moment and don't know why Jordan never mentions that this was a reserve police batallion, filled with ordinary family men. He never mentions this in any talks and is important than stating that they were the police! These men were factory workers, lorry drivers, business men, waiters, teachers, etc. Most weren't even Nazis and most didn't have any hatred to the Jews, yet its so crazy when you hear what they were willing to do even though they were disgusted by what they were doing.

That last part really gets me. I genuinely hated state mandated masking to the bone. The mandate was fundamentally immoral. But at the end of the day despite my hatred I went along quietly even if I didn’t wear my mask at university when someone wasn’t looking. No real great consequences, but imagine if you were genuinely risking your life for interfering.

I wish Jordan did more talks like this. This was informative and entertaining but somethings he says are just flat out wackadoo. The RU-vid channel Hugo and Jake does a critical reading of Jordan Peterson's book 12 Rules for Life. Its a multi-part series but Its worth a watch if you haven't seen it

I have many relatives living in the area around Magdeburg, in Germany (I'm a natural born citizen of the US). As Angela Merkel has increased the number of "refugees" that are brought into Germany, this middle-class family of teachers, scientists, and technicians has grown increasingly radical, and a re supporting political movements that they never would have considered for instant, in the past. Most of them now support the AdF (Alternative for Germany) Party. Two of them wish for a return of the NSDAP (they want the refugees gone, one way or the other). Once again, these people are educated, middle-class folks.

Stefan Ritter I hope the U.S. learns from Germany’s mistakes. Even Merkel has admitted the number of migrants were a mistake. I watched a video of a 16 year old German girl who described how her life had changed since the migrants arrival. How she can’t go out alone but must always have her brother with her. Just a simple thing that teenagers all look forward to, a little freedom to meet with friends is denied because it’s unsafe. It broke my heart.

It's hard to even grasp the amount of emotional pain and fucked up horrible nauseating experiences that victims felt during the holocaust try to imagine the millions of individual experiences extinguished in such an appalling and gruesome fashion just incredible *howw* could this even happen I'm 20 and for my generation this is completely unimaginable

I have listened to a psychopath that doesn't fit the moral side of the equation. Hes an interesting character to say the least. For example, yes he lacks emotional empathy, but as far as action he is a compassionate and caring individual. To clarify, he doesn't feel empathy, but he helps oppressed individuals and genuinely loves people. So, i don't think they go hand in hand- morality and a mental disorder (I'm sure Dr. Peterson would agree). In some cases, his psychopathy has been an advantage in dealing with less than hospitable individuals that have given him death threats, etc. Because the man couldn't care less, he gives these people his location and makes it easy for then to show their cowardice (don't do that lol). Anyhow, not sure if this needed to be said or not.

Based on personality typing it is believed that Hitler was an idealist. He believed that what he was doing was the right thing to do at the highest level. As he attained power, that power twisted a mind that was already confused about how to implement healthy societal change. I don’t believe that Hitler would have been a killer if he hadn’t been given power. Killing one person does not bring about idealistic change. I think the real question is who gave him the power. I’m fairly certain that someone with incredible amounts of money backed him. That’s the person who should really be exposed, maybe they already have and I’m just not yet aware of it.

You don't and can't know the atmosphere associated with wartime, perhaps recognizing you're doing nothing but speculating is the smartest thing to do here. Even if it wasn't explicitly said that they would be hurt if they didn't do these horrible things, it was certainly still in the atmosphere
