Wow. Hats off dude. You just made the best 20 minute argument for org mode that I have ever seen. Please keep making these, org mode needs more people like you that can effectively communicate its usage to people.

@7:23 Adding separator to table: All you have to enter is "|-" as the first 2 characters of the table and push tab. @18:09 Saving while in the agenda buffer will save all org buffers on regular Emacs. Maybe same on Spacemacs?

🤔 damn it. Let's switch to spacemacs. You do a great job at "selling" emacs btw (not to mention the thumbnail is quite fantastic and somewhat 😏). I can't wait for another video. I do believe videos like this one should be shown in school, just as a simple class in a more general, comprehensive course. If anything this video reminded me of what Luke Smith is doing on his channel as well, offering a taste of what the thing can do and letting you find out more.

The pain of typing begin/end_src is gone. Pressing Ctrl-c Ctrl-, will display a self explanatory menu .If you press s it will insert an empty code block if you press q it will insert a quote block. Another thing if you press Ctrl-enter it will insert a heading similar to the previous one even if you're in the middle of typing some text for a subheading , the cursor will jump to the next empty line and insert a new subheading. If your cursor is on a heading it will insert the same heading at the end of this one. I don't know if I make sense here. Well just try and you'll understand. Anyway thank you for you videos I learned a ton of things already and i can't wait for the next one. edit: When making tables you don't need to add all those dashes and + signs , just add one dash and press tab and it's done.

you can simply do "C-c -" in org tables to insert that dashed separator

Great video! On my Spacemacs it's *M-S-RET* (Alt-Shift-Enter) to create a new subtask / item...

Very nice! Had you done this a few months ago I would have saved a lot of time :) I hope you get around to doing the more advanced topics at some point. I've watched all of Rainer König's videos on orgmode, so I'll be particularly interested in seeing advanced topics that he hasn't touched already :) Oh, and of course general Spacemacs/Emacs stuff, magit, tramp, etc. One question to finish this comment off, what setup do you use for making these videos? I like the jumps between zoomed-out and zoomed-in, as well as the keypress capture at the bottom.

Can't create a subtask by capital T. Also can't find subtask from document of orglayer of spacemacs. May I have the version or branch of your spacemacs?

Quick question: I've used your code for the multiple options when toggling t for the TODO tasks, but when I toggle it comes up with the buffer on split screen on the right. How do I make it come up on the bottom like you did in the video? Thanks

How to easily format a bunch of lines into nicely formated prose paragraph like Libre Writer. I used to select text and press key sequence to format nicely. I used this function all the time. Have forgotten. Been scouring docs, can't find anything. Please help.
