hi hi! hope you enjoy this long video whether you watch it all the way through, play it in the background, or maybe get inspired to organize and decorate your own manga collection! :D i certainly love watching these kinds of videos too. i'll probably do an updated shelf tour as i get more manga in the (near) future hehe.

@@haosienani7882 hi hi! the Union is not to help with restocking manga volumes but a way for the employees of Seven Seas to rightfully, properly and fairly get compensated for the work they do. meaning better pay, benefits, reasonable work expectations, etc. there's a variety of reasons why manga is out of stock or slow to get back in stock, but the Union isn't related to that. hope that makes sense! :)

All the merch really livens up the mish mash of series I put together haha! I wish I had enough space to give dedicated shelves to series I really love :') But yes! I have a one-volume manga video planned. I haven't read a lot, but I do have a small list. There's a few more I still need to read before I can plan out the full video. Yessss the Horimiya school festival is such a vibes bc of the two XD Aa fair enough! It’s not a perfect series by any means. At some point, I went through it for those “special moments” rather than totally loving the parts in between. I adore it regardless, but that’s just me hahah. Like you know when you overlook a flaw 😂😂 I enjoy watching org videos too. Like in general and not just manga haha. Room tours, desk tours/makeover. Gimme everything 🥲

@@cadence_la After watching this video there are too many series I want to get my hands on lmao. I built my bookshelf with a friend from scratch not too long ago and I’ve just recently ran out of space and had to resort to stacking a tower of books at the very top lmao Got in all the Kaguya Sama and OPM books that are currently available for purchase and I’m waiting on a package that should complete my Hells Paradise collection. I really enjoyed reading those series. The collectors edition for Maison Ikkoku is something I would like to own eventually and I will say Daytime Shooting Star looked super clean on display I’m for sure gonna add that to my list

@@DeadMannn ohh nooo! honestly, we always underestimate the amount of space manga takes up...especially since some are ongoing 🥲 i thought what i had was good for some time but here i am 6 months later and even the extra shelf i got may not be enough 💀 ah ok very solid series! 😎 i'm also looking forward to the HP anime. hopefully there's a timeframe for when next year it'll be released lol. DSS is a really cute and fun story! Mika Yamamori doesn't go wrong in my book 🥰

I respect facing volume 10 of Barakamon forward to cover up missing volume 15 haha. I'm in the middle of organizing my manga with more on the way, so I enjoyed your video! I like all the Horimiya stuff, oh and all those polaroids are real neat! I realize after watchin this I need to get some volumes of "My Dress-Up Darling." I really like My Dress-Up Darling, I'm mostly caught up except for a few chapters, the anime was great as well. I just read it digitally and would like to get physical copies of it. Just a suggestion if u want to try reading more of your manga I give myself a cap were I need to read at least most of the books I bout the last time I got some which is generally 80% and then I let myself get more when I get to that point so by the time new books arrive I have time to finish the remaining 20% from my last shopping trip ❤❤

As manga collectors, we have an obligation to stare at our collection for extended periods of time hahah! 😉And yah! I had a spare riser and thought hm. A rare big brain moment XD I'm sure you can relate, but if we could have full bookcases dedicated to shojo/josei/etc, we would 🥲 And yes! I'm so so excited to see how Perfect World wraps up. Only 2 vols left and aaa the wait is tough D: I think The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting is a good in-between sandwiched between Way of the Househusband and Yotsuba hahaha. I knew I could make it work somehow 😉 Ohh someone I chat with mentioned about picking up Ao Haru Ride through their library. I know you want to collect it, but just in general, I always forget that libraries carry manga too haha. Do/Have you borrowed or bought ex-library copies? (Totally unrelated to Ao Haru Ride but just my mind goes on tangents connecting 2 different scenarios together lol) But I always appreciate your comments and glad you enjoyed! 🥰

@@cadence_la I haven’t been to a library since I started reading manga, so I haven’t read a library copy, and honestly, I probably wouldn’t want to buy a library copy unless it was in fantastic condition.. I’d rather pay more to have a new copy that hasn’t been handled by a lot of people and been in and out of many different homes 💸

The scalpers taking advantage of OOS series. I see that a lot for Yona and I’m like nuuu don’t do it y’all. Yona’s getting reprinted this year 😭

This was amazing! Such beautiful set up! I used to organize by genre/demographic but now I am organizing more of themes as well. I loved the creator shelf so much. I have one similar. It’s called my otaku shelve cause it’s all about collecting and I was going to put my dress up darling on it when I can find volume one. I also have a history/learning/ Autobiography shelf that I love. Keep my lgbt mangas together on bookcases and next to all my Clamp Works bookcase. I am moving so will get a lot of ideas from this. Where did you get the wooden stand things that you slides your prints in?

Thanks so much! 🥰😭 Yah I used to organize by shojo/shonen/etc. but then it made more sense to me to group by theme. Easier to pick out what to read if you’re in a specific mood~ Ooo what would be in your otaku shelf? And also a history/learning shelf! Sounds really interesting. What are you thinking of putting there? I’m trying to think of which series fall under those categories 😯 it’ll be exciting tho putting away and organizing once you’ve moved! i'm honestly so glad it worked out haha! i wasn't sure how everything was going to look after i reorganized but really happy with the result XD i must have disappointed you because i haven't read Ajin yet even though i have it haha 🥲 but i will read it! i've heard a lot of great things about it. and then after i read it, i'll watch the anime :) what's the genre of manga/anime that you mostly enjoy? yess i'm glad you like the JJK shelf! all the merch makes that corner look fun 🥰

Not everyone likes the anime style, but I think that's exactly what makes it so good and unique. What I still find so good is that you never know what's going to happen. 😁 I would say my favorite genre is slice of life,romance,thriller,drama,fantasy,action... I think I like a bit of each. Kimi ni Todoke and Nana is actually one of my favorite animes. How about you? ☺ Where did you buy the figure? its so cute. 🥰

@@ayumi3061 i get amazing by everyone's shelves to be honest. everyone puts in their on personality when decorating and then you get to see which series they really really like too XD i did watch the trailer for the Ajin anime and i was pretty impressed with it. some parts of it are different in terms of animation style, but i don't think it was bad or anything. ah ok i can relate with the genres you like...maybe except thriller hahah. i'm not too good with that unless it's mostly mystery :') my favorite anime is anime is Violet Evergarden, Maid-sama, Horimiya hehe. i buy my figures mostly from AmiAmi! but i have bought secondhand as well. collecting figures is another expensive hobby 🥲

i buy my Japanese manga either through Kinokuniya or secondhand copies through Buyee Mercari or eBay (possibly Amazon JP, but i haven't personally shopped on there yet) ☺ sometimes Kinokuniya won't carry older manga series and in those cases, i'd buy secondhand. but Kinokuniya gives free shipping on orders over $50. the shipping cost for buying from a proxy service will vary. hope this helps! :)

it's not official from it's a resin figure from E2046.com in the Gathering (pre-painted) category ☺ i just looked and it's still available for preorder and should release in Q3 of this year, which should be now until september i believe.

Majority of my manga are in English. I have some in Japanese but I only pick up ones I like and/or haven’t been published in English. I buy either at Rightstuf Anime or Barnes and Noble ✌️ mostly online but there are physical stores I can go to as well :) Aww nooo~ each vol does get quite expensive as they add up too 🥲 online retailers tend to have sales often so you can keep a lookout for those!

aww thank youu! :D hmm i think it's totally fine :) laying horizontal does help with space so i only do it if i need to. if anything, the bottom vol might get some wear and tear if that horizontal stack is shifting a lot (like the vol cover rubbing against the shelf). i don't think i'd stack hardcovers horizontally though. just seems like a lot of weight in one spot. what series are you looking to get into? :)

I do have a dedicated video I did in the past with all my art books if you want to check it out 😊 I get them either online through Amazon, directly from the artist’s website, Rightstuf and Barnes and Noble sell art books too. The links to the artists are in that video description. For the anime/manga official art books, I either get them secondhand (either Mercari or Buyee Mercari Japan) or from Kinokuniya. Pretty sure I shopped for my art books from so many other places but hope this starting point helps! ☺️

ooo actually, kaguya-sama really is a seinen :) it was originally published in Japan under the Miracle Jump magazine and then eventually Weekly Young Jump, which is where it is now, but both are seinen demographic magazines. it's really based on the source magazine, is how i understand it. it can get kinda confusing. bc for ex, Romantic Killer is in Shonen Jump+ magazine but got picked up by Shojo Beat. but despite that, i wouldn't consider it to be a shojo just because Shojo Beat is publishing it here. hope that makes sense! ☺
