Terson Dai Probably pink since that's the majority of it. The outermost leaves are green and the center is yellow, but everything else is a shade of pink.
Found this video around 2015... Started to obsessively make these flowers. I've been folding these little guys ever since; these flowers have pulled me through stress, depression, even a couple psych ward stays. I still carry small pieces of origami paper and gum wrappers cut into squares to make these when Im bored or waiting out in public. Thank you so much for making this video!
Thank you for making this. I am part of amnesty International, and we are using these flowers as a peaceful protest to rescue the refugees. You tutorial has made a difference :)
I just found this video again, I remember watching this back in 2016 for a gift and then it became a habit to make lotus flowers- it was so calming and fun, it was cathartic . Been meaning to get back into origami, I just want to make a thousand lotuses now cause this tutorial and method is so much fun. I started remembering how to do it by muscle memory despite it being five years since my last lotus I think haha, just shows how much of an impact this video had on me. Thank you for the great video, very instructional and helpful- especially for someone who wants everything to be perfect, a little tear here and then is okay.
Greatest tutorial I have EVER seen in my life.I have tried oragami a million times but I cant get right.Im doing a fun project and it includes a flower but I cant find a better tutorial thanks so much Andy Oragami
Thank you. I like that you were detailed in how you explained things, showed them more than once, and showed pictures of different angles. It made more sense to me than other videos. It helps a lot that there were spoken directions, not just a silent video, and that you have a calming voice. If anything different, it would be useful to slowpokes like me you would pause between steps, to say something like, next we are going to turn it over (or whatever)- instead of saying it while you do it. My brain is too slow, and my hands, to catch up with you then. But thank you so much for making these videos.
I remember following the tutorial to make a lotus flower for my mom, it's been quite a long time since. Belated thanks for the video by several years :)
Thx! It was gr8, I have feed back on how u can improve your videos🙃 1. Maybe go a bit slower, yes I know i know u can always stop it. Good feedback 1. You have definitely practiced ALOT. 2. You do good creases
I struggled trying to do this with paper without ripping, tried it with kitchen tissue instead and it worked beautifully! thank you so much for your video. You explain things beautifully
Omg. This is great how it turned out! Thank you! It's easy, I guess. Except the folding g to the center so many times. The paper was too thick!! But, anyways, it was awesome!!
OMG! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL! This is the first origami ANYTHING that I have made that has actually turned out good. I love how it's little and it was very easy to make.
2:58 i thought you were gonna do another fold to the center and in my mind i would have been saying to you I CANT MY FINGERS HURT AND THE PAPER IS TOO THICK! but it was just a corner
Paper was too thick I couldn't fold it, it was resisting and would bend and make so many marks... I ended up destroying it pretty much... Also, Andy: don't be afraid to rip it.... Me: Rips it in half...
-about to do the folding paper back part for petals- My mind : HECC NAH IT’LL BREAK! Video: No need to worry, it’s too thick. Paper: I’m about to end this whole man’s career.
that is a really cool project, while I was attempting to make it my paper ripped when I was flipping the petals. but It was a super fun project to make.
Hi Andy - Thanks for the great origami videos. I'm interested in making short math videos and would like to know how you set up the shot so that the video is shot from above. It works very well when showing the steps of a project. Do you use a tripod? If so, do you mind telling me what kind it is. Thank you so much!
