Great show. I Really appreciated the clarifications. I'll be pooping green tonight, behind some of those athletic greens. I sometimes struggle using the term mentally ill instead of the "c" word. Lets remove the stigma so people don't worry about being ostracized for seeking help.

Slightly agree with you on Alverez vs Jamie....If Jamie conditions his body at a high level...pushes Canelo...keep the defense tight....can evetually get Canelo... reminds me of Hagler vs Mugabi...Duran vs Barkley...Durans vs Sims...or could be where the younger fighter challenged but emerges lIke Holmes vs Norton of Holifield vs Qawi ....just like you stated Teddy...Jamie almost there but not quite...Defense wise...to open for counter punches...look for a Ray Robinson vs Fullmer 1 tyoe of ending...Fullmer very capable of beating an older Robinson but not there yet...still vulnerable against a great older fighter...2nd fight showed that Fullmer was a beast .. experience improved his chances of beating a great older fighter in Robinson...see that here....

In Bare Knuckle Boxing you are allowed to hold and hit. They call it dirty boxing in MMA and Bare Knuckle Boxing. This is one of the reasons Butterbean was a much better MMA fighter than he was a boxer.

When it comes to Ryan Garcia, I agree with Atlas with the mental situation. It seems Ryan deals with pressure in a emotional manner sometimes. I'm not saying he's crazy. But what I'm trying to say is people deal with high pressure situations in their own way. I think Ryan is a nice person at heart but being the nice guy is not always easy to remain. I think he tends to respond emotionally. I speak from my own experience. It's hard to remain professional when everyone seems to come at you in a dog eat dog sport. He's still young and it's a lot to take in and that's how he deals with it, I believe. Plus Garcia has came out and said he's dealt with mental situations and needed time off. Which I respect and understand.

Mental health is no different than cardio health except one centers around the brain and the other, the heart. My problem with Ryan is: is he PRETENDING to have mental health issues because, if so, that speaks very poorly of his character, that he would mock the MILLIONS of human beings who deal with mental health issues AND old school stigmas about it. (That are, thankfully, dieing out). It's NOT that Ryan MIGHT be mentally ill, it's that nobody knows if he's FAKING and that's NOT OK. That's a really BAD posture to take. Certainly in terms of PR. He's also well past the point of parenting and he is NOT a "kid". He's in his mid20s and that's a GROWN MAN. If you're suggesting he's too juvenile to know what he's doing, then he's too insane to be in the ring. Ryan needs to make up his mind: DOES he have a mental illness or is he MOCKING the problems and suffering that many Boxing fans may deal with themselves, or have family who do? No, Ryan needs to OWN his choices and if he's been mocking mentally ill people, then he needs to come clean, apologize, and start conducting himself like a professional athlete instead of a 12 year old.

The ultimate goal is to communicate my opinion and to be objective when covering topics. I understand it hits a nerve when someone is able to succeed in a different way other than the tribal knowledge or experience you have. We are all human but this topic, I have to comment on.

It can take a minute to get your confidence back after a surgery to the knee like that, especially if it gave out on you. But the surgery makes that joint MORE stable than before, so you can trust it. :) Just keep up with the PT and don't pack on any extra weight. Great fight breakdowns as usual, thanks.

When Ortiz fights in August he will have had 3 fights in 2 years which is hardly excessive inactivity. As for his last two fights having ended in the first round, he would have had full training camps behind him for both those fights. I can't see Ortiz having any real issues regarding ring rust come this August. That being said I'm picking him over Tszyu but it will be a hard fight.

All I am saying is that we should agree and disagree on the facts and avoid personal attacks. Teddy is not racist and loves boxing and boxers to give us the benefit of his expert opinions free of charge. We are all here because we love discussing boxing and mma. Let’s confine ourselves to the facts. Let’s work together to reform boxing as Teddy is helping us to do. If you hate Teddy why not go to a different blog and leave the rest of us to participate without hate. I don’t always agree with him or Ken but I would never question their good intentions and character. He has let us in to his house and offered us his opinions free of charge. You can disagree all you want and your counter opinions are welcomed and make the discussion more interesting but if you just hate the people in here why not find another house or start your own? Personal attacks are not part of why the majority of us are here. Also read Teddys bio/ book or listen to his 3 hour interview with Joe Rogan. I don't run my own RU-vid channel, so I've no idea what it's like to get nasty comments. People have made nasty comments in the past (not many) about things I've posted, and I must admit it has bothered me. But are you both getting a bit sensitive here? I've zero interest in predictions. I couldn't care less if Teddy makes 20 predictions this month and gets 17 wrong. There's far too much attention paid to people's 'picks.' Let's face it, there are only 3 outcomes in any boxing match: win for red, win for blue and draw. And in most cases the matches are not even, so it's not difficult to predict winners. But I'm more interested in something else. I'm more interested in how you think, not what you think. I want to hear a clear case for why someone thinks a boxer will win. If that prediction doesn't come to fruition, no big deal. That's ok. Nobody gets hurt. What does bother me is when people try and analyse fights/boxers and haven't given the due respect to the combatants. I'm still bothered that John Ryder was called a journeyman boxer, it was a scandalous comment that had no merit whatsoever. Anyway, that's me. And I still love the show.

Agree ...with you on Jojo....this is why I listen to you....noticed that Jojo...just had that look on his face if beat down by life....body looked Ok.... skills Ok....Ok...but just look like his heart not there 100 percent....skill wise average ...but survived alot of life issues dedication challenged by life events....Jojo can still make money like Camacho and Duran did by fighting lesser skilled fighters later in their careers....maybe a few of those for retirement stability but not against B kevel fighters ...steal a draw...time to start training fighters ... scouting talent....Still a Lion but an Older one that just does not want ro be King of the Jungle... The most common misquoted verse in the Bible, it does not state money is the root of all evil, it is written the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. And it’s all too common. My own grandfather made a fortune, but left his son to die in the streets and ultimately commit suicide, then he did the same with his grandchildren while he’s making a fortune we were in the gutter going thru sheer hell

Great show guys! Love it. Just wanted to make a point on doing things properly. Why are we excepting Garcia’s behavior ? He wins and sure he looked good, but everybody is forgetting how he behaved (he’s a goof) Being un professional is excepted now?I dont get it. And one last thing this kids fathers .. Haneys ,Garcia’s ,Teofilios and others. There are exceptions like Ortiz’s father class act. They act like idiots🤷🏼‍♂️ this dads have to go… thank you guys! Great assessment by Teddy on Garcia’s behaviour pre fight ..no other boxing analyst picked up on the fact , that Garcia behaviour was probably due to fear ,anxiety, why at the same time giving he self a excuse. Teddy Atlas as the best insight into human behaviour in the sport of boxing .

I don't like that they ruled it to be 14 ounce gloves. The two min. rounds not ideal, but ok, better chance for Tyson. Canelo-Munguia, Canelo comfortably wins.

Teddy is so perfect he's never wrong about anything and shouldn't be held to the same standards as every other human being.
