I currently have a OM 10 stylus on my Pro-ject Essential III and I want to upgrade just the stylus. What do you recommend for the upgrade and can I remove it without having to disconnect the cartridge? Thank you!

@@EA-58 I ended changing it by slowing moving the needle head sideways and pulling gently. It worked, but what an awful design. Very odd. Otherwise great cart. But no, you don't need to remove the entire cartridge.
I wouldn't--I'd take the headshell off. In my experience, I have to pull hard enough that a slip could result in a lot of force going in a wrong direction (i.e., snapping or smashing something) if I tried to tug this off the cart while on the tone-arm.
Can I put a higher-end stylus replacement on a lower end one? If, say, I bought a record player with a OM5E, could I just take of the stylus part and put on a replacement OM10 or OM20 one?
Had a turntable but it had poor upgrade possibilities + I didn't like the looks of it, so I sold it. Getting a Pro-Ject Debut III matte black. That's the cheaper one. The expensive one has a better cartridge but is glossy, and I really hate glossy, but really want a better cartridge than the 5E, so I'm just getting the matte turntable, and then upgrading to probably an OM20 sometime.
@@pim1943 I'm in the same position, 2 years apart, I have the Debut III Matte and it came with the 5E. Was it a noticeable upgrade replacing the stylus for OM 20?
