Not really an accurate comparison. That was an Oscar Mayer WIENER, it's a Turkey, Chicken and Pork blend. You were comparing it to a Nathan's FRANKFURTER, which is an all-beef hotdog. Now, Nathan's only makes beef hotdogs so you didn't have a choice there, but Oscar Mayer? They do make beef Franks themselves. All you really discovered in this comparison is that you like Franks more than Wieners, not anything to do with which brand is better.
I liked the good old nitrate infused Oscar Meyer dogs. I had to bite the bullet and go with the Costco house brand. They aren't as cheap but they taste way better.
I remember grilling Nathan's hot dogs on the grill one summer. The result was that they got black and wrinkled up! Afterwards I use Bar-S hot dogs to cook on a charcoal grill.
Everybody getting so technical on these videos because he’s comparing all beef franks to mixed meat weiner. It’s a DAMN HOTDOG. Relax people. He can still compare the two products.
We buy Nathans a lot when they are sale. They have the 12 oz bun size and the 14 oz longer size both the same price. We opt for the 14 oz as its more beef for the same price.
Oscar Mayer is flavorless. They sent me a coupon for a free package of dogs and I already had some Nathan's in the fridge, so I did a little taste test. I wanted a refund on the Oscar Mayer...
I buy both of them, but I think I'm gonna stick with the nathan's beef bun size. Cost a little more but I feel more comfortable that the ingredients are higher quality.
I tried ALL BEEF, Nathan's, Sabretts, Hatfeild, Dietz& Watson, but Oscar Meyer BEEF are our go-to because of affordable price, BEST taste, & uncured (no-nitrates)
