Thanks for making this comparison! I've seen both recommended without much explanation and it's really helpful to see the bags in depth when it comes to pocket size, features, etc. Thanks for including your height/weight for reference!
Thanks Desy for taking the time to do this comparison. I have just purchased the Osprey Tropos as an upgrade to my Osprey Nebula. From what I can gather, they're essentially the same bag except the Tropos comes with the integrated kickstand, the raised back panel, higher placement of the lower compression straps (which I think makes them more useful than on the Nebula) and load-lifters on the shoulder straps.
Great vid as always! I’m on the Nebula 32 now, and I got a chance to try the Tropos on today and I’m definitely going to get one. The bag just felt so much better on my back than the Nebula.
Impeccable timing for me. I love my Tropos, so was looking for something a bit smaller in another colour. I was not sure which would best suit me from the online product features list only. Thanks!
Thx for doing this video. I watched your Parsec video and was really well done. I have been trying to choose between them. I think I’m going with the Tropos for the reasons you stated. Great video! Would love to see how the Nebula stacks up against them in your opinion.
yeah i might sell my parsec as i dont use it much anymore! tropos all the way! Unfortunately i don't have plans on getting the nebula soon, but if i do ill let u know!
Damn, they did the same terrible design choice with the Tropos that they did with the Comet. They put the laptop sleeves on the side of the internal compartment instead of your back. That has two major issues: if you load your main compartment, it makes it difficult to get your laptop in-and-out, especially if you have a 15" or bigger laptop. Furthermore, it takes away a ton of space because that 3rd compartment has quite a bit of empty space. If they finally put the laptop sleeves against your back, it will allow you to pack even more staff in the main compartment. It will also let you take your laptop out super easily as nothing will be pressing against it, and it will also add support for your back.
Thanks for your comparison! I was wondering, is the main compartment of the parsec more spacious because there is no separate laptop section like with the tropos?
@@DesmondCheng Thank you for replying. After watching your review, I came across Deuter Utilion 30/ 34+5 daypack. So I will buy either Tropos or Deuter Utilion.
hey great idea! ill try to incorporate that in a future video. Unfortunately i wont be able to get around to that until april / june. Right now I'm fully backed up with other vids!
