Great tips! I just wanna mention 2 things. You can get leather boots from basement of Lumbridge castle. That's easier to reach than Wizard's tower. You can also kill highwayman for the cape instead of buying at Varrock clothes shop. I'm not sure if these are mentioned already in comment section though.

Technically the SoS boots aren't the best melee boots in F2P anymore, since the various tiers of Castle Wars decorative boots are superior. The red boots, which only cost 4 tickets, are equvilant to steel boots, while the ones from the SoS are equivilant to bronze boots. The higher tiers are even better, with the white boots being mithril tier and the gold ones being adamant tier, but they cost 40 and a whopping 400 tickets respectively, which is much more of a time commitment.

Yo xD3m0nx! I would work on your fishing/cooking and get up to Salmon, its a pretty decent food to start out with and you can usually get some for free from people training near Barbarian village. For general day to day end game (not PVP or DS1), I use lobsters (Karamja is the best spot when you start out), but you will need 40 cooking and Fishing for those. If I was doing PVP or dragon slayer I'd probably use Swordfish, Pizzas are better but only if you can buy them from the GE, making them is too much effort for me. If you not ironman though you can just buy food from the GE. 👍👍👍
God dammit. I've played RuneScape since 2005 and I didn't know I could get the chronicle and tele to varrock without runes. Also could be cheaper than using runes depending on the market or how you obtain laws.
@@TetraHax aww man! Keep the faith! RS can be really frustrating at times... I recently got really irritated doing Vampire Slayer for a video... Kept getting KO'ed as i was missing the safe spot... If you don't mind dying a few more times you could try doing some steel leg runs in the wilderness? or play some castle wars? you get tickets to get some gear that's decent for low levels and you don't lose anything if you die! plus you still gain combat exp!
For me personally, once you have done all the quest F2P can become very grindy. Id definitely aim to get the 'Dragon Slayer I' quest done so you can wear full rune or green d'hide (My guide for this is in the works). At that point you can either pay for a membership or start getting gold to buy a bond. In general the Ogresses' at Corsair Cove are probably the place to earn coins in F2P. Plus they drop rune full helms, which if your playing an ironman is pretty much the only place to get one in F2P. If you do farm at the cove id recommend getting at least 40 range and plenty of arrows (Steel or better), again ironmen will probably need 35 magic to use alchemy on the drops. Let me know what you decide! My HCIM has just finished the last F2P quest so ill be using a bond to go members shortly. Thinking I might start by doing some of the achievement diaries and levelling up my slayer...

So I think the best way to answer that question is to ask what you want to do with your character. If you want to go into the wilderness and try to kill other players using magic then you need to look at making a 'mage pure' or a pking build. I'm not great at that atm so I cant advise on the best builds in F2P. If however your making a character to do quests and kill monsters then you can level both magic and melee, in fact I recommend you train all of your combat stats. In general a lot of people run multiple characters, a main account where they aim to max out all stats and then they might make specialised characters. If this is your first character then for sure I'd start with an all rounder, so start with the melee stats. But you don't have to stick purely to that so if you want to train magic don't be afraid to its not a waste. The first thing to do if your starting out is get the 10k coins from competing the stronghold of security: oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Stronghold_of_Security. The best place to farm mobs in F2P is corsair cove, but you need to be able to beat a level 35 mage to complete that quest. I was an experienced player but I quit when hunter came out. I'm a noob again😞 . I can't believe all the shit they got now. Dragon war hammers, throwing knives, spears, claws, 5 staves I have no clue what they area, 100 amulets and rings I dont know. Wtf is a combat braclet. Started about a month ago. I'm lvl 68 so far. Bout to do dragon slayer today I think. I can't believe I have to do all these quests again. Not looking forward to desert treasure, monkey madness, regicide, etc.

I remember when it was £3 a month and I had to beg my mam to pay it for me 😂😂😂😂 Honestly you should try leagues out if you don’t mind paying for membership, it’s like OSRS on steroids I’ve picked up so many end games bosses, skilling and items it’s unreal 👌 unfortunately it will all disappear at the end of leagues but I’ll briefly know what it’s like to swan round the place with max stats 😂 in the normal game I decided to go HCIM for the extra challenge my main is still in F2P got him a membership just to do leagues… least they have full dragon now, used to annoy the hell out of me that there was no full plate, full Helm or kite shield 🛡
Yo man! I'm an old timer myself 😅😅😅 It's a newish way to play where you play with certain restrictions. So in brief (there's a few more restrictions, but these are the main ones), Standard Ironman is basically no trading, cant use the GE, and can't pick up other players drops or items. Hardcore is the same but you only have one life, so if you die you revert to a standard. and the Ultimate is the same as a standard, but you cant use the bank either, (this one is really difficult). oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Ironman_Mode Hope that kinda explains it! 👍😅

Unfortunately you need to buy teleport cards for 150 coins each. The book lasts forever, and you can add an infinite amount of cards to the book. You can buy both from Django in Draynor Village Market 👍👍👍

Hello Freezer Fridge, did you manage to find the Cadava berries? There should be 2-3 bushes in the area you mentioned. They might not be massively obvious. Should have pink berries on the bush but if someone has recently picked them then they will just look plain and you will need to wait for them to respawn. There are 2 mining sites south of Varrock check you are near the SE one. If you’re still struggling you can buy them from the GE for about 114 coins or kill imps they sometime drop them. I only ask because your approach to speed will be wildly different if your going to buy a membership. Members will be able to level much faster than F2P. Also if your 'PK'ing in F2P you will probably want to aim for 40 att, 40 def & 40 range to start with. This will let you wear green d'hide, a studded leather chest, and wield a rune 2 hander. Again if your sticking to F2P for now I'd train in Lumbridge to get going then move to the stronghold of security. Good Question! Basically its just for those players who want that extra challenge. Each type of Ironman has a separate leaderboard and slightly different challenge. In short: A standard Ironman cant take drops from mobs they don't kill, cant trade with players or use the grand exchange etc... Hardcore, have all of the above, but only have one life, so when they die that's it the character reverts to a standard Ironman and they can no longer add to the hardcore leaderboard, there are safe death events you can still take part in like castle wars etc... Finally Ultimate has all of the standard Ironman limitations, but can use the bank. Ultimate is a challenge I'm yet to look into, as no bank would not be much fun! See the wiki page (oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Ironman_Mode) for a more in-depth explanation of each of the types of Ironman. I do it because I like to lone wolf the game and its an extra challenge trying to keep my Hardcore character alive. I have a main which is a standard non-Ironman account and I would always advise new players to go the non-ironman route first.
Sorry for the late reply there, yeah its definitely revived my interest in the game. The 1 life with Hardcore also adds that danger element, not knowing when I'm going to get killed in the stupidest way possible and lose all my hard work 😂 🤣

Apologies if you didn't find that helpful. I included that as the 10th tip as after completing the Dragon Slayer I quest there probably isn't a huge amount of new content to experience and for just more than the price of a pint of beer you can get 14 days membership and continue exploring Geilinor. Some people might want to stick around and only play F2P which is cool, but for me it can become quite limited given the equipment and skill restrictions. If you have Amazon Prime Gaming they do 7 day trials periodically too. You could also buy a bond in-game for about 4mil I'm working on a F2P money making video that will help players achieve that. FYI there's no affiliation so I don't get anything from suggesting people become members, just felt like the natural step once you kill Elvarg.
@@TheLumbridgeKnight for some people not paying any real money is part of the challenge. besides if you just do the free quests and buy premium you're going to waste a tone of time sitting around grinding skills you could have done while F2P and not everyone even likes doing quests. so w.e floats your boat, but the video says "F2P GUIDES" so buying a bond is contradictory IMO.
I hear what your saying man and I appreciate your critique ill bear it in mind in the future. Also I do understand that some people don't want to pay. None of my characters are currently on members atm, as I really wanted to get the most out of F2P. But at base 40 in all my stats (excluding prayer and rc) and all the quests done, I'm feeling like I'm ready to move on. Plus a pure free player even as an ironman could earn enough gold to buy a bond? I estimate from farming the Ogresses' you can make about 55k an hour if you have high alc so you could earn enough gold by just training for 3-5 days at Corsair Cove if you don't mind the grind...
