he probably wasn't in the best since he just got up so the blood flow went right to the lower limbs cause low arterial bp so i would think he was still figuring out what's happening and probably thought of the guy offering the hand as clapping.
Put your vision where the cop's eyes are. He's not seeing it in distant 3rd person view like we are :P He shook hands with the people in his immediate eyesight who expressed wanting to. The guy who didn't get one was standing to his left and didn't have his hand out like the others. He kinda hovered it near his (own) waist in that way we do, when we're not sure if we should extend our hand or not, cause if we do and they don't see it, it's awkward, but if they do and we don't, it's also awkward xP. It happens, lol.
These kinds of cops are the best. They build healthy public relationship. Being strong and fit another good trait for an officer to have. Wow this cops a bit of a badass and has an awesome attitude.
Bullshit. The kids were doing full range push-ups and they did them slower which is 100% harder. The old guy humped the ground for 30 seconds and barely completed one full push-up
@@mintos9499 The old man was sloppy and relied on speed and momentum. I can do 70 plus push ups like that. When i started going slow with pefect form i coud barely do 30 and it damn near killed me. The slow ones are way more difficult but you get better gains. The old guy is still in great shape but the kids were doing a much harder variation of push ups so the old dude essentially cheated.
It was good for students and college. I think both will have positive results from this Students would like to improve on themselves And they will talk/act respectfully to campus security authorities

To those who critique his form, injuries accumulate over time and can limit older folk's range of motion. Some of us need to adjust for these issues, but we keep going and that is point.
Any pushup competition should have clear rules because someone doing chest to the ground up to full extension always gets "beaten" by someone doing cheater pushups using a fraction of the range of motion and I'm always throwing my hands up in the air because 50+ proper-form pushups is HARD, but I could do cheater pushups all day. Regardless of my pet peeve with these sort of competitions, it's impressive he can pull that off at his age, so good on him.

The way those students clap for him at the end of his push-ups, I find it adorable and heart warming moment, you won't see such scenario everyday whereas the students pay attention to a campus cop/guard and gets applauded for what he had done.

I'm seeing some do it more outstretched than others. Just to mention, in warehouse work. There's warm-ups, where we are reminded to keep things inside your 'box' for the best carrying. So if you keep your hands bent at elbow ,along ones side, with legs slightly bent it's your best bet to carry weight. Here it's horizontal, but I'm going with the same idea applies. Make least use of arms and back and most use of chest, to carry( in your 'box') a weight. Like it's said, practice helps.

I get where you're coming from, but as it's a contest I'd say people are critiquing more to make it fair than to insist a pushup must always be done with perfect technique. If you were having a friendly competition to see who could throw something the furthest you'd want everyone to throw from roughly the same spot. Here everyone should do roughly the same pushup. "Winning" the competition after doing banana-back half-reps is pretty unfair when someone else did them properly.

You actually don’t need any strict diet to gain strength. McDonald’s wouldn’t be too bad of a diet for someone who’s focusing on strength rather than size. So yeah, the trick is simply to train. If you do push-ups, you’ll do more push-ups.

Very good. There's a man who takes good care of himself. At any age. Ready to protect serve and possibly save someone's life. And seems like a wonderful person. @Cade Cooper In every group of professional people there will be some who behaves bad sometimes, doctors, engineers, actors what ever, but as a police, You are probably more susceptible to be monitored, by Your bosses and the public, so the worst of them will be expelled rather soon. They have a very difficult job, and they put their LIFE at stake every day. And if the suspect is not behaving the correct way, they have to act with some degree of force, and the person responsible for the eascalition is the suspect or his/her friends intervening. Age isn't a hindrance when it comes to that, it all depends on their lifestyle, A teen or adult can get beated by a 60-70 year old man who has enough training or has a healthy and fit lifestyle
