this game was worth buying for me just for the ability to walk around a gorgeous reproduction of the nostromo. they got everything pretty much perfect.. so nostalgic!
The original industrial design by Ron Cobb withstood the test of times pretty well. And it has been rather influential to Gaming, Television and movies ever since.
I always wonder how the engineering departement thought: "Gerry, your vision for the ship is far to bright and hospitable, make it darker and more unwelcoming. Also add a lot of steaming pipes here and there, for no reason."
It's utilitarian, this isn't some luxury space cruiser it's a simple mining ship. Imagine building a nuclear submarine with pure aesthetics in mind, it would be a waste of time, money and resources and would be unsafe since the main purpose is to keep the crew alive and launch torpedoes. Exposed piping and electronics makes maintenance much easier so there is a reason as to why they're everywhere.
@@elektra81516 I disagree sligthly. My point wasn't that everthing should by sparkly and shiny, rather that the design of the mining ship is excessively gloomy. It is dark and confusing as to be unpractical again. In a nuclear sub, you would have lighting everywhere, you would not have random steeming pipes and the newer ones have considerable comfort for the crew, compared to older subs. Incidentally: The Nostromo itself is built for comfort. It is white and welcoming.
This one is my favorite so far. Witcher Wild Hunt would be great to see here. There are so many games you can do this with that I would love. Batman, Last of Us, Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption!
It's very nice, except for all the jagged edges everywhere. I am a huge fan, but the jagged edges is very distracting... Oh and alien drops down in server room. I beat that level already VERY FUN. I want a multiplayer option for just the NOSTROMO DLC's (Player controlled Ashe and Alien) Would be fun! I am all for no multiplayer in the story mode though.
