I’m concerned. We have no vertical passing game. Only drags and swing passes. Going to be nearly impossible to beat the big teams like that, and be even harder to beat teams in the SEC. Defense looks solid but it also looked solid our first 3 games last year. Time will tell.
This offense obviously has the potential to be great, but for whatever reason there always seems to be a drive-killing play call by Lebby or decision made by Gabriel that leaves you scratching your head. Was that way a lot of last year too, just when it seems like they've figured it out they have 2 stagnant quarters in a row or something. Regardless, I'm excited for this year. Defense looks great, we're making special teams plays, and offense has the ability to score a decent amount.
I hope they get to use stonger next game to get him going defense could be better more sacks drawing up or more take ways still not that sold on the Qb tho he gotta show me something his game not that exciting it's just ok for now I hope show up soon but i think haven't open up his playbook tell we go against the big 12 I'm that's true tho but overall I give them C+ this week with ST showing up💪🏿😤
I feel like BV and Lebby don’t wanna show what our offense is truly capable of just yet, because we saw what happened when they truly needed to score, 2 touchdowns back to back. I don’t like that they played this way but I think when we get to Cincy the playbook will open up bigtime
I hope so. We'll see how we do against Tulsa next week, and then it's Cincy and ISU. I personally think we should be going into Red River undefeated.@@austinmetheny27
@@northface484 Gabriel is fine, he had a couple of dropped passes but was not utilized properly with the way the play-calling was handled. We will truly see what Lebby and the offense do against Cincy. But if we struggle against Tulsa we might be in trouble.
@austinmetheny27 no kid they are nursing injuries to both Barnes and Sawchuck. Once Sawchuck is healthy (fexass game ) you will see the next great OU tailback.
We haven’t opened our playbook yet, the offensive play calling was as vanilla as you can get. Once we play Cincy we will get a true read on our offensive capabilities.
@@austinmetheny27I wouldn’t be surprised if ou wait till after the cincy game to fully open the playbook up. One good sign is our coaches are very confident in this years defense
@@Wildnutty2011 I’m confident as well. SMU has a good offense and we held the to 11, 6 if we didn’t make stupid mistakes. Hopefully we go whoop Tulsa to hell and back to show that SMU was simply just a good team. Also hope SMU goes and wins most of the rest of their games lol
We've had plenty offenses that we're good an still couldn't do anything in playoffs I'd rather have a great defense and a ok offense any day if we beat Texas were playoff bound
