Running those three tools with 63% to spare. That's an impressive application! My daughter and I mixed and poured over a hundred 50 lb bags in a wheelbarrow by hand on a 3 day project last year. My 63 year old back was feeling it Wish I had seen your video back then!

Yikes, my back hurts thinking about that. I learned a lot working with the man who helped with these slabs. For this size project, we were done by the time it would have taken me to pick up a mixer and got it on site. The electric hand mixer and water pump, running of power station, likely cut the project in half. The pads turned out great and we’re setting the heat pumps today, thanks for watching!

@DIYOutdoorLife Yes I have used a mixer for these size jobs in the past but unfortunately it wasn't feasible on that last one. Your method with the power station would have really been a time (and a back) saver! Thanks again for sharing your advice. Glad that your job is going so well so far . It's quite an undertaking! Looking forward to more updates!

Thank you so much for this video! I haven't been thinking about getting the Oupes 2400 for a few months now. I had purchased the Oupes 1200 last July and I love it.

I’ve been missing your videos! (I kinda also would like to know how to pour a concrete slab though…) From what I learned from you so far, I added three 12v plugs in my trailer. I can plug in the fridge in a more convenient location now. I added anderson pp connections to disconnect the battery and use my big goal zero (which also runs my microwave plugged into it) or my smaller oupes. Good stuff!! Thanks!

We have several Oupes 240o’s at different locations/applications. Lots of power, light weight, dependable. Works great as an option to our portable gas generator for our travel trailer….we don’t have to go out in the rain/snow to power the camper…just pull the cord inside and plug it in. Great backup power for our home boiler too. On sale as of this posting.

Thank you for the comment, I have had the same experience. Several folks have warned that their units had issues, most of which were resolved quickly by the company. I think this is a great low-cost alternative to the big brands, as long as your expectations are appropriate.. great price!
@adventuresofthememorymakers
I'm right there with you buddy. My Bluetti AC200P travels in my work trailer everyday to power and charge my tools. It also turns my small mig welder into portable welding system which has saved the day multiple times. It works great for work but is less than ideal for our camping uses. PPS's are like purses and holsters, there is not one perfect power station that does everything you need, so we too are multiple power station owners, just not as many as you have 😆

Concrete can be a ton of fun.. I watered the pads today and they look great, never any fun busting them out and starting over…

Hey Brian, what an exciting project to being working on! Thanks for a little peek at the beautiful area that you work in, and the kinds of jobs you do in off-grid construction. Question: does this Oupes 2400 have similar capabilities to power a camper in the same way that the GoalZero 1500x does, as you demonstrated in another video? I was set on the 1500x and now this has muddied the water a bit- more power, super handy for "away construction" and more backup storage. With your channel discounts on the Oupes and special refurbished pricing on GZ, these two are close in price.
@DIYOutdoorLife
@DIYOutdoorLife Год назад
Hi Julie, thank you so much for watching and supporting the channel! No, this power station does not have the high output, DC plug like a goal zero 1500x. If it did, it would be the cats pajamas!

What a great project!!! My jobs aren’t as big as yours, but I use my GZ Yeti 1000X to run power tools for backyard projects all the time. The Yeti is mainly for camping but helps with projects and home backup power as well. This Oupes 2400 looks like a beast at a CRAZY deal compared to the cost of my GZ. I’d love to find a way to use this Oupes 2400 to replace my heavy AGMs in my Taxa Cricket. They’re sooo heavy. But I can’t figure out how I’d connect it in and still be able to plug into shore power and have my vehicle charge it while towing without having to perform major surgery to the WFCO. Maybe a good project for a video??? Hint hint. 🙂 Keep up the great work!

We’re making some progress, can’t wait to see how it comes out. Unfortunately, that’s one of the downsides of “no bells and whistles”. This unit is large, powerful, and priced very well, but it does not have some of the features of your Goal Zero, including easily integrating into RV. I assume you have seen this video, but this is the way to do it the most simply and effectively. In order to truly be able to remove your house battery, charge while driving and shore power, you will need some open-heart surgery. By doing it the way I do in this video, you could likely replace your heavy batteries with one small light one. While driving or near a AC pedestal, you don’t need a large heavy battery. When Boondocking, you could plug your yeti in like this (helpful to have 2 or a bigger one for long boondocking). @@DIYOutdoorLife I’ve watched that one at least three or four times already! That one and some of your early solar set up and goal zero discussions were super helpful. I like your idea of replacing my AGMs with a small battery. I may do that for our expedition to southern Utah in September. Maybe do the back connection to the RV through the 12V plug like you showed in another video. Thanks as always for the great help to the community and giving us all such great ideas on how to think about these “opportunities” to customize how we use our small trailers. 👍👍👍

I'm just curious as to why you wouldn't throw in some server rack batteries along with the grid tie-in. I mean with 70Kw of power available, why not (other than expense)?
@DIYOutdoorLife
@DIYOutdoorLife Год назад
I would love to. Obviously the expense would be insane but more so, the local utility providers are like working with the mob… lol The permits to put in grid tied systems with utility credits are pretty particular, they don’t want me messing with it…

Hi Brian, I was watching your vids on the Hiker trailers. Any chance you might do a comparison vid between what you learned at their factory to the Bushwhacker? Just wondered if youd still pick the Bushwhacker over the Hiker now that you've seen them. Thanks!
@DIYOutdoorLife
@DIYOutdoorLife Год назад
I will definitely be doing a comparison video, I want to get the 2 side by side. For me, if I could do it all over again, I probably would go with the hiker. I’m working really hard to see if I might be able to even get one this year. I think the ability to build it exactly to your needs is huge, their pricing is great and there’s a ton of value. The Bushwhacker is really good for what it costs, but I think in the long run the hikers gonna be a lot less maintenance.
@bg9419
@bg9419 Год назад
@@DIYOutdoorLife that's super helpful... It does seem like most Bushwhacker owners mod the heck out of it. And finding sawdust everywhere is not what you'd expect with a new product. I thought I was sold on the hatch style galley but the more I watch, I think the back for storage with a door makes sense.
