Hey Nathan! Thanks for that, we were thankfully able to keep things under control and damage was very minimal. 4K is a great format but blu-ray is still fantastic as well. Hey Sam! Yeah blu-ray is still an amazing format and I'm happy with it making up the majority of our collection. If we wanted to upgrade everything to 4K I don't think we'd ever financially recover haha. And thanks man, we're glad to be back and super happy the collection is safe haha. Thanks mate 😊

Thanks for the recommendation regarding the Jumanji remake and sequel, I think I will check them out sometime soon. I'll be sure to leave my experience with the original at the door before I watch them. RIP Robin Williams, he was such a fantastic actor and his role in Jumanji was one of my favourites. Hey mate, thanks so much for the compliments regarding our new set up! We always wanted our collection on display, and we're finally starting to understand how to best operate the camera settings haha. And that's totally fair about Gladiator! I still enjoy it to some degree and it's definitely one I imagine I'll keep changing my opinion on. Even though it didn't click with me as much on my last re-watch, it's certainly a film I want to watch again, that much I can say. Cheers for watching mate, it's greatly appreciated! 😊

Cheers Martin! I don't know what we would have done if the collection got damaged 🤮 Yeah IT Chapter 2 was an incredible disappointment. I agree with you about James McAvoy, some of his scenes were particularly bad and I thought the overall chemistry between the group just wasn't quite right. They messed up the tone of the film massively as well along with plenty of other things that I could rant about for days haha. Hey Stuart! Glad you like the shelving - the brand is called Artiss. If you want to search it, it's called 'Artiss 528 DVD/1116 CD Storage Shelf Media Rack'. Overall we're quite happy with them but they have a couple of drawbacks. The material feels a little bit cheap and setting it up was a bit of a pain (although I'm terrible with assembling stuff lol). However, even though it feels a bit cheap once you first get it, after it's finally set up it looks good and is quite solid. You can also mount the shelving to the wall for more stability although we haven't done that yet. It's quite adjustable as well so if you want a shelf just for blu-rays or a mix of both blu-rays and DVDs, that can be achieved. Hope that helps! Cheers mate 😊

Hey Darren! Yeah we try not to double dip too often. Part of me wants to get the Darko and Plumage 4k sets but like you we have the nice original blu-ray sets as well. Who knows, I might cave and buy them but in general we want to try and reserve our money for new boxsets of films we either don't already own or only have a barebones release of. Arrow just make it so hard! And that's fair about Jordan Peele - Get Out in my opinion deserves the praise it gets but I agree that Us was a let down comparatively (Sarah liked it a lot more than I did) . However, despite it's shortcomings I still thought it was a decent watch and was unique enough for me to be intrigued by any future projects he may be undertaking. Admittedly I haven't seen his Twilight Zone series but I have heard very mixed things about it. We'll see! Terrance Malick's films are a bit of a blind spot in my film watching history, although I really did enjoy Badlands and expect I will like The Thin Red Line too. Will probably try and check out Days of Heaven or The Tree of Life next! Will also make the effort to check out the original POTA series! @@amateurfilmies8844 All well here thanks. I'm in VIC so our months Of pain (long term covid lockdown) are over for the moment and no natural distasters either (knock on wood) so can't complain! I know what you mean about the Arrow stuff. Their sets are so nice and you think well...as much as those Blu rays sets are nice the 4k image would be the best one. lol. I'd prefer to wait for reviews to see if it's worth the upgrade but by then no doubt they are sold out and worth 5 times as much from eBay scalpers 🤨 (damn FOMA!). I MAY get them if I'm flush with cash (which doesn't happen often lol but near tax time is always good!). But there are too many other things to prioritise within my physical media monthly budget than double dips for sets which I have already got decent editions of. Plus even if money was no object there is the whole space issue to factor in. Loving the new shelving and setup/display of your collection by the way, it's fantastic. Mine is a basket case mess at the moment (too much collecting of way too many things over way too many years and just leaving it go until things got out of hand lol). It's a goal of mine this year to empty my office/collection room and revamp the whole thing and make better use of the space and also get rid of a bunch of things which aren't as important or as interesting to me there days as they once might have been (like my comic collection). Circling back to Peele I get what you mean about his POTENTIAL given what he has put out so far. But for me the jury is still out if Get Out was his peak "lightning in a bottle" moment or if he still has some awesome works left in him. He hasn't really done much yet in terms of proving himself over time so we shall see where that goes but hopefully it is a positive outcome. Can't wait to hear about your Malik and original POTA journeys. Makes sure you update us about it in a future vid!
