A day in the life of our eight month old Vizsla puppy Lord Cannon. Product links in channel description. Music by www.bensound.com #Vizsla #Vizslapuppy #Puppy #Puppydailyroutine
We have lost our dog "Pascoe" he was nearly 14 years old, but he was just like your dog in every way. He is a lucky dog. Please enjoy him, life is to short, still missing our dog. He was still a puppy until the end. Really enjoyed your video. Thank you !
Spent 9 years as an estate manager for a woman who traveled a lot---She had 5 Vizsla's and they came to be my favorite breed of dog---9 years they were like my own and what wonderful---loving and smart dogs they are---Energy and being a bit needy is fine even with 5 of them---Loved every minute of it
Oh my goodness! Just found this and it's our baby girl Sadie to a T! We rescued her from a pitbull rescue centre and as she has grown (she is 4 months now) we have realised that maybe a bit of pitty somewhere in there but the long legs and jumps and personality had us quickly realising there is something else amazing in her. And after seeing pics and traits of a vizsla and now your video has confirmed! The covering and "burrowing" under blankets and the obsession with sticks and her absolute adoration of me and her daddy that she follows me everywhere, cant be left alone, just everything! Is so her! Thank u for this insight. This mommy is going to have to get back to fitness routine!
One of the most loving breeds of dog . However , they are pure athletes and need a lot of walks and exercise .I have a friend Viszla named Murphy , he is 14 now .I met him when he was 4 .He is white haired now .Still handsome and l love him very much
Loved, loved, loved this VDO.! I am addicted to the Vizsla's cousin the GSP; our day looked the same in all ways. Yes, they need you entirely, all your time that is not spent at work, but, oh my gosh.... so much worth it!
Thank you for your videos of inspiration and advice. Our 9 weeks old puppy Daisy is now with us at home. Another adventure begins. Your puppy is gorgeous. 🐶
What a great video. I know this is particular to Vizslas but the way you show the daily routine applies to just about any dog I think. All dogs love a routine. I have a labradoodle puppy and have a very similar routine. She is the same colour as your Vizsla. Thanks 😊
We have two male vizslas . Three years is so small about 40 pounds and the one year at last weigh in 70 pounds! We were warned before we got him his dad was bigger, though the standard vizsla is smallest of the game bird breeds...
Oh my gosh. He’s exactly like Parker who we lost barely three weeks ago. He was almost 5. Luckily, Parker’s sister had puppies *today* and hopefully, we’ll be lucky enough to get one. God bless your V!
I have bee n following you since the first video. I am picking up my Vizsla puppy on Saturday!! Oliver my daughters Vizsla will be so excited to have a new playmate. I must go back to your first video and review what I am in for - can’t wait!!!!
Can you give me any ideas on what worked for you - bedtime, beds, toys, training, treats - I am signed up for Puppy kindergarten mid June, but any other help would be appreciated - thank you - I just love watching you both with Lord Cannon!!
@@joanmoore2077 Kong toys were really great. If you are using a crate, we found that covering it over helped him to settle. When he was a complete shark we found that giving him a Kong in his playpen helped a lot!! Getting into a routine as soon as possible is also a good idea and plenty of chew toys! 😊🐾🐾
Love your videos -finding them helpful to prepare me for our new little addition in 3 weeks! In the meantime…time to shop! Can I ask where you bought his grey paw print blanket and wooden food dish stand? Many thanks!
I've just come across your simply lovely video. Congratulations! I shall now enjoy watching them all. We lost twelve-year-old Nelson in June to cancer. we had got Zoltan, a wire-haired version, three years earlier to lessen the inevitable blow of Nelson's end, which he did to a large extent. However at harvest time, Zoltan cut his paw pad on field stubble, and whilst at the vets, two Vizsla pups arrived for their injections. The owner said he was keeping the bitch but was going to find a home for the dog. I said "I think you've found it", and in September Ozskar, another smoothie, came to join us. He is six-months old and full of beans - as well as biro pens, tv controls, Christmas decorations, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Demanding of attention, yes, but repaying it by the bucketful. And Zoltan has become a doting "big brother". What a simply delightful breed!
What harness do you use, all of the pet stores near our place have these really confusing harnesses that make my brain hurts. Send u love and luck from Australia 🐶🐶🐶
such a great Dog 😍 im looking forward to get my Vizsla next year when I have a big backyard. Are you working from home? How long does he stay alone at home on weekdays ?
He is with me all the time, just started to leave him whilst I have a shower! We are working on building it up so I can at least leave him for an hour or two! 😊🐾🐾
Thank you for this video! When considering having a Vizsla join the Family, a video like yours is super useful! How long have you been with him in the woods? I’m trying to understand how much exercise an active Vizsla needs:D. Even though I also noticed that it can also vary quite drastically between individuals.
Hi, I am glad that you enjoyed the video. At the moment we walk twice a day and then 2/3 times a week we will go to the woods for around an hour at lunchtime. If it’s dry he is outside running around in our garden between naps. He is still only a puppy though so we roughly go by the rule 5min walk per month of age. Once he is an adult and his bones have fully formed we will switch his morning walk to a run with me instead. 😊🐾🐾
@@LordCannonTheVizsla , what is the rule of 5 min? Mine is 7-th month now and we jog with him at the morning walk about 1 mile every day. Other way he will run and run and run and nothing can stop it.
@@user-yv7hb8kp1s they say you should walk them around 5mins per month of age each time you take them out. Think that’s more for walking on the pavement. Their bones don’t fully form until they are adults. That’s why we are holding off doing running with him until he is big. But he runs around himself when we take him out. 😊🐾
Мария Сорока Please research growth plates and hold off over exercising your dog until growth plates have grown which is at approximately 2 years of age. In the meantime you can tire your dog out through mental stimulation 😉 🐾
Hi, these videos have helped me so much with my own Vizsla pup, thank you, my pup is only 12 weeks, can you add a link to the large crate you have in this video please, thanks again.
I’m so glad that they have helped. Here is the link, it’s an extra large dog crate from Pets at Home. www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/pets-at-home-double-door-dog-crate-x-large-grey 😊🐾🐾
@@LordCannonTheVizsla Thanks for sending the link, i had an old crate from a previous dog, but its a small one, i was surprised how fast Vizsla grow, thanks again.
Loved this video. Thank you for sharing. Am I ask what’s in the Kong? Also any tips on destroying their beds? My 7 month old has started attacking his 😫
Glad you enjoyed it. So I usually fill his Kong with light cream cheese with either chicken or beef and some veggies then I freeze it. Lord Cannon went through the stage of eating his bed, we took it away and put a blanket on the floor and if he ate that, that went too! He soon learnt not to eat it! 😊🐾🐾
@@LordCannonTheVizsla thank you for your reply. So after a few times of trying with the blanket … would you then reintroduce his bed once he stopped eating his blanket? Our Vizsla is so naughty with it. He’s also started waking in the night … for no reason that we can tell … he doesn’t attack his bed at night - just in the daytime. I honestly don’t feel as tho I can do any more to stimulate him - we don’t stop some days 😫 definitely finding it hard at the moment
@@user-yv7hb8kp1s oh no sorry you’re having trouble too. It’s hard isn’t it. Yes I’ve tried to distract with a toy and this does work. It is mainly when I leave the room or pop out that he does this :(
@@coralallon8217 , when we are out of home, he does not do anything destructive. Actually he just sleeps usually. He ruins his bed only when we are near. So for us it is good, because we can control it. Kong helps much to manage his attention. Bones for dogs too.
I like that the tail is intact. I have read mixed reviews about how it is essential to dock the tail for this breed as it can get injured due to excessive wagging and high energy. Has your pup had any issues with the tail. Thank you
Yes the tail wagging is quite excessive, I often get a face whip, but he has never hurt his tail in anyway luckily but he doesn’t hunt, apart from butterflies! 😂
We are getting our new puppy in 3 weeks. My husband had 2 growing up, so that was the choice. (I raised and trained a Westie). Your first videos had me worried. We are 68 and 70 and I didn't know how we were going to do it! I loved this video, it gave me some great ideas and now I'm not so worried. If, I can just get through those first few weeks! What advice do you have for a schedule the first week or two? (Now that you are experienced) And what food do you like for the puppy.
Hi, how exciting!! It was really hard for us to start off with, mainly because we didn’t know what we were doing! I think going back we should have used a house line and sectioned an area of the house off so he didn’t have the freedom to run around everywhere. Once we got into a good sleeping routine in the day things got easier. Lots of chews and Kongs gave us a bit of a break. Good luck, enjoy. 😊🐾🐾
My Vizsler is nearly 8months. We live in a flat and it is hard. How much food he should consume please. I am giving him 3 meals every 6 hours. He is all the time looking for a food which is so so annoying, he also snores and want to sleep on the bed with the owner. Any tips please? I love your video tho, your dog is very very lucky to have you as an owner!
Thank you. At eight months I was feeding him twice a day and then a Kong in the evening or a chew. Best to get advice from your vet and see what he/she thinks for amounts depending on his or her weight. 😊
