Chef Mark Yu at 53 Restaurant in NYC invited us to taste their amazing creations. (Everything was on the house except tips.) They use our brand stone bowls (clay pot) so we were so interested in seeing how he’s using them. Everything was EXCEPTIONAL, delicious, unique and beautiful. They elevated and modernized delicious flavors from all over Asia and created something new yet with the essence of the homeland. As Koreans, we were so very proud of Chef Mark (who is Korean) for leading this remarkable culinary team. We feel so honored to be able to experience his food and meet him in person. Also, thank you all (my internet siblings) for your love and support. Thanks to you guys, mom and dad are living their best life!

The only thing that bothers me about these type places is the quantity or the serving size. You're obviously paying good money for this dining experience yet when the dumplings come there's only 3 of each kind? There are 4 of you at the table it just seems like a crappy situation to make people decide who gets to try what. The least they can do is give everyone a dumpling of each kind, just seems like basic customer appreciation to me lol. 😂

Yes, I agree with you that the restaurant can give each person one taste or sample of each food. These restaurants make a ton of money 💰 and giving tiny amounts of food on HUGE PLATES is trick that industry uses to make us feel we are getting more food because the plate is larger. But realistically this family like many others, are willing to spend this kind of money for this type of food, and that's why this restaurant can stay in business. When people stop spending their money in these kind of restaurants, they will shut down or change things up

Bf and I went to a very nice restaurant in Dallas called Abacus, everything was served on either large (very) plates or small plates. I remember thinking when seeing our first large plate set before us that it looked like a huge and expensive plate with a chocolate chip in the center! Honestly don’t even remember what we had ordered, but after dinner I felt as though I needed a crane to lift me out of the booth and put me in the car. The food was rich, scrumptious, and sooooo filling! And a funny aside is that in 1963 I had attended and graduated from Isabell’s School of Beauty located just across the street. A Safeway grocery store was where Abacus now stands. 😊

Please tell them, I'm a chicken to try different foods, but really really enjoy them trying the dishes. I would take my Mom to different places, she'd try but I wouldn't. Dad never went. You are a blessed woman in so many ways. A friend from Ohio.
