Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

Elijah is adorable. I love seeing babies grow up. I can't wait to when he starts crawling and talking. I love sourdough bread, its the reason why I love Panera bread so much. Panera has won awards for their sourdough bread.

That bread sounds so good. Do you mind sharing it. My middle son and his wife are adopting a little baby girl. They had sign up to do foster care and this little angel was removed from a drug house. She was a month old. She is now 5 months old. And everything is in their favor to adopt her. I have been following you guys a long time. I just love you guys sharing your sweet baby boy. He is so handsome. Love you guys. I know we don’t know each other but I just love you guys.

Elijah’s facial expressions are really advancing lately! It’s so fun to watch how he reacts to your kisses and attention now! 🤩🥰😍 Regarding measurements on the scale, I’m seeing lots of people do this now. Maybe the availability of kitchen scales has led to it? Maybe RU-vid bakers have talked so much about it that we listened? I do think that since RU-vid has taken us into the kitchens of people all over the world, it has normalized what once may have seemed foreign. I love seeing Ollie lick Harry. 😛🐶🐱

What a precious video tonight! I think Elijah just keeps getting cuter all the time. Love the thought of baking bread but in Houston, Texas right now it’s triple degree heat and I can hardly even think about eating bread much less actually baking it myself! If it ain’t cold I don’t want to eat it! It does make me think about fall though and that’s my favorite season so I’m looking forward to it and cool weather. Thanks for sharing your lives with us!🥰

We don’t bake with weight here in Canada most of the ways you do things in the states it’s the same here. All of my recipes are in cups etc and the construction industry primarily uses imperial measurements too. Our food we buy is metric. Our businesses and industries are so intertwined we need to do things the same way.

Mary you need to always trim your wick to 1/4 inch not just the first time but everytime you burn your beeswax candle 😘

Yes, lots of people don’t know that all candle manufacturer’s recommend wick trimming prior to lighting. It keeps the flame at a safe level for burning, and should last longer.

Flour your fingers so it doesn't get sticky and liguid oz is on a measure cup..so it would make it easier.

Watching from Germany it's kind of weird to see how sourdough is such an "old times" thing in the US while it's the most staple food to have for 1 to 2 meals every day here. What's this thing about lighting a candle? I never heard of that. :D

As an Aussie who has only ever used the metric system…the imperial system makes no sense! 16 ounces to 1 pound… not 10 ounces to 1 pound???? Very weird to me 😂. Also those stickers on the side of the cabinet are cool.
