In the space-colony simulation game Oxygen Not Included you’ll find that scarcities of oxygen, warmth and sustenance are constant threats to your colony's survival. Guide colonists through the perils of subterranean asteroid living and watch as their population grows until they're not simply surviving, but thriving...
Just make sure you don't forget to breathe.
Everything in your space colony is under your control, from excavation and resource allocation right down to plumbing and power systems. Resources will begin depleting with your first breath, however, so be sure to dig fast if you want to live.
Keep the psychological impact of survival at bay with fun leisure activities, great accommodations and even better food for your colony. Duplicants each have different and potentially destructive ways of reacting to stress, so be sure to always keep them happy. Whatever the cost.
Temperature control is a constant concern in space; too cold and you'll freeze, too hot and you'll fry. Keep tabs on ambient environmental temperatures and your colony's heat production to maintain a nice, cozy atmosphere for your colonists.
Create interlocking pipe systems to swiftly deliver fuel and liquid to critical areas of your base. Plan well and be rewarded as your colony transforms into an imperishable, well-oiled machine.
Choose from a multitude of power sources including coal, hydrogen, natural gas or just plain old elbow grease. Manage power runoff, circuit overloads and meltdowns to keep your colony running smoothly.
Enter the Oxygen Overlay and watch air moving through your base in real time. Monitor carbon dioxide accumulation and oversee oxygen generation processes to mold your colony into a veritable deep-space oasis.
Waste Nothing through Extreme Recycling
Make use of every last resource for a base that truly exemplifies efficiency. Recycle waste into precious fuel, process unbreathable gas into air or harness the natural bodily processes of wild creatures for food. If you’re clever, you might even be able to run a base off colonist farts.
Summon new worlds with a push of a button. Experience tons of untamed space rocks, then suffocate to death in them!

Howdy Foxy, RIP Jean... From the footage you showed it looked like Jean was deconstructing the ladder sections that you had set up as a bridge over your water tank so you could put your water pump in and fell in. its sadly not uncommon for dupe AI to wall themselves off then delete the tile they are standing on... on the bright side the ladder to the bottom of your tank is done, so no other dupes should suffer the same fate. on your skimmer/sieve assembly use a liquid bridge instead of regular pipes to connect your skimmer to the water line. they are directional (white/green arrows) so they work like a 1-way valve not allowing fluids to pass backwards through them. additionally they have a function where they will limit the amount of water in the pipe they are connected to, so whatever system they are attached to wont over fill. it will save you from having to keep deleting and rebuilding that section of pipe by your ladder. you will probably want to put a door in by your polluted water tank as well as some deodorizers in order to keep the excess polluted oxygen that off-gasses out of the rest of your base. Additionally you have asked a couple times about the CO2 being a "black square" on one of the overlays, and its under the "mineral" overlay, under the "Gasses" section. with as large as your base is getting I wouldn't have fewer than 2 pips of "Downtime" prior to bed on any of your schedules. if your dupes don't make it back in time they will skip their meal before bed and starve. on the topic of schedules, if you make a 3rd schedule and move all the dupes in default (schedule 1) down, then when you recruit a new dupe you wont have an overcrowded schedule. very frequently people forget to schedule their new dupes in mid/late game and end up with 10 in schedule 1 and a ton of debuffs for sleeping on the floor etc. Lastly, most of the heat in your base is going to come from power generation, ranching and industrial equipment. In game heat doesn't rise away from the equipment, it more "mixes" or "radiates" so the areas nearest the equipment will always be the warmest. you will likely need to expand your power infrastructure soon to start making some of the more complex materials, so plan your ranches near wherever your industrial equipment is going. on the flip side put your mealwood boxes as far away as possible, as they can hardly handle anything above 30c. since your skimmer is at the bottom anyway, most people put their industrial stuff down, and their farms up. I actually think my posts are getting longer.... plz send help...

Ah, thanks for the tip about keeping the polluted oxygen out of the rest of the base! Hopefully it's not so much yet that I've caused a problem. I will make sure to add another slot of downtime in order to not be a horrible dictator lol. I suppose it will give a morale boost anyway which I'm finding to be an issue when wanting to skill up dupes.

Was the 11:24 "Rip Jean" a sorta pun? Just made me think of ripped jeans lmao

Lol no actually, completely unintentional but nice catch. I worked with a guy named Jean for a couple years and there were always jokes like that being made. I'm sure he NEVER got tired of them. :P
