Hi, we enjoyed Azura back in 2014 and had a great time. Definitely a party ship when we were on board. We love the celebration nights - a very special evening to remember. Cheers both.
Hi, not really, the introduction of the app clearly a bonus. We had set dining so saw the same folk every evening which was nice in many ways. We too had to wait for a full table, but usually only a few minutes because we were expected to be at our sitting. Azura still looks smart but perhaps a few knocks and dents on the doors I noticed. @@TomandDomTravel 🙏
I love the Azura. Always a relaxing time on there. Malabar is unusual with the tropical theming. I used it for a pre dinner drink as it was fairly close to the Peninsular restaurant 😊
Travelled on cunard loads, seen the azura many times, and she looks better from inside. Cunard has vastly better dining operation, no waiting. But I think cunard going toward p&o celebrity on new queen Anne
Neil Turnball was the captain on our first cruise in 2018 on Aurora. Absolutely fabulous captain, a good laugh and you could tell he loved his job. He was walking through the Lido chatting to people on day two of the cruise and came to talk to us and after finding out it was our first cruise and us being some of the youngest passengers on board he made a point of coming to chat to us and see how we were finding it every time he saw us anywhere around the ship. Clearly had a great time as now done 3 cruises and got another three booked!)
@@TomandDomTravel We did Aurora first and loved her. We then did Arcadia which wasn't for us (lovely theatre, pools and glass lifts but weird layout - felt very dark in places and no real atrium. Other guests were also an issue - very rude and entitled). We then did Iona last year and loved her, found that post pandemic there's been a few cutbacks of non-essentials but still the experience we love. Now on Arvia in a couple of weeks and also in April and booked on two weeks back to back on Britannia in 2025
I may get in trouble for asking this 🙊but what is Tom doing with his hair? Your can watch throughout the videos and his hair always looks like he has recently (once at day at minimum) gone to a barber/stylist. He always looks 'photo-ready' regardless of the weather, venue, or time of day. 🙏🙏 Back to regular programming: @6:28 What are 'Chunky Chips'? I'm watching these cruise lines closely as it seems they are making changes small and large to economize. I am not surprised the mixed drinks are being tweaked as this appears to be a high profit area. Thanks as always for the content.
Funny you should mention my hair I’m off to the barbers.🤣 Chunky chips are thick cut fries. It’s true there are lots of small changes but also lots of people new to cruise who the lines believe that the changes won’t matter to. Thanks for your watching and your support 😊
Hi guys, loving the vlogs. My family and I are going on azura in August, do you know if you can use the virtual queue for multiple staterooms to sit together?
You can’t request to sit together in the virtual queue specifically but you can request a shared table. You can also link your booking before you travel by contacting P&O
did you ever try to get back to the Bow through deck 8? apparently they close it off on particularly windy days.... it may also be closed whilst in port?
Hi thanks for your comment! It’s free to use the app. Just connect to the WiFi onboard, login with your cabin details and you’ll be able to use the virtual queue as well as check your onboard account etc for free, you just won’t be able to use the internet for browsing and email without purchasing a WiFi package 😀
Hi thanks for your question. It is cheaper than if you were to buy the package on the first day as you would only pay for 6 days instead of 7. However, the price you pay onboard is more expensive than if you purchase before your cruise online but you have to have the package for the full 7 days.
Were the breakfast portions really as miserable as shown? 4 tiny bits of fruit for a “fruit salad”? And a pathetic “full English” with half the plate empty? 😳😳
