Day 4 of our P&O Azura Canaries cruise was our second and last sea day as well as Formal Night. We spent much of the day enjoying the sun deck as well as the entertainment on deck. Getting a sun lounger was not difficult but finding somewhere to place them proved challenging. Afternoon Tea in the main dining was an impressive experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. We got to experience Marco Pierre White's menu for our second formal night and we had some unexpected surprises. During the evening we moved around many of the bars and venues onboard as we did not want to miss a thing.

P&O Azura was launched in April 2010 and is a part of the "Grand-class" of ships in P&O Cruises' fleet. It has a passenger capacity of around 3,100 guests, and it offers a variety of cabin types, including inside cabins, outside cabins, balconies, and suites. The ship's design emphasises a relaxed and modern cruising experience, catering to a range of travellers, from families to couples.
We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.
We have created a list of our cruise essentials. These are items we take with us when we travel and we hope they may be useful to you. We have also added a Wine list which contains some of the wines we have tried whilst cruising.

@8:17 - Should we guess who claimed the chocolate brownie? 😉😉 'During the evening we moved around many of the bars and venues onboard as we did not want to miss a thing' It's a go go go world for you two. 🥳🎉 I guess I am showing my age, but I would need a serious mid-day nap to maintain that sort of sunrise-full moon schedule and do an early morning breakfast the following day.

Great video guys! Glad you enjoyed the yummy Afternoon Tea on-board! Isn't it strange that Arvia and Iona don't have the free option of Afternoon Tea in the MDRs? I wanted to ask you did you notice if Azura are still doing the Passenger Choirs, as I found out that Arvia had stopped doing them? Thanks. Happy Cruising

Thank you for watching! Afternoon tea in the buffet on Arvia just isn’t the same. We didn’t see a choir on our cruise on Azura which is a shame as the Princess cruise we recently came off the choir was very popular

HI Tom and Dom, just seen your vlogs, going on Azura in Novem/Dec....only been with MSC(Virtuosa/Euribia) and RC Enchantment OTS. I wonder what the the daily activties are like? We preffered RC activities and the old charm of the ship, MSC was new and impressive, but felt not as personal as RC. Thanks :)

Thanks for watching and asking the question. We think the daily activities sit somewhere in between the two. Think quizzes, tournaments and Poolside activities. They also offer dance classes if you are a keen dancer. In the evening they have live music and theatre shows. Hope that helps

Thanks for the fab videos of your trip on Azura, we are due to travel in 3 weeks time and are really looking forward to it. I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind answering, did you find the drinks package worth the money? I’m a drinker but my wife will probably only have a couple of glasses of wine a day. Did you have the Wi-Fi package? And how good is it? Thanks in advance

Thank you for watching. The drinks package will probably not be worth having if you don’t both drink a reasonable amount particularly if it isn’t spirits. The WiFi wasn’t great during our sailing so wasn’t worth it although P&O are in the process of upgrading to star link so may have improved.

Thanks for watching 😊 P&O have had some criticism because of their evening main dining room menu. You’ll find that the steak and chicken are the same every night with a few changes to the other items. The breakfast menu is identical everyday.

Hi guys, when I was last on Azura the afternoon tea was nowhere near as good as yours looked things have improved. I have watched quite a few vlogs on afternoon tea on various ships and none seem to serve clotted cream maybe they have a problem making it or getting supply.

May I ask which drinks package you went for and the cost please ?. I booked the Azura today, but unsure about the drinks packages as I'm a first time cruiser. Thanks in advance.

Yes of course. 😀 We had the classic drinks package and we purchased it onboard during the second day of our cruise. It was around £40pp pd then. If you book onboard now it’s £45 pp pd and it’s cheaper to purchase before boarding as you get a discount. P&O drinks are very reasonable and you go pay as you go. It all depends on how much you think you will drink. Also consider how much time you will spend off the ship.
