I wish we had leaders who would work this hard to rebuild our nation. Thank God Americans still come together when disaster occurs. Great work all of you.

Having lived through Katrina in New Orleans, I can tell you Daniel - Sulphur will return stronger than ever. Y'all are so resilient, family oriented, neighbors helping neighbors, COMMUNITY driven... O K L A H O M A !!!!

I understand “it never being the same.” When I was a young “rookie” flight nurse I faced a natural disaster (a flash flood) that took over 300 lives. I was changed forever. Mother nature changes far more than horizon, she changes lives. Been praying for y’all and I’ll continue to pray. Have a blessed day!

It is hard to believe but your town WILL bounce back. Yes, it will be different but the people will be the same and the community will be closer than before. It is heartwrenching to see the town you love in shambles, but there are people helping people they've never met before and will have a special bond going forward. I had never heard of Sulphur until a week ago, but I know how much I grieve the loss of historic Lahaina, so I understand the emotions. It will never be the same, but you have your people and you are already building something new and creating new memories. God bless and protect you in your efforts.

In a world filled with too much evil, it is so inspiring to see so many people working together while doing God's work. Because your town will never look the same, perhaps it will be a good idea to gather photos and videos of the town, as it used to be, to create a Sulfur, OK, "museum" to either have on RU-vid, in a book, or in a building in town. I thought of it in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep, and was praying for you all. BTW, my nickname in high school was DJ, for Donna Jeanne.....I graduated in 1972 I miss being called that. The people who used to call me DJ are no longer in my life. Keep taking great care of yourselves, especially your mental health, or you won't be able to help those around you to the extent that the Lord needs you too. God bless you all. Forty years ago I went through a hurricane. Those who were able jumped in and did for those who could not. All acts of service will bring you good karma. Count your blessings to only lose fences and have a flooded creek. Those who have to deal with insurance and FEMA have a long road ahead. Those you helped will never forget.

So sorry for all the people there. Sulphur will emerge stronger out of the rubble. All due to its citizens. ❤

it's so good to see a community come together and help folks recover from a disaster. When I was growing up we lived near Sulphur and me, sisters and brothers would hike along a creek catching crawdads. I often wonder if it was your creek. Sometimes it just looks so familiar, it's almost as if I feel De Ja Vu at times when I'm watching yall fish.

I’ve watched several vids from you guys who know one another. I cannot recall if I have commented here before. But please chain saw operators wear protective helmets. I have commented on a couple of you guys’ vids about this. Many many years ago my dad was using a large chain saw which bucked on him. He pulled it back down and kept sawing. He wiped sweat from his brow but it was blood. It missed his eye by a mere fraction. Many stitches later which included a ride from a rural suburb … he was okay. But when I saw the man using a chain saw with no helmet out from your perch in the excavator - the memories jolted back. The other guys I had seen had helmets and I was so proud of them for that! I had forgotten how challenging it is to see someone using a chainsaw with no helmet. Anyway - looks like you all are making great progress in Sulphur. What a blessing to everyone there, yourselves and those of us who watch. It’s difficult to see the destruction and the loss of the woman who died in the tornado. It’s amazing more people were not injured or killed. I sure wish I could recall whatever you said which made me laugh. I think you were nearing the bridge but??? Those meal providers and the local Baptist church - wow. Good job y’all! All of you volunteers. I’m wondering what’s gone on in the new batch of tornados last night. How close they were to you all, etc. what a huge tornado that hit the two cities. Right now I can’t quite remember their names or spelling. Bardall and Bartles____. I wish I could help more. I know it's such a small part but I'm one of the drivers that got the honor of pulling one of the minute man semi trailers to Sulphur. I hope and pray that the town of Sulfur Oklahoma will bounce back from this.

Daniel, on May 6th I saw where Sulphur had another Severe Thunderstorm and a tornado watch. I so pray this will never happen again. I love the way Gods people come together and help clean up, feed, cloth, and protect each other!! This is what makes the Lord happy… I’m praying for all of you helping and all those suffering. Ya know it’s so good for the children to be helping feed people. Blessings….

You might not know where I live. Estevan,Saskatchewan. It is about 7 miles north of the us border. But we now know where Sulfur, Oklahoma is. Your devastation from the Tornado was on our national news. We are all praying for your community.

It makes me cry to see so much devastation that has occurred across the country during this tornado season and so proud how we STAND together when tragedy strikes. We had a F3 in our small city of 30k about 12 yrs ago, it destroyed our high school, killing 8. The school was rebuilt, neighborhoods rebuilt, but the pain of loss will stay. My blessings and love goes out to all the volunteers and the people that are helping Sulfur recovery from this awful event. ❤❤❤

A few years ago after a hurricane I went with a group of men from my church to south Louisiana to help with the cleanup and rebuild. We were sent out to help people that needed roof repair and we had one guy actually meet us at the door with a gun in his hand. Seeing all the distrucsion leaves a mark on your heart.

There are a lot of people in your position that wouldn't lift a finger to help someone else. I've watched you for years, because you are a down to earth person that would give the shirt off your back to help someone you don't even know. Don't ever change no matter how much you have. Keep The Faith!

Every piece of debris moved, every meal handed out, every cash card, makes someone smile, even if just a little while. And helps relieve some of their stress. Being in the military as long as I was, I've done some disaster assistance. Hurricanes, tornadoes, and one earthquake. People appreciate all the help they can get in those situations. Daniel, I just love your relationship with Dusty. Brotherly love. Job well done, I can’t imagine what you are going through, one thing you can never lose is community love respect support everyone coming together just beautiful. My career was a commercial/personal property road rep. So I have been worked in a variety of natural disasters on the insurance side. I didn’t really see the community coming together for one that I will never forget. We teamed up and after 12hrs of travelling together we divided the last few houses (evacuated houses) I was tired hungry rushing slipped in the aftermath of flooding knocked myself out for 3-4hrs causing a scare. Please be stay safe always have a Buddy system. That’s the lesson I learnt.

Living in the UK we don’t have this type of devastation from weather as you do. We can only send our heartfelt support.

I feel you on May 7 at 5:15 pm we had a tornado touchdown in a small town just about 30 minutes from me

Too bad that the Town of Sulphur can't make use of all those trees that are being cut down. Let the wood dry and sell it for fire wood to help the residents. Your town looks like St. Peter Minnesota after the early spring F-5 tornado in 1998. Now you would never know that it happened. Even the trees have grown back. Sulfur will recover and look as nice as it did before. Gods speed to you all.
