We sponsored two children from the same location, same church in Kenya! I didn't use the link though, just went straight to the website but it was inspired by your first sponsorship video! It would be amazing to see the children we sponsored if you visit!! (and hear how to pronounce their names! Njoroge and Nashel!)

My husband was born and raised and lived Brasil until he was 28 year old. We talk all of the time about things that feel weird to him now raising two kids in the US. I had to convince him that more than one Christmas gift for each of our daughters was not "ridiculous" (we eventually agreed four gifts each was ok). That being said, his influence on our family helps us be more mindful and grateful everyday.

Having been locked down in tough restrictions and not being able to leave a 5km radius over the last 4-6 months in Melbourne, Australia, I am very grateful to have had online church zoom sessions. I watched our small church convert to weekly Sunday and Wednesday sessions like they’d almost always done it. I played the piano and my husband filmed me and placed words on the screen for everyone to sing at home and praise God in their living rooms. The last two weeks we have been allowed to meet in the physical building again and while it is lovely I will miss snuggling up on the couch with a blanket with my kids as we watched the service. This has been a difficult year but I have been blessed to be locked in with my family ❤️. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”

Just last week I was telling my son about how excited I was when, in high school, we went from a typewriter to a word processor. Then, in college, computers came with the floppy disk and they were just a word processor with a bigger screen and a better way to save your term papers. I was telling him about how you had to have all these books and dictionaries with you at the computer so that you can cite your papers but if you forgot to save your paper as you typed, you could lose the whole paper. He was so amazed. And happy that the ‘hard’ times are over. Lol

My grandkids use me as their Google. I have an incredible gift of knowledge from a lifetime of voracious reading. I still love learning at 71. I think knowledge is one of the most important gifts we have. I have mentioned research and people asked how. I used the library before computers but books will always be an important tool with authors sharing their sources in bibliography. We need to use our minds and exercise them to maintain the gift God gave us.

Because I have had a brain injury, I was told to stay at home through Covid. I have not been to a grocery store since late February! But the positive is I live in a forest and the change in trees, types of birds including eagles, falcons, hawks swoop near my windows. I love how much I catch through a window. And Covid brought me your family, a chateau family in France, a Moroccan pen pal and a Russian couple showing they are coping in a suburb of Moscow. People are really so much the same. There's nothing to give him to make him "better", just let it run its course. We keep track of his temp and oxygen levels and they have been good, so far, praise the Lord! Being cut off from everyone and everything definitely tests your mental health. He works for the military, ships fleet, and he is greatly missed by all. Three years ago my husband did something that I never thought he would do and many days I did not see a way to stay in it. Through much prayer, can I say through much prayer our marriage is together again. Please don't dismiss your marriage yet. I am very sorry about your business going away. My spouse and I are very different. I completely have empathy and understand. I have been in a marriage with divorce with children already. Divorces are so difficult especially with children. Do not give up. If you do prayer requests with churches for your marriage, that helps as well. I am sorry if I have said too much. I hated my husband and loathed him for a long time. When I was in high school, late 70's early 89's I took a lit course and the only requirement was to read the book. One 5 question quiz a week, no reports, just a final which was being able to the instructor what the book was about, a brief synopsis. Either an A or F, pass/fail. There were kids who failed the course because they never read the book. That experience has stuck with me through my college years and while parenting my two kids. Read the book! My oldest is almost 21, so he caught the tail end of the era before we had internet as the norm... 16 year old daughter, and I, were just talking about this last night - she doesn't remember ever not having internet access, PlayStation, etc... So crazy lol! You both look amazing! Sarah, love your hair, and Solo the goatee is awesome :) Happy Holidays from our family here in OR, to you and all the Kiddo's! Blessings

As a young one in the mid 80s I had to go to the library and I graduated in 1991...my mother in law got a pc and dial up in 2000 and I'd go to her house and in we got our own that fall and I've been online on my own since and have met many many ppl all across the world...we formed an iowa chat room group called the huggers and yes we hugged everyone...been friends with many since about 2002...many have died, many of whom we loved n good friends to. Miss the good ole days.

We're LDS and we're still choosing to stay home and watch live streamed church. Husband is in healthcare and on the front lines with covid, so our little family caught it eventually. Watching streamed church has been such a blessing to be able to stay safe and keep others safe. We also see our covid experience as a HUGE blessing because it forced us to rest, reexamine our situation as a family(we recently learned I'm pregnant again), and fervently commune with God. We're currently living in Omaha and all of our family is in mesa,AZ where we both grew up. We've only been here in Nebraska for a year for my husband's job, but we felt this strong, indescribable push from God to move back home. We fought it for a few days because picking up and leaving is scary, but once we said, "okay, Lord. Just tell us what to do", all of the sudden everything lined up. We got the answer from God 3 weeks ago and we're moving this Saturday. HE knows where we need to be better than we do. Sorry for the novel. Just feeling extremely overwhelmed with gratitude for God's love and protection lately. Love you all❤

Solo, I appreciate your sharing about your struggles regarding education. This really touched me.To bring forth the fact that EDUCATION was SO NEEDED, A BLESSING AND TO SOME, A LUXURY.... as an educator, this tear's at my heartstrings. I've always felt grateful but of course because of covid-19 and all of the struggles worldwide, I feel it so much more now... the sense of gratitude and feeling blessed. I just think that the times have turned on a button of sensitivity. I'm glad to be able to say that I was the proud recipient of a New York City education. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm proud of you guys for stepping up and speaking your truth. Because truly sharing is caring.

My husband gets to work from home now and it saves him 2 1/2 hours a day on the road. And this may become a permanent thing with his company. There realizing it’s possible. Love that he doesn’t have the traffic stress.

I love your online church! The biggest difference I can’t see my family. I live 600 miles away from them. And this is the hardest part for me. My son and I go down and stay for a few weeks in the summer and then My husband and son and I go around Christmas or Thanksgiving. It wouldn’t be safe for my Mama. So we can’t go now. Hey Seth..so cute after Solo moved him to his lap. Seth looks at Sarah as if to say what happened there? So sweet!

I have panic attacks now. My chest gets really tight and it feels like I’m having a heart attack. This is a very stressful time. Politics, money, masks, media. I had to get on anxiety meds thanks to Covid-19 🥲 But I found this channel and some cute kids!!!

I love your videos. I don't get to have those pandemonium noise levels, chaotic family meal preps and table antics & conversations any more. I miss that more than I can say. But, I get to enjoy those things through your family & videos. You are a blessing to a lot of us who no longer have those family connections & memory makers - some of which started long before Covid. So please, keep them coming whenever you can... never apologize for interruptions, a crying or upset child, etc. Some of us (at least I do) go back & replay your videos - just for that. Your kids are like noisy, sweet angels that make every day better in my world. 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇 You are good for my heart. Silence, solitude & lack of family are highly overrated. God bless all of you & know you make a difference every single day. 🙏❤😇❤🙏

How Covid changed our lives: the church we were going to closed forever and the pastor retired. It's not an easy time to visit new churches, so my husband and I have been doing online services on Sunday morning and Wednesday nights. We have loved your services, also a church in Oklahoma.

I used to question how hard I was on my girls. Was I doing the right thing??? I told them your sister doesn’t have the same ability to learn , don’t waste your ability! Don’t be lazy!! Now my 19 yr old is in her 2nd yr of pre-med track with honors and my 16 yr old is a JR taking nursing in HS. My 23 yr special needs daughter is almost coloring completely in the lines!! And I am so proud of ALL 3 working hard to the best of their ability!!! ❤️

My life changed by covid-19 causing my business to shut down and having to move states to find employment.... God is gracious and I am in a church that is able to meet in person (but with care) and a new place to live, new job, meeting new people through my work .... Walking in a deeper faith with my Lord!!!!

I feel very blessed that I live in a country where we are still living normal and nothing really has changed! We don’t need to wear masks or social distance, only thing we can’t do is travel internationally! Here in New Zealand we went into to a lockdown for one month where we couldn’t leave home unless it was to the grocery store, this was back in March , now in December we are back to normal living, feel very blessed and thankful :)

Thank you all for highlighting compassion international! My parents are from Haiti and they've always taken care of their family back home, and they've always stressed the importance of education, but I never thought to take it upon myself to support a child. I'm now looking into supporting a little girl in Haiti for her education and future. I just became a mother myself and Even though Covid hit us hard I do have the means to support someone so I want to do that!
