guys i have some advise. dont cement the whole pathway coz its gonna make your surroundings hot during hot weather as it will radiate all the absorb heat from the sun in the surrouding air in your backyard. Rather make some portion cemented especially the portion that cars are passing through but the rest is a combination of gravels and grass. This way it wont coz the area muddy or flooding as it only absorbs water especially the grass areas. Grass also will dissipate the heat as well as the gravel and and it also makes surrounding air cool. hope you read this. Also one advise, if ever you plan to put plant box in your roof deck, dont do it as it will damage the watee proofing. if you really wanted to put plants in roof deck in the future, better put in big pot as it contains the soil and the roots. anyways congrats to your new house.😊
I agree with this. Perhaps pavers can be an alternative. The thing about many pinoys is that they go cement-crazy (maybe thinking that cement everything signifies a level up in social status), unmindful or maybe ignorant of the effect of raising the heat level esp during the dry months. Even dogs should not be allowed out on cement pavements during summer. Also agree with huge individual pots instead of a plant box. All in all… finishing and interiors can be really expensive but it is fulfilling once you are done.
@@MathewDrake-su6fl you are right. My house in the Philippines is all made of concrete. Big mistake I did. It's very hot all the time. I found out that a house made of wood and nipa hut is much better to live in than a house made of stone. Lots of air conditioning needed to cool down a concrete house. To each his own house design.
It's always raining now, either in the late afternoon or evening. They say July is the start of flu season because of the weather changes, humid hot in the morning/afternoon then starts to get cold in the late afternoon/evening especially when it rains. I guess it's hard for the body to adapt esp when you're not used to it. Sherlyn when she teased you, " I'm immune, the advantage of living in the squatter area", is such a sweetheart. She's so real, no plastic/pretense, just love her. Maybe it'll help if you have flu vaccine, it's yearly and will lessen the symptoms. Glad to see you're ok now. See you guys on the next one, the pool video, was intrigued. Thanks for sharing and keep safe always.
If you guys planted a marcot tree from the nursery it will grow fast and will bear fruit in a year. But if you plated from a seed, it will bear fruit in 5 years. That's a long time to wait. Nice to watch your vlogs Finn and Shirlyn. Love you guys. Take care always.❤❤❤
Salamat po kuya Bryan, ang sipag mo talaga, at mabait, napaka swerte naman ni Finn and Sherlyn, “GOD”bless you po kuya Bryan, Finn and Sherlyn you are lucky to have Bryan
Icelandic people love milk, I don't missed to buy kókó mjólk in our groceries weekly. Even at work have free milk to drink. It's normal to them drink milk, here in Iceland. Because alots of sheep, and cow. And cow eat healthy grass whole year.
Guys I really listen how you talk about your plant and other stuff around your house but please can you wear some microphone so that we can hear you clearly specially when your out and about around your soon to be fruit paradise. Thank you and keep it coming can't wait to see all the trees to grow. Happy planting
😱$600 for monthly expenses?! Incredibly jealous! That amount does not even cover a mortgage for a small house (and no swimming pool) here in Seattle, WA. However, on balance it is all relative. I am still jealous tho. You and Sherlyn are living la dolce vita! A big congrats to you both!
@@viclarock5321 Dallas is even tough. Every time I pull my wallet out it’s 49 dollars or 78 dollars. Home Depot over to target 🎯 even the convenience store is 10 bucks for a couple things. Breakfast was 18 dollars. Thank god! I can even maintain
*You could cement your pathway piece by piece to avoid heat radiation during summer. You could also put stones or shells on the cement for for traction and decoration.*
Hi both, Hope you are both well. Our monthly expenditure is approx (2 people) Mortgage/rent - 0 PHP as we built our own home. Food - 10K PHP Water bill - 200 PHP No elec as we have solar ( 3 A/C units, big ref, 3 TV's, electric hob, electric oven, microwave, water cooler, washing machine, kettle etc..) Fuel for car 1000 PHP Water bottles to drink 300 PHP Dining out once per month 2K Entertaining family/friends at home 3K Dog food (we have 3 Shih Tzu's) - 1.5K Wifi - 1.5K Approx 20K PHP (approx £250 pound sterling at todays rate) Our electricity would be at least 10/12K per month if we did not have solar 😮 Like you guys, we are finishing our new home, so we are being conservative on our monthly expenditure.
Just a suggestion you may already thought about but I would invest in solar street lights for outside your property at certain locations. I have one I put up at a height of twenty feet
I still have sardines on toast for lunch, so yummy. We have a deep well and the water, I had it tested, complies to International standards and is good for cooking, drinking, washing etc. It's filtered down from Mount Apo. You are right about dog and cat food, so expensive. My wife only wants the best for our 2 cats and pound for pound it costs more to feed them than a person. The dogs will eat anything. Keep the geckos, they eat all the bugs and mosquitos.
I’m excited to see your family Finn when they come to visit and see your beautiful house .. it’s inspiring to build my summer house in Argao somehow and the view is spectacular as well overlooking the ocean and nature in our back..we will see..
I maintain a public pool. Once you add the chlorine and turn on the filter, then it will clear up. Vacuuming the bottom of the pool with a pool vacuum helps. Keep your PH between 7.4 and 7.6. Below 7.2 is acidic and will erode your tile grout. Above 7.6 and you will get mineral deposits in your pump etc.
Good day Lovely Couple. Busy days sir after your few days not well... Keep safe u both. Thanks for the updates. Hello Jake & Thor & to all ur kittens. ✌💖😘🐕😘🐕🐈
with those young perennial plants and trees, prune the buds/fruit as soon as they start showing. you won't get fruits for a while but, it will make the plants a lot stronger going forward. Do that for at least the first year of their lives. Some plants/trees it's better to do for multiple years.
Good morning finn and shierlyn yong Nakita nyo sa loob ng Bahay nyo ay toko yon wag nyong sadaktan malaking tolong Yan sa inyo, dahi inakain nya Ang mga insikto sa loob ng Bahay tulad ng ipis langaw at kung ano ano pa god luck God Bless this family
When we were kids in the Philippines, we play in the rain because it’s fun and warm. In Europe or America it would be cold rain just plain uncomfortable.
I've been your follower Finn and Sherlyn, been wondering when will the time you and Sherlyn decided to be areal couple, built a house turn into a home with some little Finn and Sherlyn roaming around the place, and look at you now....can't say anything probably is to see you exchanging your vows....thanks for updating us...God bless.
WOW from A to Z everything is amazing 🎉❤so love this couple I been a follower since years ago . You guys tockbuilding your dreams out of love ❤what you love
Hey Finn, have you heard of the natural pool? Check it out. And for the drinking/house water, check out alkaline system. That’s the best and healthiest water.
Finn as you I have to have my fresh milk. I used to by that crap in the supermarked but then I realized they are doing something with the milk to make it last up to a year. Then my wife starting ordering milk from UPLB and I am hooked. We by milk for 1000php a week now. Like milk in Iceland it only last a week. It's proper milk. You should try to sourse out local milk in your area. I do envy you for the fish it's realy hard to find fresh fish here in Manila that is meaty and tasty.
You need to install a water softener in your house to help break down an filter out those hard minerals. I installed one with 5 filters here for our house in Manila and it works wonders. No more red water and hard water are minimized to a livable level . I also installed a full washing machine and dryer and both doing well. That pool will eat you up in cash. It’s a cash drain.
I tried living in Dumaguete for a month ugh it was expensive than Metro Manila 😂 Anyway I'm going back to Pamplona Negros soon. I'm learning a lot from you Sher and Finn.
Ahahah Yung Ako ang nagulat sa pag galaw Ng Tuko ahahaha 😂 If I'm going back home in SiPalay I will try my best to visit Duin and Dumaguete how I wish I randomly meet you there and hopefully there's a little fin and Shirley na..
We were using 0.75 HP non inverter aircon and our electric bill is about 7000 to 7200 monthly. Then we replaced it with a 1 HP inverter aircon and now were paying around 4800 a month. That's big savings.
I hope you guys choose the good quality of your bathroom sink that lasts for a long time not based on look and affordability but also a good quality..maybe that bathroom sink gives you an example that can break easily try to choose a little bit pricey but the quality will guarantee you will last longer and give convenience to your daily living...the quality that deserve your money ...always be look for the best guys!
I wish you both tell death do us part❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ may GOD PROTECTS YOUR RELATIONSHIP! THAT YOU MAY OVERCOME ANY COMPLICATED SITUATION.PUT GOD IN BETWEEN THEM F YOUR RELATIONSHIP ❤❤❤❤❤
❤Hi guys 😘 I miss the Milk , Bread, meat if you ordered and most of the small markets that had the good stuff . Today Walmart , C Town where you get lost for hours before you find the Mayo 😂😅. The old ways are still alive where you are 👍♥️🌍🤍🌎💙🌏❤️🔥🙌🕊️
4:55 in my province we call it "toko". i remember my father used to pet 10 toko's and 1 of them escaped, my father tried to catch it but ended up badly like he got bitten and broke his nail
i told ya.. .i hope you can ask mikey bustos for the company which they commissioned to help them with their pool.. it is so clean and its water is safe to drink for the animals to drink and for human also.. cleaning your pool with chlorine is not safe.. it could cause you allergies and cojld poizon or harmful for your pets and birds which could bisit ur pool to drink.oncd in a whole
Can you use the rain water for the pool to reduce the mineral content? I assume the minerals come from the water flowing through the rocks. Also I envy and admire your energy efficiency, cost reductions. The solar was so worth it!
I remember the toko is known to Chinese they buy it very expressive and make a medicine for cancer i remember more Filipinos hunting toko that time and sale to chinese....
Is it skimmer not controlled separately from the floor drain? I’ve had four different pools (in the US) and the skimmer was always on a different valve.
Get in touch with Mikey Bustos he installed something in the pool to make the water fresh. He has a company doing that for him and his not using chlorine i think.
