Shelby 's vidéo was the one that moved me most. I remember his scars, I remember him wanting so much to trust you... And setting boundries at the same time. I kept thinking about this poor dog. I am so grateful for your update. Such great news. Thank you so much for being an angel Lee ❤️🙏😇
Do you think one day you could explain the whole sleeping arrangement at night with all the dogs?? Are there certain dogs that expect to sleep on your bed every night? Are there certain dogs that have to sleep next to the same dog every night? Do the dogs all go down at the same time?
This! I have been wondering the same thing because I have 7 “foster fails” in my pack, whom I call “the midget mafia” because they somehow all ended up being small breeds… (I never knew I could even be a small dog person) but anyway the ONLY time we have attitude problems is when they are all jockeying for the prime sleeping spots next to me….
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I like the name Shelby better than Sharkie for this dog. I’m so glad that he’s part of the pact. He’s such a beautiful furbaby.
I am enthralled by these Pack Walk Talks! He should combine them into a book, I'd buy it in a heart beat! So much insight and empathy and even wisdom - the ultimate dog whisperer. (And that's coming from a cat person who has never owned a dog in her life! 😉) ❤️
Thank you Lee for the update on Shelby. That's wonderful he has taken to you and loves you like he does. I Love watching you and the pack walking down to that beautiful creek on your property. They seem so happy and free as they walk into the water. Amazing! Wishing all of you a lovely day. 🧡
Thank you so much Lee! Your my favorite person in this whole world. Your understanding of all animals and love for your pack is such a gift to all of us that get a chance to see this beautiful experience with the Ashor house just grow. You are completely embraced in so much love inspiration and support. Someday when you travel to the other side you will have millions of dogs animals people there waiting to embrace you and love you to pieces! Many every great thing and blessing come true for you! Best to you Lisa
What can I say that hasn’t already been said. I just love you for the amazing life you have given these fur babies. You are an exceptional man full of love and compassion for those without a dad. Much respect! 💙
I had a female "Shelby"....she was an abused street dog. In her whole life which when she lived with me was filled with love, she only allowed 3 or 4 people to touch her. We could never surprise her coming from behind, we could not touch her below mid back and she would bite anyone - and did - who was not allowed to touch her. She was like this for 14 years...she hated other dogs, but my dogs all learned to avoid her. I was devastated when I lost her a couple of years ago. There was something about this badly abused street dog trusting me so profoundly when she trusted almost no one else was so rewarding. She was a beautiful dog...similar to a Shiba Inu...all golden with golden eyes. My best protector. Miss you to this day golden girl, Judy, with those amazing yellow eyes. Hope you have learned to like other dogs over the rainbow bridge!
I'm so happy you mentioned Pom Poms, I was worried about her, she is the sweetest little girl! All the dogs have their own personalities just like people. Shelby had a hard life just like most of your dogs and it took awhile for him to know that he is safe with dad. It's wonderful that you gave him a chance to be part of the pack and didn't let how he acted before to deter you from adopting him. 🥰🥰🥰
Wonderful Lee! To see Shelby at home in the pack and really comfortable with you is brilliant! To see your wonderful family at the creek which is their favourite spot is so awesome and I love to walk it with you all. God bless you Lee and your family of furbabies
My girl Gracie was almost feral when I rescued her. After a few weeks I told my wife, I'm not sure if we can keep her if she is baring down and growling every time we would enter the room. But she would hide behind me, sleep by head in the bed, and slowly she started coming out of her shell. Eventually she became the best big sister and would help me with other troubled rescue dogs. I used to joke, she was 80% crazy when we got her and she was maybe 10% crazy when she passed. We had over ten years together and she was my amazing Crazy Gracie. Thank you for believing in the dogs in need! You inspire me with every video I watch!
I had a pigeon like that. He loved me in the end. Keeping a dog that hates me bothers me as I've been kept by ppl id rather murder than live around a lot
@@erssiemajor8010 thank you for sharing your story! I just replied with something similar that dogs act in an aggressive manner because they are scared or trained to be that way. It’s so sad because no person or animal should live in fear & I hate that so many are put down unnecessarily. It absolutely breaks my heart but thanks to people such as yourselves give some a chance 🥰
TheDoggILama Aww, I’m sorry you lost her bug it’s so wonderful you persevered & didn’t give up. I think something a lot of us humans don’t realize, is that dogs act on a way that might be viewed as “vicious” or problematic because they are just scared. It takes time for them to learn to trust again & it’s so rewarding to hear stories like yours! Animals, especially dogs have so much love to give us!!!! Thank you for sharing!
I love your pack! When you said "this way" at 4:57am, Bently stayed behind to make sure the other dogs joined the rest and then she followed you... "you heard what Papa said."
Patience and love. Absolutely!! I adopted two senior chiweenie dogs with horrible pasts. For first few years they’d bite and growl at me but I never gave up. Now six years later…. They are my honey bunny babies. It took time to build up the trust and I’m so grateful everyday for them. Thank you for not giving up on Shelby!!
🤗👏👍. I used to work at a rescue kennel, one little soul came in,obviously had a tough time in the past. He was a corgi x jrt x Satan!!! It took time to gain his trust, but eventually, he got it. No one else wanted him, so once meeting my other 2,he came home. When I met my boyfriend, we had 7 dog's between us, lol. He died in his sleep, on my birthday with us on holiday. He knew love in his life for the first time.
So glad you gave him a chance and gave him love. It is hard when the past is so current for them but they do respond to love and trust. It takes time for sure but so so so worth it.
Hi Lee! I am a Roz- a delighted new subscriber! As I watch you provide salvation for one sweet soul after another, I am determined that my next puppy son will be adopted. I also lavish even more love and attention on our boy, Apollo, who has ever known a harsh moment in his entire life. Thank you for brightening all of our lives. All my best from SW Michigan.😎😎😎
Whenever you are feeling low, just remind yourself how blessed you are to have the Love from each and every one of those dogs. Just the way they look at you is heartwarming. ❤
Oh GOODNESS, dear Lee! 😭😭😭😭😭 You reminded me of one of my most heart-wrenching losses... My baby Max was living nearby in an abusive environment. The piece of land owners were merely exploiting the huge tribe. The doggies were not taken care of in any way, not even fed... I started feeding them. In the very beginning, all the other dogs were too anxious except for one girl (who trusted me and asked for rubbing her belly from the very first time we met) and Max who was too aggressive without attacking me, though. After months of patience and feeling unconditionally loved, my son Max started running in my direction when I showed up and doing zoomies! Then after eating, he used to approach me for hugs and kisses... One night, at 1:30 am, I heard such a striking noise that awakened me! I immediately went to check and found Max (a BIG boy and the alpha) motionless and looking at me. I instantly knew something was very wrong and carried his heavy body to the emergency clinic. It was only 30 min after the crash. He passed away two minutes after we arrived... I had a hysterical crying session and I am still processing my grief which is extremely difficult because of the cruelty of the monster who hit him and was only concerned about his car. I wanted to see him in extreme pain more times than I can even count...
((( Marie ))) Max knew who to come to, Mum. I can feel my chest tighten at the thought. 💔 You will embrace your sweet boy again. I wish I could give you a hug 💙
Absolutely love your longer videos!!!!! Love you and all you do!!! Never give up! Zena.. Xena … however you spell it…. Love how much energy she puts into her rocks… she is so determined!!! A Dogs life🐾
Man I think its cool that u take in all them dogs I'm a dog lover I have 4dogs and a three legged cat love them just like my kids. And thanks for taking in the older dogs they need love to thanks Scott from Oklahoma City
Your channel makes me smile and what a great way to go to bed and wake up. A fun share, Our names we were given have so much meaning. My middle name is Lee. It means Healer. So to Lee, the Healer, what an extraordinary way you provide so much healing to these animals and the community who watch these videos❤ You are unconsciously modelling to all of us to stop judging others, animals and people… if any one knows the power of frequency 💥 what a ripple of healing when we stop judging others around us and step into compassion and love ❤️ Thank you Healer Lee! Xx
You know, you reminded me of my favorite boss, Harry. He revealed his leadership style, and it's so simple. He walked a line. He said: "Be as hard as you have to be, and soft as you can be." He'd approve, Buddy! RIP Harry.
Lee, you are a incredible gentle loving spirit 🐕 I admire your authenticity 🐕 and have a blast listening to and seeing you with your loving family going on long hikes with their Dad 🐕❤️🐕❤️🐕❤️🐕❤️🐕❤️
My Dad rescued a Pit-Charpei mix when I was 12-13 yrs old from being fought. Both of his parents were fought & it was in his DNA. Well only us who lived in the house he was fine with but someone he didn't know NOPE! If we brought him inside & I had a friend over we'd have them sit on the couch & let Louie sniff em out & he was always fine. But if we weren't with him we didn't trust him to not bite someone. He did turn out to be a really great 🐕. I played tug of war with him having the rope in my mouth which freaked my Dad out to no end but Louie was always gentle with me. He passed away when I was 27 years old at 15 1/2. I totally get why people say a dog doesn't know how to be a dog especially when they come from puppy mills & have only been in cages all their lives!
I lost my girl 6 months ago, August 28th. She was my world! My EVERYTHING! My business n mission statement was based on her. We were inseparable. I have never been so in sync with anything in my life! Lymphoma stole my Ellie Bellies from me, right in front of my eyes, slowly a little at a time until she told me it was time for her. I know she is still with me.
This man is one of the sweetest humans on the planet. His karma is set on this earth as well as in the next life after he dies and his karma is filled with blessings which is my belief. The love that he shares with each and every animal in his sanctuary is freely given with an open heart, again my belief. Daily, I pray for him and the animals in his sanctuary.
I love Shelby! Well, just like people are, animals have different personalities and temperments. Shelby' s life on the streets was survival just living to protect himself....but as I have said all along: LOVE TRANSFORMS...PEOPLE..ANIMALS... He Now he feels safe, secure and loved...Lee..again. You rock.
Thank you God for these wonderful organizations and good people like Asher who TRULY help and care for our innocent animals and children and our planet. Please bless them always with good health and good lives and bless them with all they need to continue saving lives. In Jesus name Amen 🙏
Im so proud to see anyone who loves dogs as much as I do. At your age, I'm sure there's a lot you could be doing. I would love to do what you're doing. But am 67 y/o, bad arthritis in all joints so I don't get around good. Thank you Lee for all the hard work you and your crew does for all those precious babies. If you lived closer and I could afford it I would love to meet you, the workers and the fur family. Keep up your good work I commend you.
Me and my mom love you we have 3 dogs and my mom wants to start a shelter for dogs! So that’s why me and your mom watch you since you have so many dogs !! ❤️❤️
Oh my gosh i love seeing you walk with all the munchkins....i have 21 acres of land up in TN that aren't used yet bcus we live down in FL. And your walks remind me of the land and when i watch your videos I could picture myself doing the same thing....walking by the creek with a pack of doggies... gives me butterflies how much they seem to love n trust you
I adopted from Family Dogs way back in ‘07. This was a dog who also didn’t know how to be a dog. She didn’t know she could lay down next to me so she would just stand on the couch as close as she could, even though she kept drifting off and jerking herself awake. Once she learned she could lay down she would growl and snap if I moved and it jostled her. It was a slow process but she grew into the best dog who loved everyone! I was so grateful to be a part of that transformation.
I was wondering about Shelby and I love watching how much he loves you. Lately I've been trying harder with my dog Jack and he's letting me get closer. Thanks for the inspiration Lee. I was having an extremely hard time to connect to him but it's been a year and I had almost given up but I remembered you keep saying,"Don't give up." so now I keep working at it. I know it's all on his terms and I know he doesn't trust humans because a human hasn't given him a reason but thanks for the inspiration to keep trying to get him to see that I'm his mom and he can trust me. Hugs to Shelby and the rest of the pack. Thanks again!
Hi I've just found you. Thank you so much for all you do for our beautiful animals. I'm 61 and have my first dog 🐕 I've always had rescue cats but am lonely. My little dog is so delightful and never leaves my side. I'm really enjoying your videos. Sending love across the pond 🙏💞🏴
Great update on Shelby good to see he trusts and loves you he came a long way from that first greeting when he was showing his teeth to you good job and it must be gratifying when that trust takes place of fear. Not for the timid that is for sure your confidence shows with your handling of your pack. Love you right back.
I have a street dog named Troy (got him from the Human Society in Yuma) and this video reminded me of my son Troy. He doesn't trust others but he trusts my husband and I. He is so sweet, smart and loving. I treasure your dog....so beautiful!
I love your beautiful manner with your dogs that I love ❤️ Sometimes though when you’re talking about one dog like Shelbie, and your other dogs come to receive affection, you don’t return their kisses nor pet them…it’s only the dog you’re talking about. I feel the others feel a little lonely 😔
Thank you for the update on Shelby. I wish I knew the history on all the pack but what's important is that they are HOME. They are with you Lee and I don't think they could be happier. Thank you for another amazing and beautiful walk with your pack. They are just amazing. Each one special. I think of you like a dog whisperer. You just bond wirh these animals in such a beautiful way. You also speak to all of us in a special way, giving wise and valuable advise. You are filled with wisdom beyond your years Lee. Have a wonderful day. We love you. We love the pack and all the other fur babies. We love Asher House. 😁❤❤❤
I used to be a pet sitter and one client had two dogs, one old, one young. The older one always wanted to go on the walk so l took her, but she'd flag after only 5-10 mins and we'd have to come back. The younger dog was so disappointed l could see. Then one day the older dog was sound asleep, so l thought why not take Betty on her own now. Only problem was whenever l picked up the collar Betty would start barking for joy and jump up. So I tiptoed over to the lead and put my finger to my lips and pointed to Dolly (the older dog). Betty silently went to the door and let me put the lead on and we slipped out unnoticed. Dogs understand so much of what we do, she knew exactly what was going on there. And her reward was a nice long walk!
I'm so glad you changed his name..it shows he's left that hard life behind him and is embarking on his TRUE LIFE with you and your pack.. Shelby is a good name..as i live in Birmingham 🇬🇧 I am aware of the Peakys as this is where they're from..about a couple of miles from me..their pub was The Garrison on Garrison Lane.. so pleaded that he is settled and happy.. he knows you rescued him and is showing that loyalty and that he doesn't have to fight to survive anymore because he knows his dad will do that for him..God bless you Lee..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏🐾🐾🐈🐕🐵🐺🐏🐐🐄🦃🐓🦙🐖🐃🐂🐃
Love 💘listening to you and your stories about the doggies.. I close my eyes and imagine walking with you, smelling the outdoors, feeling the cold water when the pups hit the stream.. your love is overwhelming wonderful ❤and all that you do for them. Huggs to you and the pack. Shelby probably thinks he's in dog heaven... but then he is!!LOVE YOU ALL!!!🦮❤
I ❤️ your videos! It's wonderful to see the joy you have because of what you're doing! Keep helping these pups, as well as all the other critters you've saved. 😊
Ye gods, I hope not, she kept people in agony, refusing to treat people's ailments because the insane ##(female dog) decided that they were nearer to her "God" the worse their pain and suffering.... Wicked vile creature. 100% opposite to the situation here
I've seen a lot of your videos on your channel and on The Dodo today and i might turn 26 this year but when i grow up i want to be just like you. You've got the biggest heart and are a true hero for all these wonderful family members you adopted. I really hope you are able to do this for as long as possible and thank you so much for showing us all of it.
I would REALLY love a episode dedicated to Xena versus the rocks! Whenever I watch your videos, and you are walking the property with the pack…I am always watching for Copper to come hauling @$$ from somewhere behind you, trying to catch up and not be left behind and listening for that cry because the damn rock is not cooperating with poor Xena!
I’m glad you mentioned Pom Poms - I was worried something happened- but now I understand my Poms never wanted to go out either I always had to carry her in a doggy pouch because she got to tired and hot. I’m glad you let them decided whether to go or not. All your dogs are amazing but your so right about it only takes one dog to become aggressive in a pack and the others follow. Best be safe than sorry! Shelby is happy with you and knows your intend is not to harm. Amazing person you are!! Thanks to you and your staff for all you do😊
That was fantastic, Lee. Thank you so much! I'm one of those people that have been dying to hear about Shelby. I'm am so happy he is doing so well. I also appreciate hearing that the dogs that are not on the walk chose not to join. I've wondered when I don't see someone. How far is it from the house to the creek? I can imagine it might be a bit much for little Pom Poms.
I always wonder about where pom-poms is so I am happy to her she's doing well and just doesn't feel like taking long walk. Hey Lee, maybe carry her in a doggie backpack so she can hang with the pack once you get to the creek? Just a thought....be well from Washington state ❤️
@@adriannenash9852 I thought the same thing - carry her to the creek. I think the sights, sounds and smells would be good for her. Also from WA State. :)
I love the way you treat your dogs with respect and dignity. You respect their boundaries and they show it by loving you and standing in long lines just to get your kisses. Treat dogs well they will shower you with love.is the message I get over and over in your videos and pictures.
I would just like to say that watching your video's with just one or all of your beautiful family of furbabies makes me smile so much and I've fell in love with them all. I love what you do at The Asher House and I just love you for the kind hearted, loving, caring, loyal, wonderful man you are Lee Asher. God bless you and your babies. Love from Alison is Shropshire, UK. Xxxxxx
💙😭You can see in his eyes the love he has for you. What a story this boy holds. His scars used to make me sad. Now I see they're testament to his life and how far he's come. The happiness and love he gives and receives now. I love the scene from when you met him.🥺 He showed he wanted to love you but was cautious.
I find your video’s beautiful showing how everyone of your dogs are loved cared for and all living a free wonderful life. You and your team are truly wonderful in what you do.
7/5/23 I’ve been following for about a month and been drawn in totally to you and the Asher House. Thank you for opening your heart to Shelby. She deserves your love and to have happiness in her older years. Thank you for all you do. ❤️
Hi Lee - always love watching your videos as I am a huge animal lover. We have had eleven dogs go through our house and at present only have one remaining. Our house will always have a dog or two but being seniors we have cut back. If you can, please remind your audience that getting a puppy they wake up at night sometime two or three times for feeding and will cry just like a newborn human. Because Mom dog is not their you must wake up and feed puppy and let them go to bathroom then back to bed otherwise they will keep crying. Many people do not understand and punish puppies or put outside in the cold or sever hot weather, God bless.
