"Our Super 74" VW Bug Short Film

This is the original short film that inspired my "Our Super 74" series, and started me down the path of creating my own RU-vid channel. This is my favorite video I've ever made. The film tells the story of our 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle, which has been in my family since it was new. I hope you love watching it as much as I loved making it.
Special thanks to my good friend Ben Niles for his cinematography skills.

49 going on 50 and with a big smile on my face! You brought up sweet and priceless memories to my mind cause this was also the car i ‘ve learned to drive(even the light blue color)...and boy what joy & fun was that!!! Seeing this video I ‘ve realized that this was also my dream but unfortunately couldn’t afford it... Great video & many blessings to your family!

Tasos Topalis i too learnt to drive from my fathers beetle those days. It was very cool and i think it was a 1962 one. Light green colored. Now i have a different beetle (1969). It has been the previous owner’s work horse for nearly 25 years. His all two daughters have been brought home on this car. Seems like many have similar stories..

Great story Jason, these cars have seen so much and mean so much. My dad purchased his 1303 new in 73, he put 377,000 miles on it and gave it to me before he passed away, so many memories.

I’m getting a super beetle soon my dad had several standard beetles back in the 70’s/80’s and in the 60’s and 70’s my grandfather had several beetles and repaired them as a side job sadly grandpa passed last year so he won’t get to see me finally have a bug of some sort but I know he’s happy somewhere

I had a 74 Super Beetle in high school and most of college….my last year of college I upgraded to an 1980 Audi 4000…and felt like a BMOC, lol….never thought the ol Veedub would be a collectors item…..no one collects Audi 4000’s, lol

Came here from your other vw video. Love your skills and car. This is very beautiful. Marvelous! I have watched so many beetle videos on RU-vid but never found this on search results. I suggest you increase the visibility by changing the keywords, title etc in this video. This is a must watch vw beetle video for all other vw enthusiasts. Thank you and Great Job! My family and I are big fans of beetles, and looking at this video just made me think of all the things our VW have seen and lived, they are full of memories. They are compact cute time machines, ageless cars. Your short film just... made me so exited to the future memories my (also future) beetle will treasure along my side.
