actually flashing the traffic lights might be true in the old days there was light sensors on top of the light for emergency vehicle's but now adays thers sensor on the ground that detect if there is a vehicle as for the emergency vehicle's they are controlled by the road operation centre

Some of this myths may be partly true. The one about red cars may be false, but if you have a souped up car or one with flames and things on it, you definitely have a higher chance of getting pulled over, i hadn't a a ticket in my life until I put flames on my little 4 cylinder 1960 escort (that went 0 to sixty in about 5 minutes! Wow I don't think it was even possible to speed in it, .... It topped out at about 62 mph), I got 3 speeding tickets and pulled over 5 times. Since I got rid of that car I haven't even been pulled over. The one about backing up also has some truth, the traffic lights on many side streets are controlled by a sensor that will only turn the lights green if your directly above the sensor. If you overshoot it , pull up too far or not enough, it may not trigger, ....so pulling back or going forward slightly may trigger it.

toxicgraphix Thanks for watching and your feedback. I've also heard of pulling up and reversing to get the light to change, but did not know if it worked or not. Thanks for your comment.
