Our Trying To Conceive Journey-7 Months of Footage 

I can't even describe how nervous I am to post this video. I've felt God telling me to share my journey but to be honest, I've been so scared to upload this. Thinking of what people have said in the past and opening up such a personal wound for so many to judge is very scary for me. I hope you can all respect what I am going through. I know many of you tell me "you're only 26 stop rushing it" or "you just got married you have to learn each other first", having a baby is something that connor and I have wanted for so so long. I will delete comments that are not necessary. I LOVE you guys so so much who support me. This video is not intended for sympathy, I really felt that I needed to share my journey so other women could feel less alone. I love watching these types of videos to feel connected. xo

This is why I always tell people never ask “when are you having kids” or “Do you want kids” because you never know if something like this is happening.

The deep pitted feeling of a negative pregnancy test is something I will never forget. It's something very few people talk about. Praying for you and your beautiful family.

And I agree the hardest part is when people ask you about it. Why you dont have kids or when youre going to have kids. People dont realize that questions like that can be hurtful

i completely know where you are coming from girl. My husband and I had a few miscarriages and have been trying for over 2 years. But God is so faithful, He has filled me with hope and comfort and reassurance! It's a rough season, but i know our rainbow babe is coming! And your blessing is too! Hold on to God! He is such a good father!

My husband and I waiting a long time to start trying, it took over a year. I honestly was starting to lose hope, I thought we would have to adopt. But I’m now 7 months pregnant I’m 33 and a first time mom. Please don’t lose hope.

I tried to get pregnant with my husband for a year, I know how it feels to do this every month and it’s always negative. My mom recommended me to go get my hips checked with a chiropractor because she thought maybe my hips where open or displaced which she said that could cause someone to not be able to get pregnant, I don’t know if that is true but I went and the chiropractor told me my hips were pretty bad. He cracked my hips and put them back how they should be and I didn’t think much of it until that same month my period was late which wasn’t unusual so I didn’t really want to take a test because it was always negative and I felt extremely discouraged. Anyway I caved and bought a test, I knew it would say negative, that’s what it always was but I was wrong, when I looked at the test there were two extremely dark lines... I cried for so long because I couldn’t believe it. Have faith, it really will come at the right time, God’s timing is perfect, now I have a 2 year old boy who I love so much❤️ soon you will get there! Much love!

I’m getting my Birth control removed next month and this is something that worries me only because I’m in my early 30s. My husband and I are firm believers of Gods timing as well. Thank you for posting this video and the information ❤️

We have almost the same story, my husband and I have been trying for almost 7 months,such a rollercoaster you dont realize how much you truly want a child until you don't get one. Just gotta keep reassuring, God controls the womb. His timing is perfect.

This is the type of real video that many people really need. My sister and her husband have been trying for 15 years. They’ve gone through treatments and have tried just about everything but it just hasn’t happened for them.

My husband and I got married when I was 19 and he was 20. It took us 10 years to have our first baby, no health issues and it wasn’t from lack of trying. Try not to despair, it will probably happen when you least expect it! Sending you hugs!

My husband & I are in the same place as you. I’m 26 & him 25. We’ve been married almost a year & been trying for about 6 months. Every month is heartbreak but I heard this encouragement & it’s something I keep in the back of my mind. “God knows your children before they are born, they wouldn’t be your children if they came to early or to late, their time is their time, so one day when you are looking at your children remember how long you prayed for them & how grateful you are for the time they came because that’s what makes them them”. With timing, maybe the timing isn’t about you alone, but also about your future child? Maybe that sweet baby needs to be born at a specific time because he/she needs to be born into a specific generation. He/she will change the world in his/her own way and God is going to bring them at the perfect time not only for you but for them.

i had a hard time getting pregnant for a long time so did my twin sister she has pcos she lost more than 10 lbs and she got pregnant.. years later i gained alot of weight and had a hard time and then i went on weight watchers lost more than 10 lbs also and started taking prenatal vitamins and then got pregnant right away ..at 30 years old i had my first son

This video is from a while back but I am struggling now too with TTC and just want to say you are not alone, and thank you for making me feel less alone. It’s a grueling experience. I’m 7 cycles in this time around… I do have a daughter but it took 14 cycles to get pregnant with her. I don’t know why it has to be so stressful for some but so easy for others.

It took my husband and me 10 months, when you're going through it I know how long it feels. However, it really made me realize how we are NOT in control of our own lives. God is in control, and he knows the right time. When I finally did get pregnant I was so much more appreciative of the life I got to carry and God's blessing. Each conception of a child is truly a miracle, and it's not always immediate for everyone!

Thank you for sharing your story. I am newly married and started TTC journey a few months ago. Negative pregnancy test followed by my period has been so hard for me. It's hard when people say oh you're just stressing or overthinking it! I feel like I have failed every time I get a negative test. I pray for success in your journey.

Gosh literally everything you’re saying in this video is exactly what I have to remind myself every month. I know this is from a year ago but this is so comforting to hear someone else going through exactly what I am. My sister has gotten pregnant on the first try with both pregnancies and is currently pregnant plus both of my best friends are pregnant right now too so I just feel so alone. I just want to give you a big hug. My husband and I waited 10 years for our miracle. I applaud your willingness to share your journey. So many people experience this, but it's still very taboo, and part of the difficulty is feeling alone. You are not alone. I don't really want to offer much advice, because each woman's journey is so different, but I will say, if you think you might need fertility treatment, start saving up. What they can test for and treat these days is amazing, but even with good insurance it can be pricey. I will also say that it is very common to feel like this is a roller coaster, and sometimes things will take you by surprise. I found Mother's Day to be difficult, and there were times I got really mad at God. Just try to be gentle with yourself, and don't be afraid to seek counseling if you need it. I wish I had. I also know a lot of people who go through this blame themselves, so I hope you will remember that this is not your fault. I will pray that you conceive quickly and easily. God bless.

You aren’t alone girl. This is actually my sixth month trying to conceive and this video has definitely been an encouragement for me. My story is actually exactly like yours! My husband was my only bf ever. We got married at 19 and 20. We are now 23 and 22. God is faithful. I’m trusting and believing in your future baby! It’ll happen in His timing.

I know how hard trying to conceive is. My husband and I have tried for just under 3 years with 2 miscarriages. We started fertility testing and it is such a long process. We are currently 12 weeks ❤ I am a firm believer in timing!

I feel this so hard. We got married in August and our plan was always to get pregnant soon after but it still hasn’t happened yet. All our friends and family are telling us to wait and not have kids yet buts it’s something we both really want and it’s frustrating and discouraging. It’s also really hard to vent when people around us don’t want us to have kids yet so they don’t understand or care.

Me and my fiance have been ttc for 18 months now. It has been such a roller coaster of emotions, and I will never ever forget the gutting feeling of a negative test after thinking you're pregnant. I KNOW me and my fiance WILL be parents. It just comes down to when we will become parents. I had a chemical last month, so I'm crossing my fingers we may have conceived this past fertile week.

But it took us years honestly I was so sad and disappointed each month but I prayed and prayed and prayed and fasted. Emelyne first I want to say thank you for having the courage to post this video I have no doubt you will help so many people. Secondly, I can relate to everything you said in this video. My husband and I have been TTC since July and every month that goes by I get a little more anxious. One of the hardest parts for me is that I got pregnant with my daughter (in 2010) by “accident” and total surprise and we weren’t even trying. (With my ex) and so now that my husband and I really want another child and we’re actually trying .... for it to not happen each month is really hard. I totally understand when you said that because of the unknown you sort of want to rush it.. in a way. Because who knows how long it will take us, or you. And that is what terrifies me. I am pretty similar to you in the sense that I’m definitely a planner to. My husband and I were expecting to get pregnant the first month we tried and now it’s December and we’ve been trying since July and ... nothing :( each month that AF comes I cry the first day and then just like you said, usually by the 2nd or 3rd day I start to feel a bit better and think ok, let’s try again. For me the biggest thing that has helped me get through uncertainty is trusting in God. Knowing that His timing is perfect and that He doesn’t make mistakes. I know that ultimately God already has all of this planned out and I just ask God daily to help me to be more patient and trust in His timing. I can relate to this topic so much. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 2 months before my wedding. I was absolutely devastated and had to finish the last four hours of my work shift in tears. When I told my then fiancé I started by telling him we can call off the wedding because I can’t guarantee him children. He said he loves me with PCOS or not. We got married and now everyone is asking when the babies are coming. I cannot bring myself to tell them the truth so I tell them we want to travel the world first. It is very hard dealing with this so I completely understand how you feel. One of my cousins got pregnant and I was so angry. I just remember crying myself to sleep thinking why can she get pregnant and not me? My parents told me to not stress and to relax because it will be very hard to get pregnant if your body is under stress. So in the meantime I am focused on building my career and building my marriage with God as our backbone. God will bless you and your husband with a child in His time. He will also do the same for my husband and I. I spent many nights crying telling my husband I am broken but in reality God is in control. He will do what is right in His time we just have to keep praying for our miracle babies. “What is for you will not pass.” Just remember God is in control and he will not forsake you.

I’ve been there with the being late taking the test and then getting my period a couple minutes/hour later. This is the raw honest truth and it’s hard. Trusting God’s timing is hard. I know he has the best plan but everything about it is hard. Everything you’ve said I can relate to.

I'm 24 and I completely relate to your comment about wanting someone your age to talk about this issue with. And it is really hard to walk through alone. I totally wish I had a friend as well to talk to, currently have been trying for 2 years.

I would highly recommend reading the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler Great resource book with lots of info. It worked for me. Hoping it works for you.

I’m currently on day 2 of Cycle 3. The past two cycles have been such a disappointment. I hate getting my period. It’s the most heart breaking thing. I’m praying so hard so so so hard that this cycle is a success. 😔

After 2 years of trying My doctor recommended me to see a chiropractor which helped I got pregnant within 2 months after both times (I have a 2 year old daughter and 6 month old son) they also recommended taken prenatal vitamins and folic acid not a lot of people know you need lots of folic acid to help baby stick and prevent birth defects

I have one son who is 7 and had 6 miscarriages, turns out that not only is it hard for me to get pregnant in the first place because I don't ovulate as often, but I have a blood disorder that any pregnancy after the first one, my body will attack the fetus like a disease and kill it, there are medication for it but is only available when I'm pregnant. To top it off, I have cervical cancer and that is also preventing pregnancy. I was just diagnosed last week, and told there is a possibility of losing my cervix, so I may never have kids.....moral of my story, I wish you luck and I am praying for you and your husband. I hope you have kids, you will be an amazing mother. And I've been following you since your 1950's housewife challenge, the first one. So you are always in my prayers. God bless.

You are not alone. It took my husband and I 1.5 years to get pregnant. Month after month of “no” is so disheartening and depressing. It is so hard not to feel like there is something wrong with you, even if there isn’t. I also have several friends and family members who got pregnant right away, or accidentally got pregnant. It was a struggle to be happy for them and to also feel sad because it isn’t happening for you. I told my husband deciding to conceive is the biggest journey that you literally have no control over. I kept reminding myself that god has a plan and he won’t be rushed, even when we are in a hurry. The month we found out, I didn’t even want to take the test because I was so sure that it was just going to be yet another negative and then when it wasn’t, I literally took a test almost everyday until I had the confirmation from the DR because I was so sure that it couldn’t actually be happening.

WOW our timelines are super similar! We got married June of 2019 and we’re going through a similar situation!! You can’t watch my TTC videos if you ever feel alone, we’re in it together sis! Gods got us 💕

Something that helped my sister was her love of Christmas! She planned out if she got pregnant during a certain few weeks she would be due around Christmas. That way she had peace for a few months. They were still trying but not taking tests. This helped her emotionally so much!

You’re not alone hun, I was lucky enough to have a SURPRISE baby at 17 but was diagnosed with PCOS a short while after. My estrogen is critically low, and my birth control contains the highest amount that my doctors can give me in pill form. We have talked about trying for a baby in the next few years and my doctors have confirmed that fertility treatments are definitely in my future. I said it once at 17, and I’ll say it again now, everything happens for a reason. Have faith sweetheart 💕

You said everything so wonderfully. TTC is so difficult, whether it's 3 months or multiple years. We were taught that pregnancy can happen from one time, so easily but in reality, our chances of NOT getting pregnant each cycle are higher than our chances of getting pregnant, even if we are trying! Putting time limits on pregnancy or having kids (like be done having kids by 30) makes it so much harder and puts so much stress on our minds and bodies, which makes getting pregnant even harder. I have a 1.5 year old and who was conceived in 2 months of trying. Now, we're trying for baby number 2 for 5 months and it's been disappointing and difficult. But I'm trying to keep my heart on God's plan. Your words and advice is truly helpful and I'm so thankful I found your video!

I am honestly saying this from the bottom of my heart, a lot of problems arise sometimes when you are thin, maybe gaining about 10 pounds will help your body get ready for a pregnancy. I know this sounds crazy but it can be a reason.

I hope it all works out for you guys. I can’t have more kids due to health reasons. My second hubby and I might adopt one day. I’d like to have a girl to. Kids are a blessing. I thought I could not have them. I had two boys after having 3 miscarriages. So you just never know when it will happen 💗

We had a miscarriage 2 years ago and haven't been able to get pregnant since..I've been open with people about that especially at work because everyone always asks. And now I regret telling people that we are trying because they always tease and ask me if I'm expecting yet..than they give me advice which I already know about we have been trying for 2 year I think we've tried about everything, it hurts..But I know the father has a plan and looking back I can see that everything is working out for the good...

This will happen for you, but the journey is so so hard for so many. So many of us can relate. Trust in God and enjoy your life as much as you can in the meantime. I know you know all of this, but it's just something to keep repeating to yourself.

Im on my seventh month of trying which I know isn't that long, just the beginning, but every month I wait to test and then get a negative and I too have a sad day when I do get my period and then I'm fine to try again the following month. My first pregnancy and second happened very quickly and I'm grateful for them. My next pregacny will be my last so it's extra special and is taking its own special time to make itself known

It took me 3 years of kinda trying kinda not to get pregnant. I say kinda not because I didn’t go to the doctor or do anything outside of well the natural way to get pregnant. Just don’t give up and god will bless you when the time is right. Trust me it’s all worth the wait.
