Went abit rough this time around, but we made it up hells mountain after our 3rd time at Ourimbah State Forest and thats all that matters.
Great track with plenty of courses and challenging obstacles to test even the most modified 4x4's.

Psalm 32:5
"I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. "

God bless bro, novel way to share your faith. Having followed a few of your earlier videos, you guys had me worried with some of the driving you did. But you live and learn and you are out on the tracks all the wiser. Keep the faith bro, Lolomas (blessings) from F1J1!! Must say this your enthusiasm for 4wding comes out in spades, now that I realise you’re a fellow Christian it explains heaps. Keep spreading the joy bro, its in short supply these days.

I think that initial steep rutted hill would have been better by sticking to the far left side. But I don’t know, I wasn’t there. Second one should have a front locker or the system should have braked the spinning LF wheel to send power to the RF

i get scared everytime I watch your videos; Get rated recovery points guys, snatching from a tow pin not a rated shackle, and using an equaliser is good but the standard points are for tieing down to tow not snatching. Also the damper need to be in the middle or better yet 1 a third of the way in and the other 2/3 of the way down it. Also you dont have locker"s" you have a rear locker. Seriously not being an ass but watch some how tos and fails so you dont end up a casualty. like Ronny Dahls channel is great.
@adventureaustralia1925
@adventureaustralia1925 6 лет назад
Mitch Jackson hey bud thanks for the comment, we've done alot of research on the factory points, and that's why we use the equaliser strap because the points are welded on the chassis and are quite thick, however in saying that we never snatch too hard just to be safe but none the less the recovery points are something needed hopefully soon! And with the dampers we use actually two of them which you might not have seen (I actually learnt that from ronnys channel) as only one on the middle can still cause the strap to hit the car being a 6 Meter strap and sometimes longer weighting the middle isn't going to stop an end flinging back and causing some damage. But thanks for the friendly advice we appreciate the comment bud!

I apologize first - for sounding ignorant, but i am :-) . knew to all this absolutely love the look of the MQ tough no nonsense - here's the dilemma - looking to get a Mitsubishi, for camping, the idea - Fraser island \ national parks \ mainly beach stuff - probably no rock hopping like you, the exceed MQ seems to have it all, but then i looked at the Pajero sport, price is a little more for the GLS this also has RDL \ I read the ground clearance is 205mm MQ and 2018mm on PJS - what tweaked my interest, in Queensland coppers cracking down on lift kits max is 30 to 50mm and was commented in one of your posts. so for about $1,500 bucks added to the MQ suspension \ plus a decent canopy $ 3,000 to safely secure gear. does my logic seem to make sense that the PJS is good value. underneath they are basically the same vehicle ?? Or Would you feel the MQ with $1500 bucks spent on lift is then better than having the PJS stock. Have to say I much prefer the look of the tricked out triton, any opinions \ advice is appreciated ( big purchase eh ) cheersAndrew

Have fun you guys. Everyone is an expert I know, but trust me, you are taking ALL off these obstacles too fast. Yes some times using momentum and a small amount of wheelspin is ok, but 4wding is almost never about speed, and almost always about thinking, thinking, thinking some more, and then doing it once, and doing it right. Going at it 10 times until you get it right needs no skill. Great to see your excitement at success. Love your cars. Clear everything without any marks, and if you think that you can’t do it... don’t. Your 4wd (and wallet) will love you for it.

I don't want to break my toys so I'm very conservative, but everyone is different. Some people spend fortunes to make top fuel dragsters that get about a minute of use before they have to be stripped down and rebuilt. I cringe watching the way these 4x4s get treated but I wouldn't try to stop anyone from doing it that wants to.

It's good to see you didn't quit and you didn't go into loony mode. Wheel placement and track building, that one 'pebble' placed in the whole made all the difference on the second obstacle and as your mate said on the first obstacle it would have done the same, you might not have scratched the bumper, but hey it's a 4bie so it's going to get scratched. It is good to see you applying common sense and using mechanical sympathy. Put them together with a bit of experience and you'll get almost anywhere you want to be.

Great video gents. How do you rate the standard tow points for recovery? The recovery in your clip was more of a tow than a "snatch" so interested in your opinions. Pretty hard to get aftermarket rated points for for the MQ Triton without putting a bullbar on - at least so I have found. Cheers. J

George, whenever your getting a diff lock, go for a front locker, it should help the Triton when climbing up steep hills and rocks. You can compare the front locker against the rear locker and see how it stacks up against each other. God bless you guys and keep the faith. Nice of you to share a Bible verse every video. I'm watching all the way from Trinidad!!

Anthony Ramdin hey bud that's definitely the plan id say the car will perform much better with the front locker so as soon as I can I'll definitely be getting it and we'll have a comparison video following ! Glen Davis the problem I find offroading even with the triton is when it's a steep incline the front two wheels seem to be useless even when rear locked. The rear lsd works pretty well I find my main struggle comes from the front and I've had a few guys with tritons swear by front lockers. So I guess I'll be the guniea pig haha!

So in SA we replace the stock sump plate with a 4mm steel bashplates. Really its money worth, Anyways I enjoy your videos can see you guys improving each week, the best way to learn is with a stock vehicle because it forses you to take better lines. Then once your rigs are built up you know your stuff. On 12:40 what you can do to assist the vehicle is have the spotter put some body weight on the spinning front wheel. This will give is some grip. But also help send drive back to the other wheel that got traction but is standing still.
