Hey! So I am pretty sure you live down the street from me! I'm the guy down Spruce with the white Subaru Forester and the Red Langford Canoe. I do overnight stream trips around the Timmins area all of the time! I'm always looking for someone to do trips with, even just 1 or 2 nighters and day trips. Let me know if you ever want some company! You could probably teach me a thing or two, I'm just getting into whitewater (I ran Opishing/Kamiskotia River last year from a tributary over the Falls and into Matagami to the launch at the base of the Laforest Dam. Anyway shoot me up! P.S this looked like an insane bushwak. Very cool to relive the experience with you! Cheers!

Your right on north west Ontario is amazing for rivers. We lived in Schreiber for over 10 years and we did many trips. We paddled miles and miles on Superior. The Slate islands are amazing we had our honeymoon there. You guys always have great videos thanks.

Looks like a great adventure. I paddled the Cat River back in 1998 en route to the Ottoskwin River and beyond - so nice to see that was part of your route.

Wow you two, you put this together very well. Even though this area has been traveled in the past and partly by First Nations today, it was absolutely a remote expedition. Some of the rapids you ran gave me a gut ache, yikes! Can't wait to see finished video's! Take care.

Awesome stuff you guys. One of the upsides of the non-live presentations these days is all the editing that can go into it. All the clips you peppered in were terrific. What's that goop you used on the canoe? That cold snap must've been a factor for the tough fishing

Great trip, look forward to the release. The big problem with these things is always time I find, I usually wish I'd taken twice as long to really enjoy it and not be on the move all the time, maybe when I retire...

I love you guys and your content so much. My husband and I love canoeing together and we talk about doing this sort of thing all the time (I don’t think we will ever be as brave as you guys but at least we can live vicariously through you). Also Leah you are a champion, and my inspiration as an outdoors woman! Lots of love from southern Ontario 🙏💗

Great video watched it all. The leg hold trap was a find. Did you find anything else like that?
@ExploreTheBackcountry
@ExploreTheBackcountry 3 года назад
More of the leg traps. Historic camp remnants (rusted old wood stove, etc), old but more recent marten boxes, odd and mixed old metal stuff (tools, buckles etc). Some very faded pictographs too.
