Love your fur babies. I have one female German shepherd and whatever I’m doing she is in the middle of it trying to help. Love your pack. Shepherds are so loyal.

😂 I would melt instantly in 100degrees. It rarely hits 70 but when it does I’m miserable. Heck, they shut the schools down if it gets to 85F, not that it ever does in this area.

This is truly an out-of-pocket build. This weeks budget was spent on getting the wood stove so now we have to work on “free” projects until my next paycheck. Believe you me, I wish every episode could be about getting the house finished. I look forward to your comments each week, they are always encouraging. Thank you 😊

Recommend you keep your eye on the prize...if what you are doing is not a preparation for Winter, don't do it now

I get what you’re saying. This build is completely out of pocket with a very small budget. We bought the wood stove with this weeks allotment so we’re just trying to finish up some “free” outdoor projects until my next paycheck when we can get the rest of the stove pipe, cement board and other items to do the hearth, also gotta finish the ceiling insulation. Once those are complete we can get the skirting up. Still need to wrap up the water spring project too before winter. A wood shed, firewood. It’s a never ending list 🫤

Such a pretty pathway to the outhouse. Did you get the shower water heater fixed or replaced. The yard looks so beautiful. What a difference from the first day you arrived on the property. I'm surprised the dogs aren't roaming around looking to play. Great progress!!

We did all the troubleshooting CampLux suggested to no avail. They eventually refunded us. I think we’ll focus on getting a regular tankless propane water heater and build a shower inside instead of wasting the efforts on the outdoor one considering how close winter is. The puppers are always roaming around while we’re working outside. They enjoy playing in the creek so if you don’t see them that’s probably where they are🐾

The Aleutian Islands cross longitude 180°, so Alaska can be considered the easternmost state as well as the westernmost. So essentially, the line that divides the east from the west splits through Alaska

How do you get water for a shower?

Right now we haul it from a public source in town. As soon as we get a collection tank we’ll be able to pump it from the natural spring we developed over the summer or from collecting rainwater.

Glad I will never have to walk in the rain, snow, sleet, hail, mosquitos, heat, etc to go to the bathroom ! LMAO Married over 40 years and never put my wife in that position. Yup, I spoil her.
