Sega need to know just how loved they are. Maybe they could release a Switch style handheld that contains a museum of classic Sega games from 1983 to present, all running at 60 fps. It would be able to be plugged into a smart tv and would contain the model 2 classics, model three, NAOMI 1 and 2 and Lindbergh. In the wake of retro popularity vs next gen gaming, I'm convinced it woud shift. Sega CEO? Are you taking note :)
I hope your channel grows Mike! OutRun is by far the greatest gaming experience I have ever known. There may be better games out there, but the faithful Saturn version of OutRun (the 1986 coin-op converted in 1996) and this PS2 version of OutRun 2006....all these years later I wonder could they do an OutRun 3 on the newest consoles? I heard about Slipstream for the Ps4 but not sure it tops OutRun. I doubt anything ever will! Great review.
Thanks a lot! I wouldn't say Slipstream tops OutRun, but it is a pretty-looking game that's worth a shot if you'd like something a little different in a OutRun-like title.
The original OutRun also had short, sprite-based comedy sketch endings for each of the five final stages. I'm sure that F-Zero game could've been an influence on the OutRun 2/SP/2006 endings, but it itself was probably influenced by the endings on the original OutRun.
