This is good if you can unscrew your spindle. But if you can't undo your spindle with a screw driver ( eg. in Australia) - you can fix this issue by replacing the o-rings and washer. There's plenty of video's showing that.
Hi Jonathan, I was shown how to do it this way over 25 years ago by some very good plumbers and still use to this day. I've never had a call back for any repairs using PTFE this way. It also provides the general public an easy way to follow these instructions. Thanks for your comment.
Hi, please advise what tool I can use to tighten the back nut of stop cock which is not accessible easily as it is under the a sink cabinet and also behind the back panel I which has been cut with a large hole. The plumber has put it in such a way that I cannot use spanner to tighten it as the back nut is inaccessible. I am thinking about using a box spanner set or Rachet wrench with long 2 inch bit but don’t know where to buy it from.

My one is leaking from from the hole and when i close it tightly the Water starts leaking from the top.. Could you please advise me ?? Is it the same way to fix it ?
