Absolute perfection from the both of you Martyn, Tangmere creating it's own weather system, and the Earl in a class of its own.....another 10/10 Gem....Bob
A great result Martyn, a lot of rushing around but well worth it. I was in Exeter getting the 'slower shot's' but 5043 nearly caught Me out running 10 up on the return into St David's. My camera was still in the bag as I came onto the platform and there she was just running in.... never moved so quick in my life!! :-)
cracking good video mate, not often one gets a chance to chase three locos about, I guess you enjoyed getting the shots as much as I enjoyed watching the resulting fast and furious results, fantastic, cheers.
Thanks Kristian. It's good to have two cameras again as it allows some variation. It doubles our output for no extra travel. I'm also glad you managed to have a cameo role in this production.
Don't be so self critical Martyn, the 10/10 was for achieving such superb work in very difficult conditions.....That's not any easy thing to achieve, so I stand by my marks.....10/10....Bob
Thanks very much. It wasn't supposed to be fast and furious but the day began to unravel towards the end. Still it was enjoyable to film and i'm glad you liked it.
Luck it certainly is and not planned. I don't always get away with it and often include the shots just to show how bad it can go. Thanks as always Alan.
The shot that you mention was supposed to be smoother than that. the plan was to stand further apart but I got caught out by the train being early. Still never mind and i'm glad you enjoyed it.
It's always a pleasure to head South West Ryan. I don't need to look closely at the penultimate clip mate as I have a big close up of you that didn't get used. Judging by your outfit I thought you wanted to remain unseen. Saw you at Dainton earlier as well.
Another hard trek to the south west, but still defying the elements with nature. It was quite an event for all concerned no doubt. Catching some highlights of the day. Look closely at the penultimate clip at the end and you can see a recognisable figure on the hillside
Martyn - I have to say that I enjoy your videos a lot and this was full of shots that were really really good! Steam engine mathematics 5043 = 34067+70013! While 5043 x (34067+70013) = x|x 34067= ☁☁☁☁☁ ……Hᴜɢʜ……TU....ツ
Thanks Bob but this wasn't perfection. Rain on the lens, an early return, and one of the loudest engines sneaking up unheard on a whole bridge full of people made for an indifferent day. Still we love it and here's to the next one. Cheers again but it's not worth a 10.
