nice stuff i did some oline collage studying on AC and hers a thought look for and adjustable TXV valve and i say the math on free-on needed via online chats then you could fill to said amount and play with the txv screw
I was able to adjust the expansion valve in my 1969 Charger and use 134a with all the factory parts. It gets plenty cold and had been working since 1998.
Hey Nice Truck! With that install I see that the AC compressor sits on the bracket different than the factory compressor. Does it hit the driver side valve cover?
Always wondered about replacing the factory AC with something more modern on my 88 F-150. Figured I would try it once I got a garage. How about the blower, did you replace that? I've always wanted to put in the complete AC system from a Mercedes panel van, those are the best systems I've ever seen. They get cold insanely fast, 5 seconds or less and the air they push out is quite a bit.
hey man what gear ratio are u running? i know u got them 44s but i dont recall the gear ratio? i have the exact same setup but in a 78 bronco , i got 38s and 4.56 gears with a np465 and np205 case , @50 mph im over revving my motor whats your rpm range/speed
john dowe I’m running 5.13:1 gears with a C6 transmission. I’m guessing it runs 2500RPM at 55. Yours should be geared pretty similar to mine once you take into consideration tire diameter.
@@thekingofcows yeah that sounds about right, I figured you had a higher cruising speed (65/70) than me but I guess not . I also have a 460 too . Thanks for the info man, looking forward to seeing more of yer vids . Been watching since you first put the motor in few years back
