What are you growing in your garden this year? 🍉🍇🫐🥝

I grew that same verity of fresh eating cucumbers and they were really good, sweet and crunchy and not too watery on the inside. And they weren't too prolific, giving us a handful every couple of days which was just enough for us to keep up with. I live in Michigan in an area that is zone 6A and I've found that the smaller sized sweet peppers grew better for us than the larger peppers

Multiple varieties of tomatoes, multiple varieties of peppers, green beans, peas, sugar snap peas, lots of cucumbers, sunflowers, calendula, marigolds, carrots, multiple varieties of lettuce, onion, cilantro, parsley, potatoes, corn, multiple varieties of watermelon, cantaloupe, borage, mint, chamomile nasturtium, yellow squash, zucchini, basil, thyme, dill strawberries, and many more. We have a large garden for a large family!

Yes! I have done this. One year I grew 100 different kinds of tomatoes. I now have favorites and am now just focusing on my favorites. It is all too much and so unnecessary. I really appreciate your attitude.

Try Amish tomatoes, it is inderminate paste type. Also I have sent Roma's that are a inderminate to Zambia for a mission work. That is from Jordan seeds in MN. They did well according to the pastor there it is his father's favorite.

Thanks for sharing, Cliff. We like Amish Paste! I believe we'll still be growing some this year. Our goal is to keep the garden simple and high production this year so we decided to just grow what has done will in the past. Hopefully our plan works out. :)

I now do some pastes--the Opalka and Jersey Devil are great--and do try some others and then a few cherries, the star of which is the Sun Sugar. It is so nice to hear someone who really knows about gardening! And speaking of peppers, my favorite is Lesya and the shishitos. Did you cook your shishitos in a pan in oil and then salt? That's what we do and they are GREAT that way.

I like shishitos. I grew some last year that ended up super spicy--oops! I grew some amazing Luffa in Texas--They loved the heat. Maybe I should try and grow some this year with you as well:-).
