It's hard to admit, but a lot of us have a deep-rooted fear of being hit.
Imagine admitting this fact in front of 50+ lifelong martial artists at a JKD Training camp in El Campo Texas at the JKDAA Retreat... That's exactly what took place and we can't believe what we captured!
This is one of the most powerful experiences we've witnessed on the mats.
Watch as Sifu Singh teaches instructors how to coach their students in overcoming the fear of being hit.
And just wait for the KNOWLEDGE BOMBS that Sifu Singh drops after this transformation takes place. Worth the entire watch!

I’ve trained in Taekwondo, as a kid, Kyokushin karate, as a teen & Bisset Jui Jitsu as an adult. Never have I had this taught to me. Jiu Jitsu was much better for this type of thing but I never received this type of specific instruction. I have a “glass” nose, thanks to biology. Every time I’ve been punched it exploded in blood, my eyes tear up & both eyes go “black”. This is amazing, for someone like me! I love this frackin’ channel!! I see how Martial Arts can be healing.

My teacher is very old school and me with my students I'm very on the light side, it's just when it comes to sparring with others who are ego driven and been through a difficult time in their lives, which many teachers and coaches take advantage of- they're told to go hard and learn to adopt to the pressure, which is fine because those kind of hits prepare you for competition or real life. But in some classes or private lessons it's good to start off slow and ease your students into their confronted zone😊. Be patient with them, understand where they been, what hardship they've gone through. Doing these things will allow that student to open up more be trustful to you and anyone else they may encounter.❤

My training with Sifu Singh and "Uncle Vu" helped to give me the presence of mind and peace during the chaos to live through a creepy child-molesting stalker pulling a gun on me and threatening to put a bullet in my head. Thanks for bringing enlightenment!

This is a better way than the "old school" that I grew up in, which was to get hit, and eventually you get used to it.

I'm sorry, but it is not ok to charge students for sitting around 20 minutes. The practice could be shown in 3 min and then practiced by all students. If they want to learn how to fight with 1h training twice a week, they shouldn't sitting around.
