Isnt there a gasket between front housings and the main body and also gasket between rear housing and main body. I have oil leaks coming between rear housing and main body. How do you seal this with out gasket?...
You can make your own gasket out of a thin, hard cardboard, such as a breakfast cereal box. You lay the part onto the box on the bench, and trace the shape from the part onto the cardboard, and carefully cut it out. Apply a good layer of fresh oil onto both sides of this new gasket just before assembly. Also, you can make a gasket just by using liquid gasket maker. A really good brand for liquid gasket maker is Permatex.
Hello and thank you for your comment! The air compressors primary function is to build pressure in the system. If your system incorporates the use of an air dryer to remove humidity, and the air dryer is purging water (“anti-freeze”?) then the system is working properly.
I think its the Head Gasket to the break Air compressor leaking or is cracked. Just a guess after reading a coulle forums. I have the same problem and working on rebuilding mine on the weekend.

@@Z-Ack hey dumb Fuck, no one puts antifreeze in a compressor! Antifreeze ended up in the air compressor do to a bad head gasket on the compressor genius.
@@Z-Ack There is, at least on a DD15 engine, a coolant hose from the engine block to the air brake compressor. Whenever you change the compressor, Freightliner recommends you change that hose because it's like a push-in seal (one time use), Thanks.
