I'm not sure how popular or profitable such a brutal high risk high reward game would be. Losing years of progress due to a miscalculation sounds like a major turn off for the casuals who are needed to sustain such a game with the variety Yggdrasil offers. The snowballing of power is an acquired taste as most people give up once an enemy group amasses too much power. Runescape and Eve online come to mind as hard core 'winner take all games" that succeeded, though they're growth capacity is severely limited compared to more casual MMOs like Guild wars 2 and WoW. As much crap as WoW gets, they have perpetually managed to be the most profitable MMO RPG in history for a decade and a half, regardless if it appeals to scrubs, because that's how the free market works.

people are getting tired from not being able to fully explore the world and making the game hard even if you're a play to win person...

Or the amount of the storage needed on the game is so much it could make your computer explode like a nuke or that level of customization is just not available yet

@@alondjeckto I disagree. He would definitely make a great dungeon master with his creativity, but all the mechanics of yggdrasil come from DND. And if it were to be made into a desktop game, it would lose all substance. The drag, attraction of yggdrasil was the fact it was a sword art online like game. One in which you can experience the scenery and the world as if it were real life. Feel the flowers and the wind so to speak. Conventional desktop dnd like games like wow never appealed to me the same way. WOW is about sitting in a chair and spending hours grinding in a game where fighting mechanics are not determined by raw PVP skill. A waste of time. Exploring this land and conquering it, which beholding its wonder and glory, with battles where you prove your worth against other players. That's what's Yggdrasil's all about.

Yeah. The won guilds have a limited amount of points allotted towards NPC creation. By clearing a guild dungeon on the first try, you'd gain a lot more points towards NPC creation for that conquerred guild.

Actually, If I remember correctly the extra NPC levels were seperate to the Throne of Kings, the throne causes some status effect when sitting on it.

havent read it in a few weeks but from what i remember after concurring nazarick they are trying to figure out why the base had such a high cap they assumed it was cus it was a first try clear and they got a bonus of 1750 levels but then ainz sits in throne and the status effect "throne of kings" popped up and he saw its effects and it shocked him, the effects are never outright stated but its most likely that the effects are a bonus 1750 to npc levels and a power boost to members within the throne's range

sYn well in the youtubers defence he did not say that there were only that many divine class items in nazarick he only said that those were the divine class items whos name we know although i would have liked it if he mentioned that their are many others that we dont know about.

Yeah that was exactly what I was getting at. The amount of divine class items is after all in combination with the guild building and the amount of World Class Items one of the most important stats of the guild regarding their power.

Trent Myers princess Renner is the smartest person in NW. Then comes demiurge and albedo behind. afaik.

Petra Marbun Renner is on par/slightly below Albedo, Demiurge and Pandora's actor when it comes to intelligence. If she were more intelligent than the other three, she could be considered to be a threat as she might see deeper into Ainz's non-existant plans and predict what Ainz will do.

Trent Myers Light Novel. Renner is the most intelligent human in the series. Albedo and Renner have even met and spoke about their love interests. Demiurge also likes Renner. In episode 2 of the third season, Demiurge was refrencing Renner during his explanation of Ainz's plan and how the situation in Re:estize is unfavorable apart from one individual.

I think he wasn't neccesarily much more powerful than the other players in the guild, just much more dedicated to becoming skilled in combat and tweaked his build to help. Dedication+time and practice will = skill 9 times out of 10. the 1 time it doesn't, the practice is simply being done wrong.

Just give up unless you want to mindlessly be slogging away at certain things for hours or days on end to get that one .0000000007% chance drop that only happens on Winter cuz whilst yes you might as well be one of the strongest players with that item..... *You fucking pay for that shit with your SOUL*

To be honest, Overlord did miss a few details, for example, it didn't mention whether the time zone of the sixth floor was different or similar if not the same as the time zone of the new world, but some parts that suggested that it was similar to the new world, such as the time when foresight was teleported into the coliseum, or when Momonga went outside of nazarick not long after meeting the majority of the floor guardians in the amphitheatre.

Nishikienrai is using daggers named after the two gods for the sun and the moon from the Shinto religion.

Thats natural most of the anime is a poor adaptation and some of it makes me rage on why they left out and change certain thing and kept in others like the lizard sex scine for example they decided to keep that in but leave out and change certain othrs and they even made complex and interesting characters one dimantional and bland.

NobleHusky if i am not mistaken, albedo is a succubus which gives her lustful attitudes not to mention momonga's character change. We should also take note that all the npc are made and programmed by the supreme beings which made the npc ever loyal and faithful to them. About the latter concern, the guild, ains oal gown, has members only consisting of characters with heteromorphic race (races which are not human nor even human in nature like demi humans) which further created npc having the nature to despise human even if their creators doesn't literally hate humans. Another point is that in order to be a member of ains oal gown, first you should be on heteromorphic race and next should be that you have this hate on how reality works. This created the guild intimately talking about their real lives and struggles on work and their family just like how herohero and momonga talk on the very first episode of overlord.

Why Smile The two requirements to become a member of Ainz Ooal Gown were: 1) Playing as a Heteromorph 2) Being an active member of society And then there was the third, hidden condition. 3) Majority voted on accepting you into the guild.

He has to use "perfect warrior" to become Momon because he wouldn't be able to swing a sword otherwise, it allows him to wield weapons and armour for players with certain warrior classes without suffering class penalties, for example when he fought shall tear he wore "Touch me's" armour, which could not be worn unless you had the "World champion" class, it was stated that Momonga was able to wear it by using "perfect warrior"

He used the god-slaying emperor blade because he respected them as fellow warriors, so yes, pretty much.

They only managed to rank so high because of the amount of world items they had and the reputation as an unconquerable dungeon

zenox bagaan well theres a difference between rip of and inspired and i do belive that the games magic system is inspired and not ripped of from what i read of the books and played d&d the magic systems are qwite different enough to fall into the inspired category.

BlueBeamProductions actually the overlord animes magic system is horrible but the books magic system is great if you watch the anime it barely explains its magic system at all.
