I am glad to see both you and Chris Tanner back to more regularly making videos of the type each of you used to make. It also makes me realize how quickly time passes. When I first started watching your videos your kids were still pretty young and were running around like madmen. Now you have a son who is a young man and a whole lot of grey in your beard (I, myself, am getting a weird, white patch in my otherwise reddish beard).
Very nice video. But honest question: I have seen more than a dozen supershelter videos. And in every one, no matter how cold outside, everyone talks about how hot the shelters are inside. "Almost unbearably hot" is a common claim. LOL! Clearly they work great. But I have never seen a vid where someone tried to adjust the distance between the shelter and the fire. Is there a kind of standard distance? Why not push the fire back to adjust the temperature?
Good comment. I address this In the video. The fire is new and needs time to get established. When it calms down and gets spread out the dull roar 5 to 6 inch fire allows the shelter to become more comfortable
Thanks. I saw that you addressed it. It's just that most of the time people still talk about how hot the shelter it is, even as the fire is just being maintained through the night. Great video will. What park is this? desperately looking for a place to do an overnight and light a small fire. Could you tell me where this park is or where else that would be good? I live in Powell and am relegated to the metro parks right now. Thanks Brother
Grabber would of been enough with fire wouldn’t it I remember watching your other video few years back, all you need for cold night if u got means to make firewood
