In hindsight, it may have been better (and a lot less tiring !😂) for you to have taken the DAY train from Nong Khai to Bangkok. With this option you would have views of the countryside and towns during the journey and you could have bought food and snacks while on the train to sustain you for the 11 hour journey. And when you arrive in Bangkok in the evening, you could go straight to your hostel / guest House and rest, going to bed at normal time for a full night's sleep !! @@natnomad Agreed ! I wouldn't mind taking the DAY train from Nong Khai or Chiang Mai to Bangkok, in Third Class, but I would definitely opt for a sleeper compartment on the night train !
You are really a hero taking the 11 hour overnight train from Nong Khai to Bangkok, in a THIRD CLASS CARRIAGE !!! That must have been a very hard and tiring journey !! The least I would take is the 2nd Class sleeper train, but, of course that costs a lot more than $8 🤣🤣 Very good and interesting video, by the way ! 👍👍
