Genji's entrance is like when Captain America picked up Thor's hammer EDIT: Goddamn thanks for all the likes! I cant believe we were all hype AF for this, now with the state Blizzard is in, we can only hope.
To this day, this video makes me cry. Seeing so many people come together to see what their favorite game has to offer, back during a time when everyone mostly happy with the game and the world. Cheering their favorite characters as they appeared and laughing at the comedic moments. It makes it harder to watch knowing OW2 will never truly replace the original
Honestly, listening to everyone cheer to every character’s introduction made me want to cry... Edit: Feels weird coming back to see this, just to realize we'll never get this. Screw Blizzard.
Watching this after the news broke that the original plan for PvE on OW2 was scrapped. This hurts...loved this game since it came out 2016. Once Jeff left...everything changed. Thanks for the memories.
Well, you see her in these cinematics and think wow! And then you play against her.... then your realize..... she’s not just A devil... Mei is THE devil!
Story time! That was their original plan, but movies are expensive so they thought they’d make a somewhat side-game to fund it. 3 years later it might just be their biggest game! Story time over.
Genji flying in and cutting the robot's hand to save Tracer. Literally EVERY TIME I see that scene I get chills and tears in my eyes, I don't know why but I just love that part so much
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Genji literally proved he could cut through the mech's armor via it's hand, but stopped there instead of destroying it himself because he got lazy
@@Jaded_Jinx it has been a while since I have seen Genji I am glad he is doing well, but that also means I have not been able to teach him anymore than from what he learns from his own experiences
Who else is here feeling depressed because we will never get to throw a genji blade, slicing through 6 enemies along the way, or do a multi-pulse bomb chain with tracer? Come back, Jeff!! PLEASE!!
@@karimcruz3151 rewatching this trailer, i think I'd rather play the campaign then the new OW2 PvP. I hope they release the campaign in one big update. But with the Seasonal content strategy I can see them releasing just a few missions at a time to keep people coming back.
Somehow it is always the simple melodies that make me emotional. I also love how the rhythm changes so it doesn't get boring while there is one action scene after another
Have you seen the size of rein and his gear compared to everyone else? One swing of that hammer into anyone's head should behead or crush their skull instantly.
@@Blackiro0 The WOW movie was poorly thought out. It would have been much better if they released an overwatch movie. It would be easier to make a plot.
@@ItsOctoberr because the Warcraft movie had to balance on a fine line of storytelling between the Horde and Alliance. If they made the orcs out to be the big baddies (like they originally were planning) they just pissed off half core audience. With Overwatch it's much more straight forward since there is a very clear cut good guy /bad guy dynamic. that doesn't mean it would be better or worse, but it would be easier to tell a cohesive story. I'm not saying the Warcraft movie couldn't have been better, but having a fuck ton more source material doesn't make it easier to tell a story. If anything it makes it more complicated.
@@symbolitical4158 My I draw your attention to the last few paragraphs of this interview. www.ign.com/articles/overwatch-2-at-blizzcon-2021-the-big-jeff-kaplan-interview
OMG, I think that I would be the only person that dropped tears! I love so much this game and the cinematics! I'm building a new PC to play other games and especially OW!
Everytime I feel sad i just come back to this video, the excitement, cheering, and all, all for this game that I keep in a special place in my heart. It always makes my day
I’m literally just like u. It makes me sad how all my friends who I played with them since 2016 all left overwatch But me. :( I also left overwatch because there were no one to play with. So yeah whenever I miss the old days i just come here and watch how much joyful was this video it makes me sort of happy
@@vailderedward1063 hey with OW2 coming out hopefully soon, might be able to get some of those old friends back on the game and build some more memories!
I almost cried hearing everyone cheering when the heroes were appearing during the cinematic Btw that "ugh" from Brigitte was so well done by Matilda I laugh every time xD
Have been coming back to this video for years, crazy how much love there is in the community yet blizzard doesn’t seem to care. After today my faith in blizzard is completely gone. Multi million dollar corporations will be the end of the gaming industry.
@@Christopher-jp5zo well u dont see hanzo using spirit dragon everytime he fires an arrow or genji using his dragon blade for every encounter so they must have thier limitations
@@kingwolfy6838 it’s designed for very powerful attacks so whatever weapon they are using, their spirit dragon will amplify it and make it very powerful, and yes there’s probably limitations of course, they would need enough power
@@Christopher-jp5zo after even a swipe, genji has to stop and cool his systems, I doubt his body could handle a flurry or full scale assault like he would need
Since Genji was fatally wounded by Hanzo from their family/clan duel, Mercy rescued him by making him into a cyber-ninja. Once Genji was recovered, he had so much issue with his new body: his mechanical body didn't go well with his human brain, like the cyber-limbs rejecting the human brain's command. Genji tried a lot of physical and combat training to get familiar with his new body under the administration of Overwatch/Mercy, but it didn't work out. As he had been struggling for years to overcome this, Genji even lost fate/hope for life. Until Genji met Zen in Nepal. Zen didn't train Genji much in combat skills, instead Zen advocated that adapting the cybernetic body is not about physical incorporation, the key is about mental harmonization from peaceful but strong willpower, because cybernetics in that time is not simply mechanical, it is omnic, a much more intellectual form. As Zen is an omnic, he knows this well, from an omnic perspective. Therefore, Zen taught Genji to mandate, start thinking and understanding the world/life as the good omnics do. Soon after, Genji has found the balance, regained his ninja agility as the Genji we know now, returned to Overwatch and started to participate in Blackwatch operations... I believe the above is based on the Overwatch game lore so far, my assumption on the lore of Genji and Zen for (connecting to) Overwatch 2 is: Of course, Genji received the Overwatch Recall from Winston. But as Genji was in Blackwatch, their leader, Gabriel Reyes, was once the commander and a good teammate, is now a victim from a failed Overwatch's super-soldier experiment. This not only turned Reyes into Reaper, but also made Overwatch disband. In addition, most of Backwatch operatives are now scattered, some become mercenaries, some are still wandering somewhere, like McCree, Moira, etc... Genji's fate is once again questioned by himself, should he join Talon like his former commander Reyes/Reaper? Or should he answer Winston's Overwatch Recall and rejoin Overwatch? Or should he still be a lone wanderer like Jessie McCree? Genji has lost direction. As the cinematic showed, Genji visited Zenyatta's sanctum once more, what Zen taught Genji this time, should it whether be inner peace or seeking the origin? It is unknown, but I am so glad that Genji showed up in Paris, reunites and rejoins the Overwatch.
Elias Faraj Tayar hahaha are you kidding? I must do it. It is my destiny to over exaggerate the pure awesomeness of underrated content. I think endgame is overrated and overwatch needs to reach out to more audiences. That’s what I’m trying to say.
@Ali Hadi Babar sombra is 30, pharah is 32 we dont know when pharah tried to enter overwatch, she wants to be part all her live, still, why sombra would want to sopt pharah to join
It's actually soooo sad, it was supposed to be a good game, a continue of the ow lore and stuff, everyone was hyped asf, everyone was happy, but without Jeff, they really fucked it up. Like nothing is in ow2 from these things rn. Ow2 was supposed to be this not what we have now.
ive watched this cinematic at least 10 times, and this video more than that. im physically incapable of not crying, especially with all the crowd reactions 😭 it's just perfect, especially the music omg the MUSIC
2023 I almost started tearing up when I saw this. So sad that we only got a glimpse of what they been teasing. But I still have Hope. I love this game. It's pretty much the only game I been playing for the past 4 years.
I cried when I rewatch it again cause I was there in 2019, we had hope about the game. But now Overwatch or even Blizzard is not the same anymore, you will never have the same feeling like the good old days of Overwatch again.
Even though I've already seen the short and loved it... watching it with the crowd made actually tear up, the emotion and the excitement from this short alone is amazing... love Overwatch💖 can't wait for the second part to come!!!!
Does this mean that overwatch 1 was just a huge multiplayer demo and now we're getting the real game? Lol Edit: Glad I could give some people a chuckle, and then some beat red apparently. Lol thanks for the likes guys.
