Dommy Nommy it was mostly noice cancellation on blizzard's part, they've done it before. You can notice severe audio shifts between the overwatch logo at the end and zarya's appearance

Hwat. This isn't blizzard's audio or video though? Its taken straight from the audience and I'm not sure blizzard's created noise cancellation for that

Overwatch animated shorts are fun to watch but sadly I'm not a fun of the game or any shooters in particular because 1. I'm getting sea sick/nausea when playing shooters and 2. Not really good at it. just prefer playing RPGs and TPS like Final Fantasy and MGSV.

I mean not really i don’t remember Ana having that much hype and she was the first hero, this one did get a lot of hype but it was becuase Overwatch was teasimg it for months.

honestly I had no idea when watching the live stream, I usually stay away from any spoilers until an official trailer or anything and I also haven't vistied the OW offical homepage in motnhs so I had no idea what the new character was about I had no idea they had the homepage "hacked" so I honestly thought it was a technical failure and I laughed so hard at home about blizzard fucking up the presentation when suddenly the stream goes completely nuts with all the flashing images and slowly Sombras logo gets clearer and clearer, you hear her voice and I'm like "Waiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittt.................... no way" AND BOOM there she is and I'm fucking flabbergasted, mouth wide open. Way to announce a character, and ignorance is bliss in this case

Starkami Theater the atmosphere was earned. There was a cryptic breadcrumb trail about her for a year hyping her up more than most triple A games.

I aspire to work on the tech team of one of these presentations someday. Also, I hope you've pursued that interest! I'm in the second year of a University theatre program with a specialization in tech at the moment. I'm just starting to learn a fraction of what goes into all this, and I love it!

Not even just this but there were hidden messages in game for months before this and people were speculating Ab who it could be then we finally get a chance to see her! I wish they still did hero releases like this today.

Blizzard realised they couldnt do a hero reveal on the same level as sombra for each hero, it would halt the game production even more

That animation took like 6-10 months to make, that time could've been spent on other stuff in the game, I'm not complaining at all, but I'm just saying it's not possible to get these videos for every hero. Also fuck mei

I could only imagine what it was like in the room where it happened... Too bad OW hero reveals lost it’s hype nowadays. This was honestly super wholesome, so much people getting hyped over one thing.

TF2 got a lot of hype with it's updates and even if they would make an update now everyone would lose their mind, and it's a decade old game. Besides some new heroes, only one of them having a really good origin story we didn't get anything. No new storyline, no new interactions, and no cinematics like this. It has lost it's hype and I doubt it will get anything on this level ever again, but it was because of the creators only going for balances and OW2

sadly Blizzard absolutely betrayed the trust of fans over the last few years, over and over and over again. Nobody really cares about Overwatch as much anymore, and I say that as someone who plays Overwatch regularly.

@@rony9352 they haven't made much animation for new heroes expect Ashe. And the lack of Zen/Lucio lore has kept Overwatch players waiting for years, some of them even left due to toxicity and only skins for event, the hype factor is what keeping games going, but since Sombra, there isn't a big hype until OW2 launches, which is kinda sad tbh

***** ok. let me explain. reindhart has a massive shield coming from his arm. the shield is blue and has the cool pattern on it. tahts exactly what the shield had on it. it couldnt be doomfist because doomfists gauntlet is black and yellow while that was clearly white. and before you say doomfist could have a shield like that that would just be a copy paste of reindharts shield. and thats why it was more like reindhart than doomfist.
