I feel like I should point out that I do not hate Overwatch. I used to be a massive fan and I needed to vent my frustration about the direction the game is going in, and wish that things would be better
I remember saying some silly pikmin related things in the match chat just for shits and giggles (because my username in ow is olimar) thinking others might find it funny, but no I was constantly belittled and called "braindead" the whole time, and not in a sarcastic joking way either, no, people got legitimately mad for some reason. That didn't stop me from continuing to be silly in a game that should be revolved around FUN but I think that experience serves as a textbook example of what the overwatch player base has become You cant even have fun in the non competitive QUICK plap anymore , its just not allowed apparently
@@leviistired3621 Ow players don't know about humour anymore as playing this game makes you miserable. Still, funny to see how people would get so angry over a silly nodd to a meme
I played a bit to test the Transformers collab. It was 3 games and I felt like I am cleaning my apartment. And if playing your game makes me feel that, then you've fucked up
Bit about getting banned for chat was spot on, about a year ago now I swear to god I got banned for a month for saying Mccree I don't use chat for anything other than GG these days since I don't want to risk a permaban
I hoped I was wrong but that's just absurd reason to get banned. What's the point of the chat if you can't even use it without the risk of being banned?
@@trash-bot8k8000 Just a theory but I'm pretty sure there is no moderation and you simply get banned when you get reported enough times, so technically you could get banned for saying anything
@@RainbowsClone Would make sense, as there isn't probably not many humans left in the moderation team, but still, it's just stupid to get banned over something so trivial
lol bro was right to not have hope, bastion can't kill tanks now they gave him a bumblebee skin so there's no mistaking that you are an comparable to an insect to the opposing tank
Hi! I survived my illness, even though you haven't reached 8K yet you already have almost 3K, that's impressive! And you deserve it, your content deserves to be reached by many more people, and I'm happy to finally have the strength to catch up :) Good vid as always, trash-sapien. :]
@@haalybod Happy to hear you overcame your illness and regained your strength. I haven't yet reached 8k but i'm sure it won't take too long. Thank you for this nice comment and good luck on your recovery
I just remembered yesterday how much fun I had in ow1, even on the assault maps… the game just felt more complete with a good game philosophy and clear direction, I miss it very much
Support mains ten cents on the role problems: i like what the DPS passive has done to reduce the effectiveness of single-target-pocket-heals like Mercy, Lifeweaver, ETC. I like the fact that heroes like Iliari and Kiriko are designed to be off-angle dps supports. It felt like for a while there the OW2 team wanted the game to move away from its MOBA-ability-shooter-Hybrid roots and become more of a straightforward movement shooter. But Support cooldowns like Immo Field, Ressurect, Suzu, and Life Grip are still causing problems. These get out of jail free cooldowns combined with hard-crowd-control cooldowns in every role exist in opposition to the shooter mechanics that OW2 has been focusing on during its development. (excluding lifeweaver seriously where did this dude come from) Id like to see cooldown and ultimate nerfs across the board to level the playing field and finally pick a single direction for the identity of this game. I believe the concepts of “the hero fantasy” and the ability half of “ability shooter” have held back the general playerbase’s growth for a long time, because overwatch 1 wanted to be everything to everyone, and we’re still working through that identity crisis.
@@trash-bot8k8000 my advice is to play it with a friend Trying some weird as strategies like flying Reinhardt or tp tire I especially enjoy the April Fools patch with the wacky changes
iam a former top 500 player and honestly dont agree with the point that 5v5 is worse than 6v6 the game felt alot more fluid and fastpaced in 5v5 and the balancing (at least in the first year) of overwatch 2 got better (Goats,Double shield) but i agree that the game has gone downhill thats why i quit after the cancellation of the pve mode.
I personally prefer 6v6 as it's rather stressful to tank alone. I quit just after finishing invasion bp and just coming back, it just seems things have gotten worse
