On console I take quick play serious because of the bug that makes ranked almost impossible to pay. The bug randomly kicks players from ranked games for no reason. You can join back but once you're kicked once, you're more than likely going to get kicked multiple times again throughout that one game. Quick play role queue is basically the competitive of console.

My whole thing with quick play is that it is a place for me to learn. However I’m at a higher level so I usually try to teach people who make mistakes as well. Idk, sometimes I guess I’m a dickhead, but I’d rather people learn for next time so they don’t throw and make the game unenjoyable.

The second TikTok hit me kinda hard after a game I had yesterday. I was playing Kiriko, tank was Doomfist. Doom kept breaking LOS and spamming for healing, if I even thought about getting to a spot where I could see him, I was melted. He then started to rage in chat about not getting heals in 5 deaths. My other support, Brig, and I both explained to him that he was getting too far away or breaking LOS and we couldn't do anything to help. He then told us, and I quote, "Stay further back. That's how you heal tanks." before going completely afk and watching the rest of us 4v5 with no tank just to end up losing and him watching them push the cart to the end from spawn door.

The whole mentality of "it's their fault, not mine. " is understandably addictive. It's honestly hard to say that your not preforming your best when theres complete strangers you can easily place the blame on. Dropping that mentality helped me a lot, to the point where I eventually reached masters near the end of season 2 from low gold.

The scoreboard is the worst thing in Overwatch. It almost never represents actual impact. Elims are given out generously in this game and damage/healing without context could be absolutely useless

For Mei: if a ceiling is a bit higher than her ice wall -- you can wall at the enemy's feet and get them stuck at the top of the ice wall. They will be exposed and can't move, so you can headshot them easily.

I just hate how much people compare stats to show performance. There is so many actions that get so much value that don't get shown in stats. Especially in a heavily team oriented game like ow

It’s always funny to see players complain about not being able to rank up due to issues not involving themselves. Overwatch 2 has one of the most lenient ranking systems ever, to the point where I find it extremely difficult to lose rank. Straight up, if you’re bad at the game, don’t expect to rank up.

I'd like to see mercy's amp damage, be logged on the scoreboard. 14k heals 0 damage while the team has obscene damage, calling me a bad mercy on a win

Rein feels fine as he is to be honest. If he were mildly reworked, I'd love to see some new tech added. Wouldn't mind a small hop after a charge, or experimenting with Rein charge as a meter that fills and drains with its use (would be broken without a short delay between use. Think defense matrix as a comparative). Quick melee with the butt of his hammer could work, but I don't think it's necessary. Something that could be cool, but I don't think would be considered seriously... what if his charge left a path of fire that stayed for a few seconds damaging heroes who cross it? Again, not serious. But it could be funny.

I think flats is making me subconsciously play better Overwatch, and I don’t even play tank. I went from bronze 3 support to gold 2 in a couple of hours. Thanks flats

4:00 the Ana likely doesn’t want to give up the positioning because without a movement ability I believe there is no fast way to get back up, she would need to walk all the way back to behind the gas station to get back up. Doesn’t justify the clip, but maybe gives a little reasoning for both sides

Qp has had such a bad try hard problem lately. 😅 I'm not gonna say you should troll every game you play in qp, but you don't have to do strategies and flame teammates cause they're messing around. If you want to be competitive there is a mode for that.

Honestly man I’ve been a tracer main for a long time, I can play every role and I’ve been to every role, but being a DPS main is terrifying sometimes lol. It feels like in other peoples eyes, it’s either your doing good or your useless. there is no inbetween. Not saying dps is harder than the other roles at all. It’s just a lot more stressfull of a role then people think

I do agree with the first guy that it’s very annoying not having competent teammates, even if enemy team also has a bad player because it’s a team game and you should be somewhat similar to work together, especially if you are very good at team play but not the best mechanically But trash talking your team openly is bad never show your angry keep morality high

what about a charge meter? more you use it, the more it goes down. kinda like moira healing meter. not too crazy but just enough to give rein a bit more flexibility with pinning and moving.

the one with the tiktok about supports where they showed quick play matches, my view on quick play matches is that they are a utensil for learning heroes, positioning, and just f*cking around with friends. Those that take quick play seriously (and don't even get me started on players who take mystery heroes seriously, yes, they exist) don't party up with them, they are not fun people.

Honestly playing quickplay is fun, while ranked is just pure stress - I mean I might as well be at work if I am playing ranked.

One thing people don't get with seeing damage is if you have low damage but high elims you may be securing kills. I'd a guy has a bunch of damage but not a lot of elims they might just be shooting tanks. Don't just look at big numbers and equate that to actual work being done. If I'm playing mercy and I hard pocket the tank for 13k healing but we lose that might actually be on me depending on my second support. If we have an ana but she only got 6 to 7k worth of healing maybe I should let ana pocket the tank and I should damage boost. It leaves me will less numbers but allows for more value to be produced. If you have 10k damage but 5 elims it takes 20% of all your damage to get 1 elim is not a good conversion. If your ana has lower healing but is doing damage helping to end fights faster she might actually be providing better value than just heal botting. Looking at numbers without understanding the complexity of the game won't help you climb, it's just going to make you resentful. So instead of looking at all your damage. Look at all the kills you missed that would have given lower amount of damage but would have brought more value. Edit one think I also look at is like if I'm going reaper with a hanzo or widow. I'm going to have a bunch of damage but the widow won't. What she will have is elims. As the other dps with snipers I want to draw attention to myself and give my snipers easier picks because as they get elims they become more threatening to Supports and dps which allows me to pressure even more. Looking at numbers won't give you the entire picture especially if you think the numbers are the entire picture.

For rein u could make him able to stack the pin like 2 people 1 charge but it can’t 1 shot it would be divided or soemthing Or this is kinda an idea I came up with we all know how Rome pushes u if u don’t get pinned what about if he knocked u down like a very short stun like not even half a second just enough to keep him from dying every time he charges (or imo the one of th evest option that could do tow birds one stone is make it so kiriko Suzu DOENST CLENSE ULTIMATES it’s stupid how she bacially says ha no fck u junker queen rein and k think sombra but it should only not cancel effects the damage itself for that small invanuabke window should exist cus I should affect it that Much

I think following my teammates off a cliff is what kept me stuck in Silver for months. When I started 1-tricking Brig and going full demoknight, I suddenly climbed to Plat in 1 day. But I still sometimes get myself killed because I just can’t bear to see my poor idiot teammate getting killed without a friend

I take quickplay way to seriously to be fair, i want to play some comp but i dont have it unlocked and most of the time my team only does alright or is a bit shit and im no where good enough to carry, i do better then them yes but not good enough

i get some of the worst teamates ever quite often but there is no reason to really complaine about it you'll still rank up if you are decent at the game i was playing today getting some awful teamates and losing a few game but a ranked up 4 ranks.

I've only legitimately had one game where I could say my DPS was absolutely trash and that's when I had a Cassidy who had 20 deaths, 0 kills, 200 damage by the end of the first round. Turns out someone had walked away from their keyboard and the 5 year old was playing. It really always bugs me when I have a DPS/Tank saying "Look at how much damage I have!!!111" while they feed their brains out. Like, buddy, it doesn't matter if the enemy has their ults every fight because your dumb Rein is charging into the full team solo.

THANK YOU for saying quick play shouldn’t be sweaty!!! I finally turned off text chat (I can only see chat from people in my group) because I kept getting yelled at for trying to practice DPS (my worst role), especially Widow, at under 100 hours, when I’ve never played a shooter before. I can aim with scope pretty well, but getting dived while sniping is a HUGE problem for me, because I tend to panic if I’m surprised up close and THEN I can’t aim. I’ve now settled into a main role, support, and I’m happy there. I only really play comp with my friends, spending most of my time in quick play because comp scares me. It’s so weird to me how quick play is so sweaty for no reason. Go play comp if you care that badly????

For the first tiktok: it's not hard to rank up at all, if you're good and you play enough. I ranked up from finishing diamond 2 last season and after getting out of the season reset and climbing, I'm masters 2. I went plat 4, plat 2, diamond 5, diamond 3, diamond 1, masters 4 and now masters 2. I've had bad teammates along the way too but the enemy team has at times too. We had a game on Colosseo where their entire team had 0 kills and we full capped without them contesting the point once. Matchmaking isn't as bad as people make out. Even when having bad tanks it's still winnable, even if the guy is good it's harder to rank up with that mindset

Blaming teammates is the most toxic S*** someone can do.

That first dude, if he's collecting those stats and still losing, it's 100% his own fault 😂 And playing Sojounr + Tracer, if he's not tagging literally everything that dies in a team fight he's playing wrong, and he probably gets bailed out of bad positioning with her movement kit anyways hence why he always has a "great K/D". And this is exactly what anyone with half a braincell would have seen coming when Blizzard introduced team stats: That people can't read stats for shit and only take it at face value to hide behind instead of learning why the fuck they're still losing important team fights with 40/6 kd score like jesus something truly must not be clicking if he can't make decisive climbs with such stats. Learn win conditions beyond "shoot enemy, don't get shot". Learn to read team fights, learn to ult track, learn how to set up counters for enemy win conditions.. you know, the basic stuff needed to climb out of the middle ranks.

My mother healed in World of Warcraft and has taught me something very key that I take into every game that I have the ability to heal in. “You can’t heal stupid.” While that is a harsh way to word it, if someone is standing in avoidable damage, why should I waste my time keeping you alive? If you dive into the backline and I am unable to get close to keep you up, why should I risk myself in keeping you alive? Obviously, if someone can be saved then I do try to save them but I’m not gonna put myself in harms way to save someone being incredibly dumb. Edit: Ok, Quick Play is definitely different then ranked but I’m still gonna prioritize keeping myself alive while also trying to have fun with buddies.

On the first one, in silver/gold the dps players are a problem. You get a few decent dps players, but a lot of them don't seem to understand that this isn't call of duty. The only reason I started playing more dps is because I was sick of having to try to heal people who have no idea how to position themselves in a team fight and die twice as much as anyone else on their team.

I think the gm player in the second clip queued up for qp to "simulate" low rank games. So that they don't have to buy a low sr account or something. Qp is basically the same as low rank comp.

Was playing echo in quickplay yesterday to warm up since im getting tired of getting shit on by gm top 500 players while im in dia some rein in our team straight up said after we lost first point we have moira they dont get the f out of my lobby and left.... i didnt even know people took qp seriously before that

If people get that annoyed at their teammates in a team based game I think it's time they move to a more individual focused game Also the Reinhardt guy should start looking at pve for cooking because his pvp ideas would just be too much, but I do think rocket boost while standing as rein would be a cool ult replacement for pve, just a turbo rein swinging his hammer everywhere

You can’t play the game properly with teammates like that. And I get teammates like that, that are complete outliers in the match, on my team, CONSISTENTLY. It’s OWs only major problem imo, matchmaking is absolutely hot trash. And it makes me sad that flats is playing it off as a joke. The matchmaking isn’t unbalanced, it simply doesn’t work. It’s broken, basically nonexistent. This game needs cods SBM system. Bc whatever ow is doing ( I’ve heard they match ow1 players with new players to balance…) is just, well you can say it’s working loosely, but it’s not fun. And I don’t even play qp bc of it. If feels like it’s gotten worse with every update too. Can we please talk about / fix this?

I'm wondering why charge with the shield isn't a thing with Reinhardt while Brigitte is able to bash anyone with hers? I find that Reinhardt's shield's potential is a bit underutilized. It's just for defense, which is huge, but could be ... more. I think it could be awesome to chose to pin-charge (standard) or to plow-charge (with shield at front) into a group of enemies.

I get it's qp but you want to play overwatch for a reason. They should double down on people messing around or go to custom games. I dont want leavers, spammers, greifers, etc. I tried Ranked and I never touched it again when I got a reaper that told me "is just a game." Flats probably doesnt know the MMR in quickplay is sweaty as hell. Every match you get held hostage in spawn. But no yeah is just quickplay.

Tbh Rein pin is scuffed , targets that are in front of you that should be a 100% pin just boops away like Lucio just booped them. And some enemy heroes that when you charge are clearly ''behind'' Rein in the air , the charge picks them up and you pin them like WTF?

i love how at 1:16 the guy says then again 2nd dps can't keep up. and he shows 2 screenshots FROM THE SAME GAME like it's obvious, they're all the same people. people who use this kind of misconception to make themselves look better and complain are often pretty scummy imo.

Im a qp support gremlin, and I don't take any of my matches too seriously in the first place. The only time I pop off is if someone is being an absolute sh!tbag about heals. Spamming for heals? I'll spam back, yeah, and that's just what it is. Even then, I talk a lil sh!t and move on with my day bc its honestly not that serious. Like it's nice to get some wins but getting losses doesn't ruin my day.

As someone who had to deal with a tracer going 1-26 between two rounds that first guy can cry harder

I take quick play seriously because it's the only place I can play cross play with my console friends. I would play competitive with them if I could but I literally can't.

I feel like the first guy that was bashing his team mates needs to understand some DPS characters JUST won’t be getting that manny eliminations take hanzo for example you shouldn’t be expecting him to carry. Because that’s just not going to happen he gets most of his value most of the time from his Sonic and assisting his team so he should be having crazy assists if anything and damage

Imagine queing with a support and flaming other dps. He probably got cleansed 12 times and full pocketed. Alot of times the other dps is underperforming cause one support is up the tanks ass and the other is a grouped support with a dps. I have seen dps completely be better than the group dps and the stats not showing cause he is playing with no resources. Btw I play tank so I have no bias.

If you play cross-platform QP lobbies are mega sweaty because you can’t play comp cross-platform. Just what me and my friends have run into since two of them are on console still

3:20 I have no sympathy for widow and sojourn players. This is definitely a hot take for all the one shot heros out there but mostly for widows and sojorns. We have been dealing with getting our heads taken off for 3 seasons and I'm losing my mind hell nerf widows and sojourns one shots to 20 damage per charged shot so I can enjoy my game without having to hide behind walls and sheilds every match.

Finally someone spoke about people taking qp to seriously. I was playing widow to learn at least 1 sniper esc hero and people kept going, 'oh switch off widow you bad' or 'gg guys we have a brain dead widow
