PedroFelix: Good to see someone else with a decent brain. There are 8 tiers in Overwatch and if people think actual bronze players should have 50% accuracy, then they're just plain blind. Bronze players accuracy should be between 10-20% OverSumo's system is quite good and shows the accuracy tiers for each hero and 50% is not bronze at all. People in GM can have 80% accuracy in a match, but that doesn't mean 50% is super low and should easily be the average of a bronze player 7 tiers below.

HawkyZation he's a very hot and cold player. either his aim is on point or he's missing every shot. I guess you call it streaky player. aim not very consistent. his awareness and game sense are pretty poop as well. reaction speed is pretty average. crosshair placement movement skill synergy team synergy prediction all very meh. that's what he's lacking and that's why he's bronze. my aim is similar to his on McCree. aim is very streaky and sometimes inconsistent but that's because sometimes I can't go through with my decision on who to aim at. I will flick to one person but then flick to someone else before I actually click or fire causing me to miss. but I can play at 3300 with McCree even tho I have under 5 hours on him because i have good enough game sense and awareness to get myself into multiple favorable 1v1 scenarios, predict where they're gonna go or be, their team formation, and decide preemptively based on my presumptions of how they're going to play and go into a skirmish with a flexible but concrete plan. you gotta have a good idea of what you're going to do before you get into a fight but also be fast enough to make adjustments to your plans based on new information. that's what you need to do and that is the most fundamental skills to be good at any pvp game or competition. even more so then aim although I'd say there are certain minimums and thresholds for what character you play. esp for DPS chars. no aim no DMG no kills no win. like I'd say you should be aiming for a min of 40%accuracy on soldier and if you can't to that do not play him and to have a recommended accuracy of about 65% before I'd say you'd be a good soldier around 45 to 50% on McCree or don't play him. and atleast 60% is when you'd be good. atleast 30%on genji 40% to be good. not including games against torbs in any of these cases because stationary targets like the turret will artificially boost your accuracy. I'd say these are the bare mins you have to be at to be considered decent or good aim for a character. it's around these points where skills outside of pure aiming will get much further mileage than just purely trying to improve your aim. although better accuracy always helps.

If he is streaky player it just means he has bad aim and he either has some luck and hits something or has no luck and hits nothing. My aim is quite bad in the 30% range, but even I made it into lower plat.

Why would you even talk about Accuracy %? The most meaningless stat in the game because it's changed by firing into barriers.

Not really. It's good for zoning, as people become a lot more cautious when they here that voiceline. And a semi decent McCree can charge his ult in no time.

Use mccree's ult for confirming kills or when their dps is in los to zone.Pretty good against pharah if she uses her jumpjet immediately use q and she will be dead.Also pretty good if you enemy transes since it keeps them at bay.Only expect to get more then 1-2 kills in very rare situations or in combination with other ult's.You can actually 1v1 soldier when he visors but only if he doesnt have helix. Best way to use mccree's ult is shieldbreak,depending on how many people are behind the shield youcan do from 400(orisa)-2000(rein) sometimes breaking the shield and actually confirming a kill.But be in a postion where you don't have a problem with their dps being behind a shield.

thats the point actually, dont try to constantly go for the 3+ ultimate kills, its really not bad to just use it to break a shield or just get 1 or 2 kills, rather get those than holding on for too long or die because you want to get too much done

If u are in a situation when u need to reload and 7 would die if u do just click q and break it up right away so it reloads ur ammo

A noice trick is to use your ult then cancel it immediately. If you do this they're all on edge because of the voiceline "IT'S HIIIIIIGH NOOON" yet when you cancel it they don't know that, they're still looking for ya. If you're behind cover or behind the enemy they can't really see you cancelled it unless they look at you, and if they have no comms it's even better because the one Orisa that just died to you can't tell her team you're behind them.

Yeah it does. I used to be in Gold and it's not uncommon to have half-decent comps.

Its better to play with friends because you kinda know how everyone else plays and what characters they can play well. Also there is the familiarly with them, and the lower the possibly of someone being toxic in chat, because you guys are friends.

Andrew Bertain I am in Bronze as well and we have decent team comps almost every game (people generally try to go 2-2-2, sometimes one tank 3 dps). We also usually have several people on voice comm, even if communication is not the best. I am climbing slowly but it's not like you can just shoot up. High bronze players are not bad enough that someone who should be at gold can really solo carry a bad team that tilts and trickles in, so there is a lot of luck in terms of what teammates you get.

oskari It's not based just on your skill, it's based on your team's skill too. If you're really good, but the rest of your team sucks, you're gonna get placed low.

As a high Silver, I totally agree, but you don't need to have a conversation. You can still make call outs and be effective that way. If you shout out over voice comms "There's a Soldier behind us" people will instinctively turn around.

low silver here. in my experience, if someone tries to lead the group or shotcall, then when the team loses, the team will flame him / her relentlessly. so no one uses voice comms ever

i once was the only one in voice chat so i just kept talking random trash in high silver

i found if you speak other members of your team are more likely to speak. and really, if you tell your team to follow the rein in after he charges and they do that can be as impactful as popping an ultimate

Dude, that's only a stat and it's influenced by many things. Like Dani said, he aimed at bronze players whose movement and positioning may not be the best. He shot Dva alot and that buffed his aim stat nicely. And notice that he barely hit any headshots - McCree LIVES by his headshots...

You are nowhere near his lvl just make a smurf account or ask someone you know who is low. What you will see is that your aim seems to get better the lower you go. I once went down 500 points trying to learn Zarya but as soon as I switched to mccree I started demolishing the enemy team. There was no minute long fight with tracer I just killed min 2 people at the start of every push alone. I didn't needed to care about positioning because people don't rally move to avoid shots. This makes the game feel like it's moving at half speed or something. So his aim just looks ok because he has enemies that dont dodge. But him into a 2.5 k game and he wouldn't hit shit.

Your problem is that you are an Ana main at a low rank. Don't get me wrong, Ana is a great hero, one of the best ones possibly, but you can't solo carry as a support hero in this game. And at low ranks you really need to solo carry cause nobody knows how to play the game properly, e.g communication.

Not Flamouss His aim is not that good though, he was shooting barriers and people with big hitboxes to get high accuracy, he misses 2/3shots most the time against people that are not moving much.

That's like the ideal way of looking at this game, however, it really isn't like this in my experience. Most players don't like playing non-dps characters such as the supports, so when they are forced to play them, they can't keep the team alive at all. This is the reason why I am a full time support (Mercy main), with experience in tank characters (Reinhardt/Orisa). Let me tell you...playing support is not that big of a deal, but babysitting five morons that don't know what they're doing is a chore that is never rewarded and is a role deprived of all gratitude.

Well, if you can aim, you can aim. If you can't it will take a while and a lot of games to learn it.

this is my first ever fps game so I struggle quite a bit at times despite being level 105. I do tend to understand sometimes when its my fault and when its my teams fault but also, after going on a big losing streak, ur literally stuck. On console in low silver/high bronze, ur always stuck with people who can't communicate and always and i mean always leave the game if they have like one bad ult or something

Exactly what I was referring to. Certain players STUCK in bronze/silver are there because they ragequit games. The other players STUCK in bronze/silver are there because other players ragequit games. While it would be easy for me to take over a game at that level even in a 5v6, watching some people playing at that level at my local cybercafé, I could see why they would struggle getting out. Some of them have good reflexes and aim, but they aren't given the forum to learn the real skills that get them out of that SR simply because people leave games so often, or it's so easy for someone to get the team down (one of the disadvantages of voice comm) You're really only ever as good as the people you regularly play against. I understand that not everyone tryhards like some of us do with learning new techniques and practicing our aim, and to that end, it's infinitely more difficult for these players to get better, because their only medium they're interested in is competitive play, and so few of those games are of a good enough quality at that SR to even teach them something worth a damn.

Find some people and get in a 6-stack. I was Bronze earlier this season and found a lot of people to play with. Now I'm gold and every game is super fun even when we lose.

Quick tips: Always be positive to your team, if your heanzo hits a headshot on someone, just tell him "Nice shot" or something. And 2, when you're tilted, just stop playing. Bc you're gonna loose every game you play when your angry at something
