The Hoover Hushtone has all the features we could ask for in a commercial vacuum but it has one drawback. At the end of this short video I will show Hoover Hushtone owners a simple upgrade that overcomes the only limitation this vacuum has and it is very easy and inexpensive to do.

I love my Hushtone too. I have had the 15" model for a few years. I'm the same as you, prevac on high and post vac in low. ONLY issue I've really had is the foot lock/release. I've replaced it at least 3 times and need to again right now. I actually carry an extra on the van, but have gotten use to it not standing up on its own and have been too lazy to swap it out. Guess I'll go out and swap it right now since I'm feeling guilty about admitting that. Lol

I noticed it is easy to pull the handle back while pushing on the foot release and that stresses the release. I broke myself of that habit and now I make sure I press the foot release down before pulling the handle back and I have never broken my release yet.
