It's not that he dispises love or anything like that, it's just that he has an establishment that is all about LUST. Therefore, he wants songs that are about lust, but Moxie came into a place of LUST, and sang about LOVE. So if you think about it, Moxie is definitely in the wrong lol.
I don't think he dislikes love at all it just wasn't appropriate for the establishment so he was thinking more about it as a business owner then a person at the moment if that makes sense
Well in a way lust is bad hence why it's a sin there is no good sin, even in the song he says you sold your life for a thrust now that's the spirit of lust. I mean you dont get called a 7 deadly sin, get an entire circle of hell, and dwell in hell to have your morales debated upon XD
Im getting the impression that they dont really mind Mox and Mils relationship, but Moxxies musical theme kind of clashes with the actual theme of their establishment, and they seemed to actually vibe with his song, he just wasnt at the right place for the said song
They dont seem hypocritical of their relationship at all, since both their relationships seem to ride on them both being openly cuddly with eachothers partners in public, so like- Ozzie kicking them out actually was a really nice move since he couldve killed them, he seemed more angry that they hurt Fizz then them actually clashing with the clubs theme,
yeah asmodeus didn't really strike me as a huge villain comapred to past antagonists, he's just a prettentious asshole who looks down on romance and finds it beneath him

Well his idea of lust is desires and fantasy's over all other things. He would think family is love not lust (unless its the bad kinda love from alabama) think of it like this. Love and lust are 2 sides to a coin. Love can be lustful but they are not exactly the same thing, love can also become more lustful then actual love. I'd like to think that he wasn't initially aware of it being strictly a strip joint. Maybe he just thought it was some high-class joint that was just par for the course in that particular ring of hell.
Other demons being jerks to Stolis is one thing, but Wackford's bit is just infuriating--an imp mocking a demon for sleeping with an imp. The writing of this show is outlandishly good.
I mean, even if Wackford himself is of a lower caste in society, he evidently still respects that distinction between the nobles and the lower-class demons. Until VERY recently in human history, if a noble was caught having an affair with a peasant (which they often did but kept under wraps), they'd be mocked by even the peasantry too - because it breaks down the barrier between "us" and "them".
The fact that Verosika calls Blitz a *"heartbreaking* freak" proving she really was heartbroken despite being a succubus. She wasn't just with Blitz for sexual needs, she really was in love with him, just like Stolas.
@@thepaladin4335 Well... it is still quite clear that despite being proud from being lover of prince, Blitz fail to recognize that Stolas genuinely love him.
This episode showed that when Blitzø looks through his phone, the picture of him and Fizz, then him and Verosika at some event and lastly his family, tons of development was made for his character and I'm super excited to see where they take it from here. Though a lot of patch work will be needed for Stolitz to work as a ship 😩
@@DavidAguilar-nj1gp I think Versokia may have been the first relationship Blitz had that's remotely close to being genuine or healthy ever since whatever happened with his family and Fizz. Perhaps it started as a lighthearted fling type but it probably soon turned serious and Verosika probably showed her intention to take the relationship more seriously and showed more affection or actually said "I love you" for the first time or whatever, but it triggered Blitz's trauma causing him to break the relationship with a dickish move which ended the relationship and causes Verosika to become bitter and rightfully so. I think after breaking up with her, Blitz found or recruited Moxie and Millie and adopted Loona, which was in some way his way of trying to learn how to become better at loving and receiving love after the fiasco with Verosika.
I don’t see enough people talking about my man’s vocals. His name is James Monroe Iglehart who has portrayed Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson during Hamilton’s Broadway run and also has other acting work. His stage forming history really shows with this and it’s amazing!
I know!!! James Monroe Iglehart is honestly one of my favorite actors! He’s so immensely talented! He also played the genie in the Broadway production of “Aladdin”. When I heard that James voices both Vortex (Verosika’s hellhound) AND Asmodeus, I was very pleasantly surprised
Well it’s hell, Sometimes you wanna hear something wholesome that’s so rare around those parts than the everyday cynicism of hell. Nice change of pace I bet lol

I love how Asmodeus is giving second chance to Moxxie to sing proper songs for his place, explaining rules in rhymes before it and why love songs not for Ozzie's. Asmodeus is right. You don't go to church to sing about how you admire bondage and pissplay. It's just upside-down.
When the illusion of Stella and Octavia appeared, he didn’t seem particularly hurt by Stella- but seeing Octavia, his face become more upset, even a pupil in his eye like Octavia’s
Well, Stella has been lashing out constantly ever since he started cheating on her long-term. While she must be hurting, that probably pushed him further away.
@@jonquilgemstone We obviously don't know yet, but Stolas seems a lot like traditional royalty. And Stella is the same race as him. There's a very good chance it was an arranged or political marriage, and he never cared for her to begin with. I don't know if the creator ever confirmed if he was bisexual or something, but he also might just be straight up gay. I actually know a gay man that has a kid; he was married to a woman and had a kid before figuring out he liked men more and didn't really like women sexually. They had a normal divorce and he's married to another guy now.
@@OGXenos “We were never-“ -in love. It was definitely an arranged marriage. I’ve heard Stella isn’t even mad about Stolas cheating, it’s hell after all, she is mad that he is cheating on her with an imp.
@@damobeck1 I say the part where she's mad only for him cheating on her with an imp part is a stretch. Stella's language makes it pretty obvious she's mad at both pretty equally but her emphasis is definitely on the cheating part and the imp part just makes it worse. How can we deduce that? When she's on the phone talking to that snake imp I forgot his name about Stolas's assassination she specifically calls Stolas "cheating prick" not something like "imp loving prick" or "imp sucking prick."
Asmodeus is the third most powerful demon in the world. Just imagine this, you're a common employee singing in a high class club and suddenly Putin comes out and disses you
Are you sure about that ? Isn't Asmodeus generally the weakest of the 7 deadly sins ? That would make him the 7th strongest, or even the 9th, considering Charlie and Lilith are also ranked above him.
I love how Asmodeus says Stolas throwing his family away for a "fling" is the spirit of lust. It's not just the lust he enjoys. He loves to see others fall and break because of it. A small reminder of where this is all taking place.
@@taylorlipinski4048he can’t comeback cause she is right and he feels guilty, plus she did not interrupt, the mic was handed to her, she is apart of the song🤦♀️
I like Ozzie because, unlike almost every other villain in media. He doesn't have a big evil (morally questionable) plan, his just going around antagonizing are main character (maybe even unintentionally) and then leaves like a boss.
if you think about it he is actually being kinda fair with them, he didnt said any lie in his song (except for milie being unsatisfied), and didnt want them to ruin the vibe of his local, also he is one of the most powerfull demons he could easily destroy them for attacking his employee but he just tell them to get out of his club
Technically, Ozzie is in the right here. Moxie sang about wholesome love in a strip club. King of lust didn't even threaten or kick moxie out at first, just said "man, you can sing, just spice the song alright?"
@@alexanderramirez9832 I think everyone except him knew what would happen. It's my first time with a comment with more than 100 likes... Even though I don't know what I said.
See i find the portrail of Asmodas was actually very interesting. First if you listen and watch his actions, he actually seems to have no problem with moxxie and millies relationship, just the style of his song being in the WRONG place for it. He even gave him a chance to share his feelins a different way and keep up the song and serenade to match the mood of his establishment and keep his others comfortable. 2 he is not really all that aggressive as Fizz seens the more hostile when it comes to blitzo. In fsct even when everyone else is attacking blitzo for his shitty love lift, asmo instead goes for stolis who was at rhe time the more entertaining and showed off the spirit of lust, which more delighted him then anything else. Plus he axtuslly seemed worrried when millie clocked fizz at at the end, unlike a normal demon would be expected to, nore slaughterer them but instead just kicking them out of his placs. This tells me that most likely like the sin he embodies, Asmo is probably the most social of all the kings while also taking the most pleasure in those around him falling to his sin.
He's actually dangerous in a very realistic way. If you watch, he has no concern for people's personal boundaries, getting right in their faces when he wants to. So if he decides he wants to fuck you or even just interact with you, there's no way to escape. The audience doesn't complain because he's so charismatic and talented, which is how real celebrities get away with sexual assault. If someone does try to do something about Asmodeus, he'll just expose their shitty life choices for the rest of the crowd to laugh at. They can be victimized too, at any time, but they do as he says so he won't get rough with them and they can stay in his circle. This is how cult leaders maintain power. He wouldn't hurt Fizz, which adds a lot of complexity to both characters, but they're both sadistic sex pests who take pleasure in ruining lives with lust. If he had any morality whatsoever, he would get rid of this cyborg garbage clown. Ozzie is fun to watch, but he's an example of how insidious sexual predators are and how they keep victims from doing anything in response to the abuse.
its nice to see that asmodeus cares for Fizzarolli droping making fun of moxie to see if he is ok and being playful and even kicking them out for attacking him
And he doesn't abuse his power in rank nor strength as ruler of lust ring to kill or server injured lowlife imps, just kick them out because they're full of pure love, nonlust and he dislikes it. He looks really chill and non-violent for being one of the most powerful demons, at least in this episode.
Asmodeus' entire character is amazing, also love how it seems to show the 7 Princes are likely all top dogs, above Stolas. (Albeit Asmodeus is generally the weakest of the 7 princes)
Likely the least worst of the bunch as well. Make no mistake, just as much an SOB as any Prince. Don't be fooled by his charm and charisma; underneath that is selfishness and vindictiveness. A sinner condemned to the First circle might suffer least, for Asmodeus is the least cruel. But it would be a mistake that for genuine benevolence. A sinner in lust is still a scrub...and fair game every year. Stolas is one of the Princes, of Pride. Effectively making him an equal to Asmodeus. Stolas though...if I was to make an infernal pact with any prince, it would be him. Its more likely to be a straightforward transaction: my soul in exchange for a pre-agreed upon benefit. I just need to keep it all business, do what he demands of me, and never offend his pride. With the rest, even Asmodeus, I have no reason to assume they will keep their word.
@@tristanband4003 Stolas isn't a prince of Pride, that is Lucifer, charlie's dad and a fallen angel, which gives him higher authority to even the other princess

I can't get over 1:22 - 1:26 Fizz making it rain AND THEN his eyes almost popping out of his head trying to push Ozzie up lmfao these types of little things are what make me love this series so much
Did anyone else notice that when Asmodeus was calling out Stolas, Blitzo was looking at him like "How is he going to react?" and only started looking embarrassed and disappointed when Stolas hid behind his menu? I mean he was embarrassed when being called out by Verosika and Fizz, but only seemed like he wanted to disappear when he realized that Stolas was embarrassed to be sleeping with him.
Agree and to Stolas, It is all about ideology and accusation here.. Asmodeus got Stolas pinned into the corner with his sound argument... even Stolas knew Asmodeus is right. There is no point fighting and using power just to save face... The truth is out there and already been exposed even before Stolas went to Ozzie's. The only thing he can do in his situation is sit duck! Because he himself has carried out the lust sin and is accused by the prince of this sin himself. It is like a court of impeachment.
Correction. Stolas was embarrassed from being call out on on lust. And he react previously to Ozz name implying that they did have history and that Stolas most likely did take pride from being faithful until now. But that detail is easy to miss and whole situation was staged exactly so Blitz would assume that he is ashamed of him.
Okay, first, Verosikas part makes it clear once again, she is not the villain but the victim of the story that happened between her and Blitz. And she is still suffering, which she expresses with disgust and anger. Second, Asmodeus being so open about mocking Stolas could come from the fact that he is above him in the Ars Goetia. Asmodeus is a King, Stolas is "merely" a prince. Lastly, I like to believe that part of the audience applauded because even demons like to see something wholesome from time to time.
If I remember correctly, blitz stole her credit card for horse back riding lessons, and left her to pay for the hotel room. While she's a victim, I cannot believe that she is still bitter over that.
@@burnttoast.2017 I mean, given what we know about Blitz now and how she talked about him being unwilling to try to get her off and how angry she was about it, I think we can take away that she's not actually just talking about him in bed, but rather that he was distant and didn't really put energy into making her happy like she did for him. In Blitz' head, everyone leaves eventually, so he limits his attachment to them by pushing them away and being an asshole, which of course is WHY everyone leaves.
I'm not sure Verosika is entirely the victim here. It's possible the relationship between them was rushed and toxic, Blitzø most likely jumping into a sex-filled relationship to escape from the pain of (Possibly) loosing his family, and Verosika having a wild fling with this fiery imp. Chances are both parties have been mistreating each other, Blitzø taking Verosika's money for personal matters, and Verosika possibly abusing Blitzø. However because Verosika is the popular idol and Blitzø is a lowly imp, people are more willing to listen to Verosika's side of the relationship and give a rat's ass on Blitzø's side.
@@caelantheeverchosen5510 blitzo still proves he's an A-hole though, thats why verosika's side is very convincing. I don't really believe verosika abused him either but rather blitzo ignoring her and was very much on the receiving end.

I love the little detail that the white dots appear in Stolas' eyes when he looks at the disapproving vision of Octavia, but not Stella. Although alarmed, he's clearly accustomed to the fact that his ex-wife hates him now and wants nothing to do with him- but the idea of _Octavia_ hating him for what he's done is still frightening.
Well I mean song has always been a thing people have connected with lust. I mean just look at sirens. It makes sense they would pick a voice that’s absolutely amazing for the embodiment of lust.

Ozzie is in his full demon form here I believe. If you look you can notice he had a much smaller form we can get a glimpse of when he wasn’t singing. In this series it seems as if most higher demons and even some more powerful basic demons have a monstrous state they can “compress” into the forms we see mostly. For example stolas’ full form was horrific and beast like not to mention much larger than he presents himself typically Plus Ozzie is the literal king of the lust ring, a fallen angel, and the embodiment/patron demon of that sin. It makes sense that when he chooses to fully manifest himself it is a especially large and monstrous form especially when he is manifesting this way in his own domain. If we read about the Ozzie in the real world text he is utterly terrifyingly powerful, and as a fallen angel his form like this should have had lesser demons petrified. This is because as a fallen angel he is leagues above any demon by his very nature

I feel like Moxxies song to Millie resonated with Stolas. He knows that his feelings for Blitz clash with his status but that doesn't change his feelings for Blitz. It also gave Stolas a possible reality check that lust and sex aren't the only thing that's desirable in a relationship/partnership. Stolas acted on lustful impulses and so did Blitz (even if it was to get the book.)and that's what their relationship was positioned for up until now. Absolutely love the depth in this show 😍 ❤
I like how Stolas reacts. He's not immediately just going to say how much he loves Blitzø in front of multiple people. We've seen that he's just been a secluded rich asshole who doesn't know what consequences are. It's realistic
While I agree his is secluded he is in no way an asshole. Stolas loves Blitzo and even though Blitzo is constantly pushing him away cuz he thinks he’s not good enough, Stolas doesn’t leave. It doesn’t make him an asshole to leave his wife either. If there isn’t any more love there it would be crueler to keep that relationship going.
It's nice how asmodeus really shows both good and bad sides of himself, just like his role on hell actually is, he punishes the ones who go too far in their desire, but also encourages the ones with love and lust interest equally, for his own entertaintment and to keep the good mood.
Okay but 2:49 "Now that's the spirit of lust" I can't help but think how this seemingly "inoffensive" sin can really mess up your whole life; the background choir, the music and Asmodeus' voice just gives that little scary touch to it. It's really amazing. Lust is really something frightening, and sadly often is one of the most underappreciated sins.

Absolute incredible how much was conveyed in these short 4 minutes. M&M's wholesome relationship, Ozzie and Fizzie's lust, Blitz's fear and crave for intimacy, stolas's insecurity, and even a little bit of verosika's mind, each in a different style of music and composition, yet everything fits together perfectly to form this one great piece of music. Brilliant
To me, it seems they're using mox and mils relationship and the lovey dovey stuff we see from them as a comedy segment of the song like the crowd never boos moxie or azmodeus when he's singing. They even applauded the song at the end, but the song doesn't go with the theme of the club and azmodeus wants his reputation as the "embodiment of lust" to stay squeaky clean. Just my opinion tho, and azmodeus and fizzaroli are pretty funny together because Az just towers over fizz. But when they see blitzø they just rip into him. Then they see stolas and they rip into stolas for going out with blitz.

To be fair. These lyrics make more sense, especially with the "we'll" not to grammer police a song but "fate we-will handle the rest" doesn't make as much sense as "We-will handle the rest"
