P1101 Air Flow Volume Chevy Malibu "Help Needed" 

"UPDATE" We had to replace the complete throttle body to fix the p1101 on this vehicle.

There is bulletin for that, as a matter of fact I'm doing one today,it is to replace the pcv valve inside the valve cover

Camshaft Intake and exhaust solenoid and mass airflow sensor replacement

My scan tool is throwing a P1101 twice, pending & permanent. P0299, P2227. Replaced the turbo booster sensor & cleaned the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner. Engine light stayed off longer than it was after all that. But ultimately came back on. So I removed the throttle body tube and noticed some light gunk & condensation bubbles on butterfly valve, So I carefully cleaned that as well. Same codes still show. ANY advice would be much appreciated. (2017 Chevy Malibu LT 1.5 Turbo) Thank you! 💪🏼

I also have same problem with p0420 and p1101 codes , I cleaned the MAF and there is no leaks throttle bode clean but I found the PCV stuck open It was sucking air from oil cap filler so I replace them it fix it temporarily for one day after that check engine light come back ☹️

i replaced a turbo boost sensor and MAF Sensor and the code P1101 would immediately come back on........i pulled the throttle body off and cleaned it really good on both sides of the throttle plate and the code went away. problem fixed!

Lol, I'm old school "good ol boy" type. I don't have all the expensive $500 reader you got there, (Is that a Launch?), so I just find the cheapest probable cause and replace it. If that don't work, I start going up the price chain lol.

After changing my mass air flow the light went off but it came back on when I used my key pod to start my car what do I do

This is gonna sound absolutely insane but I'm fighting the same thing on my 16 malibu, ruled out air filter, map, maf and removed TB and spent 2 hrs cleaning anything that bitch clean,im talking a cleaning like it was the holy grail I was gettin ready to list on ebay! And after I hooked it all back up, no check engine light and after about 50-60 miles the code stored disappeared, problem solved right...., fuck no p1101 about 10 days later, as I hover over the engine compartment, staring down and inventing new curse word combination, ( fuck this piece of fuck shit ..... u get the point) i followed the tube down from throttle body down to front left where it runs down, and I noticed the bottom intercooler line covered in I assumed trans fluid, and it also runs right by the tub so I popped it off @ the TB and took a peek, absolutely filthy as when I cleaned 10 days prior. Could that leaking fluid on intercooler line be getting up to TB via the tube somehow, if so where at? Seriously guys, if this car had a leg or an arm I swear it would reach and trip me as I walked by! So basically it's a couple times a month TB gets douched Thought about throwing a small amount of glow in dark micha powder around down by leaking line, and give a 20 min drive and pop off TB and shone black light in among the mess and see if it makes its way to TB....... It's on the schedule for tonight or tomorrow, I'll let u know what I find, unless I'm delayed by the appt I'll need with therapist to talk through thus new set of issues!

This guy cost that customar a fortune just throwing parts at the car hoping one of them might fix it...

I'm having the same issue, I changed my air filters (under hood & from behind glove compartment), also cleaned throttle. Light went off for 3 days. Does anyone know how much it would cost if I just took it to the dealer?

So I swapped on my air filter and my check engine light came out and showed me the same P 1101

Just a possibilities. Is the ecm reading wrong?

Dude I had my 2018 Chevy Malibu Mark Wahlberg's dealership for 9 days they could not determine the reason why the check engine light came on same code came up as this one I keep telling them the mass airflow sensor

I changed my mass air flow but the check engine light still on

Replaced MAP sensor it wasnt the problem. Who paid for that ? And why dont you just diagnose what the real issue is Before buying parts
